Could be useful for consumer adoption of our product if Nepsium can integrate Zimbabwe, Sudan, South Sudan.

https://tradingeconomics.com/country-list/inflation-rate --> Africa has #2 (Zimbabwe), #4 (Sudan), #5 (South Sudan) on the global inflation ranking list

and then #7 is Liberia, #9 is ethiopia, #10 is angola. So 6 countries in the top 10. (Note: North Korea is listed as #3 on the link, but it shouldn't count imo because the stats for it are 6 years old)

Ok, there is really now no excuse not to fund this team. They've proven themselves and delivered what they said they were going to deliver. We have THE FIRST fiat to crypto gateway in Africa. Come on guys, this is a no-brainer. These guys need funding and we have the treasury to do it. They are asking for a mere FRACTION of teams like Dash News and George Donnelly's proposal in LatAM. 344 Dash even though adoption in Venezuela has slowed dramatically.

This team is only asking for 50 Dash and they've been producing work for months now. It goes without saying that we need to fund adoption, this is what the treasury is for. This is the purpose of our DAO, we shouldn't try to low-ball teams, or 'make them beg' for funding, THIS IS OUR JOB. This is the purpose of the DAO and the masternodes. We must vote YES for proposals that seek to spread adoption and grow Dash.

Nathaniel and Dash Nepsium have proven repeatedly to do just that, and we owe them our full support. So join me in voting YES for Dash Nepsium. Let's get out there and win this competition!

Nepsium has been built, let's launch it

Dear MNOs,

We were asked to go build Nepsium, come up with an MVP, before we will be funded. And guess what? We not only built an MVP but now have the platform live!

Nepsium will be the primary gateway, fiat-Dash on/off ramp in Africa, and will also be integrated into the existing Dash mobile wallets similarly to uphold to allow people easily buy/sell Dash from the wallet.

Kindly vote our current proposal to fund us so we can launch.

Have a look at the Nepsium platform here

Without any funding received thus far, we have built an MVP. You can create an account on staging.nepsium.com, Dash deposits and withdrawals will be activated soon.

We have also secured a partnership with a fiat payment gateway, Flutterwave, to automatically process fiat payments and pay directly into the merchants bank account.

Nepsium will allow merchants accept Dash and liquidate easily. It'll also target merchants receiving international payments, and allow them use Dash as a default currency.

Looking forward to your support to making this project successful.

This is another easy yes for me. Just like the Dash Nigeria proposal, Dash Nepsium is working hard to fill a niche that we as a growing network are still direly in need of having filled. Fiat to Dash gateways are very hard to come across. Indeed from the recent news with Charlie Lee and coinbase, its clear that there is a concerted effort to keep Dash from having as many fiat onramps as possible. All of the troll activity and fud spreading we've seen seems to have this effect as an end goal.

Attack proposal owners like Eugenia and Nathaniel with lies and slander. That way they will retard their growth and slow our adoption. This is most likely taking place because Dash has continued to EMBARASS the rest of the cryptocurrency community with its no nonsense focus on mass adoption, usability and customer service. This trend CONTINUES manifold with the Dash Nepsium project and team.

This proposal also has the support of the DCG head of mobile development (see his comment below). Which means that this proposal should be an easy yes for everyone else on the network as well. There may be some stress or 'unease' with this being a proposal in a third world country. But that is quickly dealt with when the stress in our WALLETS is relieved thanks to increased adoption that this proposal and team will bring to our network.

The first Fiat to Dash gateway in Africa? Developers willing and able to build additional functionality to the core wallet? Uphold.com like integration but in countries that Uphold doesn't operate in? Guys this is a very, very big proposal that has the potential to give Dash a significant share of the cryptogrowth market. NO OTHER COIN IS DOING THIS. No other coin can afford to do this. Vote 'Yes!' for the Nepsium Dash payment gateway so we can become the #1 payments cryptocurrency not just in the west, not just in Latin America, not just in Africa BUT IN ALL THE WORLD!

