Proposal description

Dash NEXT’s is actively scaling Dash adoption by finding strategic partnerships (regionally and globally) and driving business development for the Dash ecosystem by integrating Dash at payment services, multi-merchant organizations, establishing partnerships with crypto, non-crypto and fintech organizations on all relevant verticals and creating marketing partnerships with crypto-related events and conferences. We want to massively increase visibility of Dash in Asia and beyond. Specifically In Thailand and the Philippines. This proposal intends to increase Dash adoption by further establishing the Dash merchant network, drive user adoption for locals and travelers and engage the community. 
In Thailand, we have created not only the first merchant ecosystem in Asia. More importantly, we have created a strong use case for Dash in the travel industry that has led to partner integrations that now offer millions of hotels and airline tickets. 
In the Philippines, we have enabled the Dash market entry with a similar approach, but with the main focus on the remittances market. Therefore most importantly, the first integrations Dash to Philippine Peso and other trading pairs are completed. Meaning the first ever Dash to FIAT conversations in the Philippines are possible now. This is a groundbreaking achievement not only for the Philippines, but for the global Dash community and the Dash remittances use case around the world. Also a small merchant ecosystem is getting established, media coverage is getting pushed, multiple online meetups as well as conference partnerships took place. Similarly, we have also entered the Indonesian market as the first exchanges are now offering Rupia to Dash trading pairs. 

Beyond pushing these use case further, we are currently in conversations with more online retail, marketing activities in social media channels, onboarding further fiat on/off ramps all over Asia and help creating more Dash related online content to grow and engage new users through various campaigns in collaboration with our partners as AMA’s, trading competitions, video interview, mainstream articles and more. 
We are furthermore  continuing with education and merchant onboarding efforts in the Philippines as well as creating further partnerships in the striving Cannabis/CBD sector in Thailand and Southeast-Asia. The Dash Next team extends also its reach now further into other Asian markets such as Vietnam and Indonesia.  Dash listings at Cash2VN, Vietnam's biggest crypto to Vietnamese Dong money transfer as well as a listing at one of the largest crypto exchanges in Indonesia Digitalexchange.id providing Fiat trading pairs in Dash vs. Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) are already established. 
Having teams on the ground in Asia has driven great results over the last quarters. We have integrated numerous fiat on and offramps for multiple currencies such as THB, SGD, VND, KWR, INR, AUD, CNY, PHP and many more. We have also integrated multiple crypto to crypto exchanges and crypto to fiat trading pairs beyond Asia which also allow buying Dash with Visa and Mastercards.

In the past, most of our partnerships had been a direct result from our speaker invitations at the conferences. With the Covid-19 lockdowns continuing all over the world, we have adopted this strategy to a more digital approach by showing stronger presence in digital media, virtual conferences and increased activity in various social groups. We spoke at numerous conferences and reached thousands of people to educate them about Dash. 
Felix Mago became in his role as a keynote speaker an important face for Dash and will keep on speaking at important conferences. The Cannabis Investment Summit World (CISW) Conference where Dash Next co-founder Felix Mago has been sharing the stage with more than 60 speakers in front of over 10,000 attendees and the Southeast Asia DeFi Week where we could present Dash alongside all current hot DeFi projects are just two examples. 

On the 16th of July, for instance, Dash-Next co-founder Felix Mago shared the stage with the likes of Don Tapscott, Tim Draper and many more at the Reimagine conference or at Seamless Asia Virtual 2020 Conference, one of Asia’s largest conferences. 
We continued our media work with a video interview with Seamless Asia about Dash, the Blockchain & the future of payments, Latoken’s Live Roadshow and Live education stream at Impacthub Manila with Dash Philippines Ambassador Veronica. We have further created video content such as “How to use the Dash Core wallet and execute payments and transfers” presented by Dash Philippines Ambassador Veronica and a Video interview with Dash Philippines Head Ambassador Veronica Andrino and Dash legend Amanda B. Johnson to learn more about the Dash Next expansion into the Philippines and an easy 5 step guide to deploy a dash node.
As we always want to increase Dash’s usability and ensure a high ranking of Dash on CMC, we are currently exploring use cases and partnerships for Dash in the DeFI space. Given that Dash is the OG of DeFi, we have started reaching out to various new partners to evaluate how Dash can contribute to and profit from the movement. 
Multiple ideas have already been established and we are working with various members of the Dash community and external partners on topics such as wrapped Dash, bridges to other Blockchains, Dash liquidity pools and automated market making with user incentives, as well borrowing and lending use cases. Of course, this cannot be done overnight, so please stay tuned for more updates soon.

Key learnings and our approach
  • Enabling crypto payments is like putting together a big puzzle
    • Dash needs local partners all over the globe (exchanges, payment services, merchants etc.) that enable us to legally operate in each market
    • Fiat gateways are a key element to grow merchant ecosystems around the world. To achieve this, exchanges with fiat trading pairs a required
  • Merchants need support - it is a long way for them to understand cryptocurrencies
    • Big and small businesses are often scared of crypto payments as they do not know how to handle the technology and mistrust a volatile asset. Giving them options to easy and immediately exit to fiat of their choice and providing them a personal support contact is the best way to overcome these worries.
  • The travel industry is a great and viable use case for Dash
    • With one of the highest numbers of tourists, Thailand is the perfect market as Dash’s showcase
    • Crypto Payments is new for most travel platforms. The industry is a blue ocean of opportunities to build on 
  • Local networks and exposure are key to integrate Dash payments
    • Blockchain is one of the fastest moving industries. The most efficient way to know key players is to meet them at conferences and events.

Dash price has moved significantly, would like to see a more reasonable ask that leaves room in our budget for other projects.

Completely disagree. There is no point in having a smaller ask unless they actually need less. Having them expand to reach this new price point is EXACTLY WHAT WE WANT. I say we excluding you, because you don't seem to want to fund our teams, which means your motives/personal incentives are likely misaligned.

I don't like their use of unnecessary facebook links here or that their site is basically a static image with an info link to Dash.org...

Regarding our website: Dash Next is a B2B Biz Dev unit / Sub-DAO of the Dash Network / superior Dash DAO. So Dash Next itself has only a linkedin page and a simple website as a online business card. The nature of our work as B2B BIZ DEV unit and the structure of the Dash Network representing all Dash Sub-DAO's on dash.org never required more than an additional linkedin page and our existing website with contact info as all info also in different languages (thai & tagalog translations supported by our team btw) are already on dash.org. Also our integrations, partnerships etc. are already listed on Dash.org ...
But please let us know why and where do you see need to improve our website or have a full on website in addition to the already existing dash.org.

Regarding facebook: Believe us no one of our team members is a facebook fan. But unfortunately facebook is important to reach new people and get them into the Dash network. Especially in Thailand and the Philippines two of our main countries where Dash Next managed a very successful market entry for Dash facebook is still the number one social media. But we are also here happy to hear your recommendations to improve.

You don't need to post facebook links to share simple images. At least fix that part.

If you are part of Dash core I'm confused as why this is not more obvious or why we pay Dash core then..
