I voted YES and hope to be chosen as one of the 2-5 LP's - also UdjmiM6 created some kind of 'fix' to sway the crowd and Evan : https://github.com/dashpay/dash/pull/623

I was chosen but I cannot view the discussion on dt.org. I feel like I'm missing out on info.

They already chose people?? - I'm crushed :-(
I even got my name in within 10-20 minutes - ugh - guess I know where I stand around here...

We just chose random people to be fair. There were 20+ people that wanted the job :)

I just wanted one of the positions - due to MN keeps crashing - missed 3-4 payouts so far - don't really want to go 2-3 months with a crashed MN every 2-4 days.... just say'n - of which I did inform both you and Ghost of my request and situation.... again - just say'n...

I PM'd Evan about a minute after the BT post and luckily got in. If they went by response speed, it looks fair to me.

So what is liquidity provider exactly? What do they do? Is this for exchanges or something? I am confused...?

No, they lauch a wallet and mix coin (darksend) 24h/24h.
This is to help improoving speed of anonymazing DASH.
Some said in dashtalk that they don't agree including UdjmiM6. Will try to find the thread later and post to you the discution.
I think that he convince me and this will be the only project this month to have my NO.

I'll vote yes. It's a temporary solution, but should speed up mixing. It should not compromise too much the anonymity. Livenet mixing is so slow, that's almost unuseable. Maybe, if there is some basal mixing going on, more people will do real mixing, because it works in reasonable time.

The whole mixing solution is not optimal. If there would be real use by thousands of users, we would suffer from large blockchain bloat. I hope Evan, will replace the coin mixing with a more sophisticated privacy solution in the future. Although i suppose, this new privacy solution will be more demanding than x11, instantx, masternodes & budget alltogether :)

UdjinM6 later changed his mind - an update to the code prevents Liquidity Providers from mixing with each other: https://github.com/dashpay/dash/pull/623. This was the primary concern which seems to be resolved now

I voted yes after UdjinM6 made the necessary adjustment to have the Liquidity Providers proposal work without bloating the blockchain. After which Evan decided to go ahead with this proposal.