7 reasons to fund Nepsium

1. Enable buy/sell Dash integration into the existing Dash mobile wallets similarly to uphold to allow people in Africa easily buy Dash from the wallet. We are working with Dash Core to get this done.

2. A one-stop solution for merchants to receive, store and liquidate their crypto.

3. First Dash/fiat plugin for merchants to integrate to their websites.

4. We'll be turning a new line of people into Dash as well as make the process of getting Dash seamless for existing Dash users.

5. We're offering a 10% equity to the DAO for 50 Dash/ 3 months.

6. Development has been on for over a month and you can see the website here https://staging.nepsium.com

7. This is going to be the first technical product in Dash to go live covering the African region.

1.c) does Nepsium currently sell Dash to any countries in Africa?

Not yet. That begins at launch. Our MVP is almost ready though.

1. a) which of the countries in Africa will be able to buy from the mobile wallet?
b) which of Dash mobile wallets? or was that a typo, and this is just for the Hash Engineering mobile wallet?
Reply
5 points,4 years ago
1. At launch: Nigeria, later to add support for Ghana and other West African Countries.

b. Yes, Nepsium will be integrated into the existing Dash mobile wallets (android & ios) similarly to uphold to allow people easily buy Dash from the wallet.

Thanks. Other question: would you mind to compare the pros and cons of consumers purchasing Dash in the android and ios wallet VS. purchasing from stores carrying Yellowcard Dash giftcards?
Reply
5 points,4 years ago
Different strategies to reach different folks all to get them to adopt Dash.

When you purchase the Yellowcard Dash voucher, the value is stable until redeemed for Dash.

Nepsium will work similarly to uphold to allow people easily buy/sell Dash from the wallet.

Dear MNOs,

For just 0.8% of the budget this month, we are building a very crucial infrastructure neccessary for Dash adoption - a Dash Payment Gateway.

We will also integrate Nepsium into the existing Dash mobile wallets similarly to uphold to allow people easily buy Dash in West Africa.

We are doing this at a ridiculously low cost compared to other proposals on technical development. Nepsium is currently being built without a penny from the DAO and we have released some of the designs publicly. Currently, over $10,000 have been invested building Nepsium for Dash. Our request of $20,000 alone cannot build the product from scratch to finish. It takes guts to start funding the building of a product for the Dash network, without any funding received thus far.

If this proposal doesn't pass, it will be sending a message across that such efforts aren't welcome in the DAO. And it will be frustrating to the team.

We have issues of merchants having no single place to access the Dash ecosystem, having to install multiple apps just to accept Dash. Nepsium will solve this.

Nepsium will be self-sustaining and some of the profits will go towards promoting the adoption and use of Dash in Nigeria.

We are available to answer questions.

Thanks. Nepsium Team

Fraud is going too far but otherwise Realmrhack is right. The integrations that have come out of this are not good and are producing basically zero transactions, not producing much fruit for Dash. It might not be their fault. Maybe there just aren't any good bizdev opportunities in the region. Either way we shouldn't keep funding it just because we've been doing it. If this was a brand new proposal from a new team would you vote for it?

Nepsium is not a good name either, it sounds like something you need to ask your doctor about if it's right for you. Just watch out for the side effects, namely impaired judgment. If it lasts more than 4 hours you should probably vote no.

Hi DashUnicorn, thanks for your comment.

Nepsium is a stand alone project. It is entitely different from Dash Nigeria.

At Dash Nigeria, we've not achieved 100% success with biz dev integrations as it's an aspect of our proposal not fully under our powers. We have to partner with other conpanies to make this work, this is quite difficult in our region. As it stands, we recently switched strategy from focusing solely on local companies to also partnering with international companies, and helping them get the African market.

