We need to see more use cases where our product holds a competitive advantage over the Naira. Maybe it will be cross-border payments (competing with Swift int'l wire transfers), and perhaps remittances into Nigeria

Yes. That's what we're set out to do. Thanks for your support.

This is a proposal that badly needs to be funded. The Dash network cannot afford to spite the teams that are working to grow our adoption.

With the recent revelation that the user henrygeorgist is a member of the monero community (check his reddit profit https://www.reddit.com/user/henrygeorgist) who lies about Dash on reddit while pretending to be a good, upstanding member of the community here. He **is a verified MNO**. Which means I was correct, we have a group of malicious masternodes that are desperately trying to defund and cynically attack proposals that will grant us adoption all over the globe.

Dash Nigeria is only second to Dash Venezuela in the amount of deliverables that they have brought to the network, so clearly, voting against their proposal is a bad move that is not in our best interests. The Monero community is obsessed with seeing us fail and they have sworn to never again allow our marketcaps to surpass theirs. So they spend **all their time** lying about us on reddit. Meanwhile if you go to their own subreddit, you won't see any of the venom they spew elsewhere. It is the same thing we see when Dash Venezuela's lead team was character-assassinated and taken over by 'new management'. We have to fight these guys. They don't want us to succeed and become digital cash for the globe. Let's show them that we mean business by voting YES for Dash Nigeria!

Dash has 4times the transactions that Monero has.
In about a years time, we will have 10times the transactions Monero has.
Within three years we will have 100times more transactions than Monero.
No need to hate on such Monero trolls like henrygeorgist, those poor cunts are envious & desperate !
All they should get from us is not hate, but pity!

You are right, this proposal deserves more upvotes.
Hopefully it gets funded

Have a feel of people paying with Dash for their cinema tickets. This further proves the point of Anypay that over $10,000 worth of Dash was transacted last month from Nigeria.

Update:

Dash Accepted at Mainstream Cinema Industry in Nigeria

Dash is now accepted and used by mainstream brands in Nigeria's Cinema Industry. We've partnered with Lighthouse Cinemas, Yaba, Lagos, http://imgur.com/a/CeyZNnc to have people #PaywithDash at a discount to purchase movie tickets.

The Cinema also gave us the opportunity to show a Dash video & give a short talk before the movies begin.

The movie, Hustlers http://imgur.com/a/KqgDbhj premieres tomorrow and will be accessible to watch by Dash users at a discount.

Cinemas are mostly patronised by the rich & middle class in Nigeria, and this is a cost effective means of reaching them with our message at Dash.

We'll be having a pilot tomorrow and if successful, we'll make it frequent.

You're in building a Dashy Nigeria...

Dear MNOs, please vote - our proposal is almost passing, and voting deadline is in 3 hours. This proposal is crucial to our work in Nigeria.

Also, kindly give us your feedback if you've voted "No" or "Abstain".

Looking forward to keep promoting Dash in Nigeria by this proposal passing. Thanks.

Come on guys, lets get our Nigerian group a boost! They've suffered so much through this tight budget situation long enough! Like Nathaniel says, check out their Dash Watch reports, they've been doing such good work! Thanks!

We implore MNOs to go through our proposal and Dash Watch reports, and vote to fund us. We are currently operational though defunded and will not be able to continue operations for another month without being funded. We have to pay our team, contractors, office space, etc.

Also, we have been billed to present Keynote speeches at some upcoming events in August and September. Your votes will help us fulfill our obligations of representing Dash at those events.

Not forgetting the partnerships & MoUs recently concluded as outlined in our DW reports. We have our roles to play and we cannot afford to have our partners in the dark when we should both be promoting Dash.

We're also available for any questions.

Thanks.

We have made good experience in working with Nathaniel and his team whenever we forwarded leads such as payment solutions and exchanges. We know they are working hard on these projects and it would be a shame to see them becoming defunded.

Thanks for your support and endorsement.

We're currently not funded, and if this proposal doesn't pass, that might be the end of the operations of Dash Nigeria unfortunately. We however do not want this to happen as we are the only Dash group operating in Africa at the moment. Why should an entire continent be defunded?

This proposal is a real head-scratcher for me. I see the MOUs, the 200+ merchants added (132 displayed on discoverdash.com), the exchange integrations, the viral content, the dedicated team with developers and quality websites, the quality video productions and then the *NO* votes/lack of support. Its clear from DashWatch that Dash Nigeria has been fulfilling their end of the bargain. The ask is perfectly priced, fair and not outsized for the work they're accomplishing. In fact, I'd say they are doing a lot with very little.

Which is where my confusion comes from. This is clearly a team that is working day and night to spread Dash adoption in Nigeria and surrounding environs, and they have certainly produced results, clearly. So why are there so many troll comments on their proposals? Why the defunding and lack of support?

Integrations, transactions, viral campaigns, this is what we expect our Decentralized autonomous organizations to do don't come free. NO OTHER COIN has the same capabilities that we have, and Dash Nigeria is perhaps, besides KuvaCash and DCG, one of the best examples of what our decentralized funding model can accomplish.

We just have to support them with our Yes votes. That's all we have to do. Click a button. There is literally no good reason to not fund these hardworking young people. There seems to be those who wish to sabotage our growth and change the narrative. This is because Dash has EMBARASSED the rest of the cryptocurrency community. BCH, BTC, XMR, PIVX all of them talk a big game but when it comes to adoption, speed at the PoS, innovation, testing, live upgrades and more essential blockchain characteristics, they all eventually come up short. NOT DASH.

Our job as MNOs, therefore, is to vet projects and make sure they are working for Dash adoption. This way, we can spread these advantages to those who really need them. No more fake cryptocurrency wars, just REAL ADOPTION. Nathaniel and the Dash Nigeria team have clearly shown to be doing just that. Every day it seems, there's more and more integrations, more and more partnerships and viral content. We can't afford to allow the other communities to gain on us here. We have the unique opportunity to self fund our growth and become the number one cryptocurrency in the space.

Indeed, just by stores accepting Dash alone, WE ARE ALREADY NUMBER ONE. That was spearheaded by Dash Venezuela and they have spawned many copy cat communities. This is exactly the kind of thing that leads to a large network effect and that will cause Dash to rise above the competition and succeed where others are dithering. A Yes vote for Dash Nigeria is a YES VOTE FOR DASH!

Let's get out there and win this thing.

a) how is purchasing of some Dash by consumers in Nigeria going?
b) what marketing messages are being utilized to try and persuade consumers in Nigeria to purchase some Dash?
Reply
3 points,4 years ago
a) Going well. Lot's of people saving in Dash so as to retain their purchasing power and possibly make profits over time.

b) Obviously showing them the difference between Dash and fiat. Focus is on international trade payments. Currently in talks with mycashestate.com, to accept Dash so people could pay with Dash. They are a US based company that allows Africans invest in realestate in the US. This will give lead to lots of value being transferred via Dash. We can't wait to make this work.

225 Total Merchants Integrated for Proposal Duration 70 Total Merchants Integrated Newly for This Month 0 [1] Note: The proposal owner indicated that his team integrated 70 new merchants over the course of the proposal and submitted them to DiscoverDash for verification. However, DiscoverDash noted that it is proving difficult to verify the merchants in Nigeria because many of them do not have a presence on Social Media or an email address. Therefore, to ensure the quality of their listings, DiscoverDash is currently working with a recently recruited Dash Force writer w
