Proposal description

This proposal is put forth by the Dash Marketing Hub, an official fork of the Dash Incubator, focused on grassroots marketing and promotion of Dash, and on community energizing/engagement.This proposal is for the creation of a separate fund exclusively to pay affiliate marketers to promote Dash purchases on marque cryptocurrency exchange-affiliate programs.

Affiliate marketing is a highly effective marketing process that incentivizes large, existing groups of marketers to promote Dash. The primary appeal of affiliate marketing is that payments are made to marketers based on their results – the number of people who make a purchase of Dash. This means by running an affiliate marketing campaign we will be paying directly for buy pressure in the network. If Dash hopes to succeed we need more people promoting the benefits of Dash in their own unique context, leading to more dash holders.

Dash Core Group is running on an extremely limited budget and does not have the capacity for sufficient business development activity at the moment. We believe that a simple bounty system can maximize our capacity here without the funding requirements of additional full- or part-time employees.

We are requesting 50 Dash per month with a cap of 500 Dash total for the fund. We will only put in additional proposals if the fund drops below a 50 Dash balance.

Additionally, we encourage the creation of a Hub/Incubator fork dedicated to integration bounties and business development. If such a project is launched, we would be happy to transfer this fund’s remaining balance to the new DFO.

DO NOT take this as an excuse to raise the fee for putting in a proposal from 1 Dash to 10 DASH, That would be a terrible knee jerk reaction, frustrating as this proposal is, we should try to squeeze the positives from it as I believe the OP intended. Voters need to be more involved, thats why I've created DAOwatch.blog to discuss proposals and increase engagement, feel free to share my videos, comment, like and subscribe. Thanks for your time ;)

The proposal is not frustrating. The proposal is troll, or even fun.

Fustrating are the DCG coders or the Dashcentral.org coders, who didnt code a filter system and a tag system, so that troll or fun proposals to be able to disappear from the view of those who dont like them.

I don't think anyone is thinking like that, dropping the proposal fee was a massive step forward is democratising Dash and opening the ears of the MNOs.
Reply

glad to hear it! I just worry as Ive seen this happen in other DAOs (evmos) where they knee jerked and raised the proposal fee, and subsequently now they havent had any proposals for months. no new ideas, no new people.

Warning! This appears to be an impersonator!
This PO has never before posted a proposal.
https://mnowatch.org/proposalowners/?po=the_dessert_lynx

The real desert lynx has posted several.
https://mnowatch.org/proposalowners/?po=the_desert_lynx

Note the spelling of the name, the double s, Joel does not spell his name with two s's because he is not a lemony snicket, but rather a dry, crusty old curmudgeon who's living off of crypto and shaking his fist at the establishment.

Please note that this proposal pays to address XyphucZoDNEPYcw7mCf8F8VFuX1kugfFC8 which has no transaction history. The real desert lynx always pays out to XjRx5Xj9G4kE4gvLT6GQKmvWMrtGPtUjkS as can be gleaned from https://mnowatch.org/summary/

Also, this is the funding transaction of this proposal. https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dash/tx.dws?4ea9b33c0ed4bff376a2dbf1551d1e065b3561bdc2616633b557958ccad17768.htm The Dash for the proposal fee (1 Dash Burn) comes from XjQMjrDVzU5vC261hUH2avKbSxbvhPhzoy which is a masternode payout address. There is one masternode registered to this address, protx hash -> d2e0949bbf2ed9b057a581969cd5a6ba156dd6d4916f985e22e39d0183acba13 and collateral at -> 458828de0a425acf4482cc7eb17755977479f4e7a4af8d4d8a330af46e92a14f-1. Checking on https://mnowatch.org/Types/ this collateral belongs to a group of 2 called 'CrowHelpNext' which is an automated link done by AI running on the site. The other collateral is a88bfbcfdcc51b46511788ac14e027a77e1f7ef741871680a4433bedd9a167ff-0.

Please downvote this scam and prevent the DAO being drained of funds. Meanwhile, I thank the PO for his contribution in making Dash more scarce by provably burning 1 Dash for this fraud.

What is also interesting is looking at the current votes of this PO. Using this link https://mnowatch.org/getvotes/?collatHI=458828de0a425acf4482cc7eb17755977479f4e7a4af8d4d8a330af46e92a14f-1 we can see his votes on the current list of proposals (click the column headings to sort the table).

Proposal name Vote Signal *
DCG-SUPPLEMENTAL-JUNE-23 no funding
dash-marketing-hub-integrations-bounty no funding
dash-marketing-hub-8 no funding
Revert-CoinJoin-to-PrivateSend no funding
DCG-COMP-JUL-SEP23 no funding
DASHFTLJUL-SEP2023 no funding
dash-incubator-2023-q2 yes funding
Dash-Italia-Social-Management yes funding

and this person is voting NO on the current Dash Marketing hub proposals! I wonder who that could be? This pattern of voting is consistent, for example view this report on https://mnowatch.org/the_results_dashd_2023-03-24-01-55-24.html from March and use the browser's Find tool to search on 458828de0a425acf4482cc7eb17755977479f4e7a4af8d4d8a330af46e92a14f-1 and see how he votes. Back in Feb, https://mnowatch.org/the_results_dashd_2023-02-22-02-35-33.html it was all NOs! ->
dash-marketing-hub-7 DCG-COMP-JAN-MAR23 DCG-Infra-Feb-Mar-2023 DCG-SUPPLEMENTAL-FEB23 Marketing_for_russian_speaking_community the-dash-dao-irrevocable-trust-2023 <- What a sour puss!