Some of these are:
1. Coincola
2. Shortex.net
3. 4 platforms under Ferrum Network

Some of our successful integrations are
Gigalayer.com
Kurepay.com
Bitfxt.com
Yellowcard.io
Kurecoinhub.com

Nepsium is going to be an infrastructure to strengthen the efforts of Dash Nigeria and other teams. This is as there's no Dash-fiat payment gateway in the region, West Africa, and this has made our work more difficult. For instance, merchants need to install 3 different apps to accept Dash (Anypay, Dash wallet, kurepay), to accept, to store, to trade Dash. This is quite bulky.

Nepsium will allow merchants and individuals to:
Create invoices
Accept payments
Liquidate

Nepsium will also be integrated into the existing Dash mobile wallets similarly to Uphold to allow buy/sell of Dash via the Dash wallets.

Nepsium is a unique name we adopted after some research. It also had no similarity with existing products/ platforms.

P.S. Development has been ongoing for over a month and soon releases will be pushed live on the website nepsium.com

The Kickstarting of the project was made possible by financial contribution from one of our partners.

Dash Nigeria is involved in: Attending and speaking at industry events, educational content production, wallets opening, merchants, help/ support line, general promotion of Dash in Nigeria, not just biz dev.

Fellow MNO take into context that this proposal requests 150 dash to complete the above-mentioned proposal.

Dash nigeria bizdev team already gets roughly 100 dash a month already for 12 months or more and they havent accomplished this.

Its tell tale signs of chasing timid projects

Please I urge you to consider this and vote accordingly

Dash will need to invest in infrastructure, utility and adoption simultaneously to achieve its goal of becoming a daily use money.

The Dash Nigeria team continues to have great successes despite being one of the consistently lowest funded consistent adoption teams in the DAO.

Nepsium will be a stand-alone project which in addition will aid the adoption efforts of Dash Nigeria greatly.

Both projects together request less than what other prominent teams request per month.

IMO this “only one project per person” attitude poses a big hinderance in the way of an effective proposal market.

Thanks.

No for the region your in your asking for alot of funds and with those said funds this nepsium could have been accomplished and would have been thr silver lining to your proposals

But ur in this for the money and not really the dao or dash as evidenced by your past activities like creating place holder integerations or just fluff integerations which bring no value!!

2 integerations a month for 99 dash per month!!

Better off u taking 50 dash and delivering a singlw nepsium

While I was originally very doubtful about the ability of the original proposal to succeed, there is something in this redesigned proposal that can not be faked and will be extremely tangible. It's pretty binary, either they submit a pull request for buying/selling Dash in Nigeria (and the region) into the iOS/Android wallet or they don't. While you can doubt meetups and gatherings are really drawing people this really can't be faked.

Nepsium is uniquely different from the activities of Dash Nigeria. This is as anyone can easily review the codes/ implementations.

The success of Nepsium can easily be measured also.

We're looking forward to making Nepsium a reality.

Thanks for your support.

Quantum, my point is that he asks for double that value per month as per dash nigeria biz dev.

He only delivers 'two' integerations per months and if you look at the integerations you will probably laugh.

If instead he used those funds to deliver nepsium it would be an easier proposal to support

Considering that hasnt transpired and that he clearly delivers weak or no integerations

I would say its fair to say this is one of those situations (nigeria prince scam ) ( emergency medical relative scam )

The blood is in the water.most of you smell it however cant pinpoint it without any data to point you in that direction

Dear MNOs,

The Dash Nigeria Team has suffered constant namecalling, SAF, mudslinging, bias and hate from MrHack in the last 1 year.

We consider being called a 'scam' an insult. The Dash Nigeria and Nepsium teams are made up of some of the finest quality of talents in the Fintech/ Blockchain space, carefully selected from within and outside the country.

