One area I would like to see is that MN hosting companies could be vetted to ensure they are reputable. I posted a thread on the DASH forum explaining the possible security vulnerability if a MN hosting company offers an ultra competitive hosting package MNOs are likely to move to that host due to market forces. This means a high level of trust would be placed on the MN hosting company to be undertaking the necessary security to ensure the integrity of the MN network. Here is the thread on this issue:

https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/possible-security-threat-to-the-dash-masternode-network.47513/#post-215624

I would also like to highlight to my fellow MN owners. The DashWatch service not only provides the reports and vetting we need on the projects but DW also undertake essential security and background checks for the Trust Protectors and the Investors trust directors. Without these background checks how could we be confident that the people representing DASH are who they say they are. DW has also built up expertise in doing these background checks and they are getting more sophisticated. This knowledge is valuable intellectual property that is not easy to find anywhere else.

In order for us to maintain and keep the service from DW, with all the expertise they have developed over the years, it is essential that their proposals are voted in each month. Some of the team members on DW rely exclusively on the funds from the network therefore if they don't receive a payment this puts a strain on those members that are relying on these funds. Its a bit akin to not knowing if you will receiving your salary or not.

The DW service has proven itself over time to be reliable, honest and a trustworthy service in a service that is considerably more difficult to run that we might first imagine. It is not just about collecting data it is also about presenting that data in an unbiased manner.

The DW service helps to keep the project owners accountable and to ensure that we can make informed decisions. I do not see this as an optional service. It is something we need and therefore need to vote in consistently each month to ensure the the DW members feel a level of certainty a job security that they can pay their bills each month with a steady salary. Something, I'm sure that all of us appreciate is important.

We deeply appreciate the recognition of our hard work, talent and knowledge of the space.

Re: MNO Hosting companies vetting - with the treasury budget being so tight, we got feedback from the MNO community that they did not want Dash Watch to expand it's scope greatly beyond proposal reports. If we have additional resources or time during the month we may try initial phases of this scope, but we cannot make any guarantees at this point in time.

Get this funded. Dash needs this tool to inject more information and accountability into the treasury process. There was a decent sized block of votes that switched from YES to NO last month (right at the end), throwing them into unfunded territory. I would suggest that we get them enough YES votes that last minute vote shuffling does not put DashWatch into unfunded territory again.
