Proposal description

pshenmic.dev DFO Operations April 2026

Updated on 12 March 2026

This is funding proposal for Dash Platform Wallet Chrome Extension April 2026 .

Progress

Dash Platform Extension

We just had a small release came out few days ago, it introduces two
little but useful features that was missing from the extension:
  • Remove wallet from extension
  • Set wallet label
  • Improved error handling on Transaction Approval
We also fixed some small  bugs we found after the previous release.

The new version already available in the Web Store, for users that already
installed the extension it should been already automatically updated.

Dash Platform SDK v1.3 (stable)

We had a lot of updates in the SDKs, we gradually improved the developer
experience and New stable release of Dash Platform SDK was released, it
contains a lot of fixes and improvements, introduces better cross-environment
support, and of course Dash Platform v3.0 support.

The most of the features have been already available in development v1.3 branch
for a quite while as dev version, recently, it was pushed to stable.

Dash Platform SDK v1.4 (dev)

The next major SDK version brings a very big architectural update: we have been
successfully migrated from wasm-bindgen to napi.rs that significantly improved
performance (up to 5x) in Node.js applications and whats more importantly,
introduces React Native support.

Release is in alpha testing stage now, but it has been already integrated it in the testnet
Platform Explorer API, and it works pretty great, after we fixed couple errors we found
in production. It improves overall backend performance in the Platform Explorer (SDK
is massively used there).

This version is still in development and testing, and after we ensure the stability of the
package we will release the first stable version.

Dash UI Kit

React Native support is coming to the UI Kit as well, we have added first React Native
components into the library, that now can be used in cross-platform mobile applications
built on Expo / RN.

These components are now available for React Native applications:
  • Avatar, Badge, BigNumber, Button, CopyButton
  • DashLogo, Heading, Icons, Identifier, Input
  • NotActive, Tabs, Text, TransactionStatusIcon, ValueCard

There were couple of other small fixes and improvements in the library for a better
compatibility between projects.

Plan

In the next month we would like to deliver Platform Addresses support in the extension.
it will unlock the possibility to integrate new Medusa addresses to be integrated as soon
as it hits the testnet (as I heard approximately the end of the March).

We will create new design mockups for the addresses, and implement it in the extension
codebase.

Budget

Frontend (120 DASH)
Backend (40 DASH)
Design (30 DASH)