We deliver integrations and partnerships monthly: some of these are:
Gigalayer.com
Kurepay.com
Yellowcard.io
Kurecoinhub.com

Partnership with:
Coincola

Underway:
Shortex.net (Exchange and POS)
MOU signed with Ferrum Network to integrate Dash on 4 their platforms.
Current discussion on a partnership with Transsion, parent company of ITEL, Infinix and Tecno phones. (Owns the largest share market of phones in Nigeria)

As it stands, our team has delivered some of the best educational materials on Dash till Date:
dashafrica.org/courses/dash-cryptocurrency/
Learn with Dash: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3vgzw56aHfa15tOVJrK4fV4DZxpOpCLD

We've been promoting Dash adoption in Nigeria for the last 2 years, not so much projects have been around for that long.

Also, we are one of the lowest funded adoption teams in Dash currently.

It will be unfair to say we have not delivered appropriately on our goals.

Wallets openings
Speaking at events
Biz Dev
Merchants
Partnerships
Educational content creation (Videos & text)
PR
Support/ helpline
General promotion of Dash in Nigeria

Your statements are inaccurate, there is several teams requirig less funds to do more, such as dash taxi and few others.

Playing the sympathy card over two years of funding and barely scratched the surface.

Perhaps we should gather the data of everyy duff dash nigeria has received

To really notice and realize we have poured a lot of dash down the drain on dash nigeria.

Enough is enough!
Reply
3 points,4 years ago
We have not received "over 2 years of funding", we have been operational for that time and have been funded for less than half of it. We are responsible for the height Dash has reached in Nigeria.

Our budget remain one of the cheapest. We're asking for 150 Dash to deliver a major infrastructure lacking for Dash adoption in Nigeria. Nepsium will also enable people buy/sell Dash via the Dash mobile wallets similarly to uphold. Decide if it's worth it.

We'll encourage MNOs to go through our proposal, previous accomplishments and decide if to fund us or not. Thanks.

I'm not sure i like the idea of using a third party utility plugin for DCG wallets, as that could open up an attack vector. After what happened with MyDashWallet.org i prefer to keep the DCG wallets as is, fully open-sourced and fully supported by DCG. I'm not even sure that third party plugin will be open sourced.

Why not wait till Dash Evolution comes out later this year and create some kind of dApp for Nepsium ?
Reply

I am head of mobile team for DCG, and built the majority of the current iOS wallet. I would like to confirm that I talked to the Nepsium team and I suggested that they take this path forward as it's the quickest way to give users access to buying/selling Dash in Nigeria compared to the previous approach that I thought was not feasible in the time frame. Fiat on/off ramps were and to an extent still are part of our strategy for 2019, however we don't have the resources in Core to develop all these integrations. Any development submitted by a third party developer will be thoroughly reviewed and will be always be required to be fully open source. We will only merge it if it respects a user experience and quality guidelines supplied by DCG. I would also like to say that because of the way we architectured Android and iOS, any buy/sell integration would live on an outer core of the wallet, not in the same library where keys are stored, while this architecture doesn't completely protect the wallets, it makes spotting an attack a lot easier.

In the end I would like to say what happened with MyDashWallet.org is a travesty, but we take steps in Core to make sure it could never happen to our wallets. We are very thorough when we release as to make sure all attack vectors are squashed. For example we version external 3rd party dependencies and only take extremely reputable ones to begin with.

Thank you for your informative reply, it takes away the concern i have about using third party plugins. As long as these plugins are fully open source and are getting thoroughly reviewed by DCG
and the buy/sell integration gets limited to the outer core of the wallet, i have less of a problem with it.
Reply
4 points,4 years ago
Hi, DCG is moving in the direction of opening the Dash ecosystem for third party integrations, which is desirable, if not necessary to raise the chances of success for Dash.

Our offering will of course be evolution enabled after release.

The Nepsium plugin will enable buy/sell of Dash via the Dash mobile wallets, similar to the Uphold integration.

Nepsium is perfectly aligned with the broader strategy the Dash ecosystem has been following for quite some time (user experience and low friction).

Thanks. Nepsium Team

There has been accusations, but these are not based on truth as this is a completely new project and we are not copying any functionality of the project in question. This application (where Nepsium fills) also does not exist.
