Welcome!

This proposal covers a three-month period from July to September 2025 and includes:
   1. Coverage of VPS server rental costs for hosting RPC nodes used by the Dash Masternode Tool program (two production servers and one for development)
   2. Coverage of work costs for 3 full days per month, allocated to: infrastructure work, application user support, and implementation of the most essential development work to ensure proper application functionality in the face of a changing environment (Dash protocol and operating system changes). At this stage, documentation updates and wallet functionality improvements are also planned – the latter being quite important given Trezor's announced discontinuation of Dash support within Trezor Suite.

The Dash Masternode Tool (DMT) is a desktop application designed to support Dash Masternode operations, including:
   • Starting a Masternode when collateral is held on a hardware wallet
   • Updating Masternode information on the Dash network (IP address, payout address, voting key, operator key, etc.)
   • Facilitating withdrawal of Masternode earnings from hardware wallets (as some hardware wallet providers don't support spending Dash coinbase transactions)
   • Streamlining proposal voting through a dedicated user interface

RPC Nodes
RPC nodes are servers running the Dash daemon that enable DMT client instances to communicate with the Dash network. For reliability, two servers are deployed, each running dashd instances for both mainnet and testnet. The servers maintain spare capacity to accommodate a third development instance when needed. While DMT allows users to configure their own RPC nodes, many prefer using the maintained 24/7 servers for convenience.
