Proposal description

The Dash NEXT team has established partnerships, led integrations, driven business opportunities, created use cases, and engaging media stories for Dash. Based in Asia, we have leveraged local networks and strengthened Dash’s position across markets and industries around the globe.
We love to see the crypto space booming and growing at an incredible speed. We want Dash to play a crucial role in it. This is why we are always exploring new markets and use cases for Dash as DeFi and Nft’s.
Since Q3/20 Dash NEXT is the first DFO to strongly push for cross-chain partnerships, use cases and new opportunities in the decentralized Finance (DeFi) ecosystem. Since then, we already have achieved a lot and, bit by bit, bringing together the building blocks for Dash to be part of the new money legos movement. 
Many partnerships and integrations have been accomplished during the last couple of months, such as the launch of stDash on Sushiswap, where users can now trade Dash on Ethereum, a partnership with oracle provider DIA to bridge the gap of exchanging data between Dash and Ethereum, a partnership with OIN to enabling issuance of Dash backed decentralized stable Coins and partnerships with Rubic and other companies to offer cross-chain transferability for Dash. These are just a few examples of major steps. Please find the full list below.

We are humbled by the positive feedback from the community on these achievements and on our commitment to this new approach. But we want to commit even more and help everyone understand the value of these integrations. For this reason, we have begun to push most of our new partners for dedicated community AMAs.
Moving forward, we are continuing this approach and already have many new opportunities in the pipeline, such as yield farming programs or Dash listings on other famous DEX across different exchanges for example. 

To summarize our focus:

  • Continuing to work closely with other DFO such as Dash Incubator and Dash Core to maximize outcomes and work towards shared goals. 
  • Pushing for new opportunities in the DeFi Space and use cases between different Blockchains 
  • Collaborating with partners to build on Dash. 
  • Create more media partnerships and tell engaging stories about Dash; also to get people from other crypto communities excited. 
  • Of course, we will continue pushing forward Dash integrations in the payment space with merchants, exchanges, and other partners.

Highlights of our work in 2019:

  • “DAO Building of the year” award for Dash, represented by Dash NEXT at Malta Blockchain Summit, one of Europe’s largest Blockchain events with 6k+ participants.
  • Healthy merchants and consumer ecosystem in Thailand, in the top-3 ranking on Anypay globally for many consecutive months.
  • 9 exchange integrations, many of them top exchanges and more integrations already in progress. Of course we want Dash to be integrated everywhere, but one of the main goals here is getting as many fiat on/off ramps as possible to be able to provide end-to-end solutions to merchants with fiat settlement requirements.

Key Learnings of our Approach:

  • The Blockchain ecosystem is fastly moving towards decentralized financial products and cross-chain applications. Bridges are essential building blocks between projects and the number of DeFi users is growing rapidly.
  • Wrapped assets enable trade on various DEX, other building blocks are also key to enable truly decentralized applications, such as Oracles or cross-chain bridges.
  • Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain remain the biggest projects in terms of total value locked and usage in the area of yield farming. To bring Dash into DeFi our focus will remain there but we are open to other opportunities such as Matic or Polygon. 
  • Enabling crypto payments is like putting together a big puzzle
  • Dash needs local partners all over the globe (exchanges, payment services, merchants, etc.) that enable us to legally operate in each market
  • Fiat gateways are a key element to grow merchant ecosystems around the world. To achieve this, exchanges with fiat trading pairs a required
  • Merchants need support - it is a long way for them to understand cryptocurrencies
  • Big and small businesses are often scared of crypto payments as they do not know how to handle the technology and mistrust a volatile asset. Giving them options to easily and immediately exit to the fiat of their choice and providing them a personal support contact is the best way to overcome these worries.
  • Local networks and exposure are key to create partnerships
  • Blockchain is one of the fastest moving industries. The most efficient way to know key players is to meet them at conferences and events.
  • The Asian crypto scene is huge and participating in conferences and events has created most of our leads and completed integrations
  • Good personal contacts can put Dash high up in our partner’s priorities and makes integrations happen fast
  • Cooperation and streamlining of efforts between Dash Teams around the world increase outcomes and cost-efficiency
  • Identifying shared goals can create great results one team alone cannot create - e.g. the combined effort of Dash Incubator, DCG and Dash NEXT to systematically reach out to all exchanges without Dash listing has shown great results
  • Having regular calls with teams around the world enables us to help other team and get help where it is needed

Thanks for your comment. We are still waiting in the queue as many projects want to have their tokens/coins wrapped by REN. Back then they told us earliest Q2/2021. From our side everything is in place, but we have to wait unfortunately for REN, same as many other projects too.