Will you also thank the stupid masternodes who gave 3775 DASH ($313,830.00) ( look at https://mnowatch.org/proposalowners/?po=the_desert_lynx ) from the budget for marketing purposes, and despite this huge amount of Dash there are no social media metrics of the campaigs, so that they can judge their effectiveness?

No, you will not, because you are a paid slave , so your opinion cannot be objective.

With several minor exceptions, the testimony of a slave was not admissible except under torture. Slaves were tortured in trials because they often remained loyal to their masters.

Not a single MNO votes a delete signal for this proposal.

So maybe they are not stupid, they just like the dash budget to be spammed by pranksters.

On the other hand we can observe a strong delete signal for the proposal of DCG.

175 masternodes would like the DCG-COMP-JUL-SEP23 proposal to be deleted!

That is most likely the Russian masternode whale.

Yes, MasterBlaster is the one who cast the delete signals against DCG.

But he is not a Russion. WeeJohnny is . I used to call him "The Tsar".

But the question here is WHY THE MASTERNODES DO NOT CAST DELETE SIGNALS AGAINST THIS PRANK?

I assume either they are ignorants, or they like the prank.

Masterblaster is Russian, we made the link when he created his very own proposal.

But his fleet was never hosted in Russia, as weejhonny's fleet did.

MasterBlaster is also linked to Russia -->

'On the 1st of December this whale created the Dash RU Marketing proposal and paid for it from inputs that can be traced back to this fleet of masternodes.'

If both MasterBlaster (97 masternodes) and weejohnny (229 masternodes) are linked to Russia, we have a much bigger problem as together they then have 326 masternodes.

So your worry is this nice prankster, and ΝΟΤ the stupid MNOs who vote yes/no instead of delete/valid In this proposal/

So your worry is this nice prankster, the proposal owner that the prankster targets who got 3775 DASH ($313,830.00) and he cannot prove whether this investment was worthwhile?

The spam problem can be easily solved if the ugly whore named DCG allows us to vote to the proposals by using tags. That way we could all tag this proposal as "prankster" and everything will be fine.

The spam problem can be easily solved if the ugly whore named DCG allows us to apply filter to the proposals, so that those who detest pranks (I tend to like them in general) could filter the tagged as prank proposals.

Pls refrain from using profanity in your comments.

That is the one thing that could actually get you kicked out of Dash Central by rango (happened before).
Reply
-1 point,10 months ago
I think was kicked out because of FUD.

The FUD was that 3 days before the deadline the masternodes were 50-50 in terms of upgrading . This FUD was not so serious for the dashtalk censors.

The serious FUD is that the network turned from 50-50 to 15-85 in a few minutes.

The censors of Dashtalk didnt want this extreme centralization to be communicated to the masternodes, thats why they banned me from dashtalk.

No. I am talking about a MNO in the early years of Dash, who was very anti-Dash / anti-DCG and also (like you) used profanity in his comments to both attack Dash and DCG. In the end he was forced by rango to disband his masternodes from Dash Central and his Dash Central account was removed.

The reason for that removal that rango provided to us : due to excessive usage of profanity (something along that line).

The critical mistake this impersonator made, is that he published the description of his proposal here in dashcentral.org.

If he had posted his proposal in another url he controls, and especially if that url allowed comments along with the necessary censoring of those are trying to warn, he probably would have fooled even more people.

By the way they do the same in dashtalk.org.
Am I wrong agnewpickens?

Yes this is not a real proposal. It is designed to make MNOs think more before voting. The DMH proposals need more scrutiny. I wanted to see how many people would vote for a proposal that had zero thoughtful work put into it. Sadly, the results were not surprising.

My hope hope going forward is that MNOs will be more discerning and ask what am I getting for this proposal or is it just a bunch of nice words from a name I recognize.

the_dessert_link is a fitting name. He feeds so nicely off the dash MNOs.

Thanks for confirming what I always say.

That the average MNO has very low IQ.

The Masternodes are incapable to govenrn, so the voting rights should be given to all the Dash community members.
Reply
0 points,10 months ago
The community must think about it a little bit.

Who is the worst?

The one who spend one dash in order to impersonate another community member?

Or the community member that got 3775 DASH ($313,830.00) ( look at https://mnowatch.org/proposalowners/?po=the_desert_lynx ) from the budget for marketing purposes, and despite this huge amount of Dash there are no social media metrics of his campaigs, so that we can judge their effectiveness.

Anyway, all this marketing stuff is bullshit. Only the proof of Personhood stands, so please vote : https://www.dashcentral.org/p/encointerUBI-Range-0-242-Digit3
Reply
0 points,10 months ago
You still owe us an explanation, how the proof of personhood done by anyone is going to benefit or help Dash.
Somebody proving to just exist won´t help Dash.

Perhaps it should be a proof of usefulness to Dash.
Either proof of investing money in Dash or at least proof of (constantly) using Dash.
People who fail on either are WORTHLESS to our cause, and don´t deserve to be subsidized in any way.

In regard to investing, consider that 10,000 people who invest on average $2,
are much less worth in terms of price performance impact, than a single individual investing $200k.

And with usage of Dash its very similar.
10,000 people who make on average a single Dash transaction per month,
are much less worth in terms of usage they bring to the table, than a 100 people who regularly make 300 Dash transactions per month (10 transactions per day).

I appreciate your idea of basically paying people to use Dash.
But i am not sure whether it could be sustainable and affordable. Our budget is in distress.
First of all, they would not have to be overpaid all of a sudden, but just by slow slow dripping.
And whenever they cease using Dash, the dripping would need to stop all of a sudden.

It would have to be a Faucet-like encouragement, and nothing more .. because: we can't afford anything else.
By throwing money around like insane to people who don´t deserve to receive it, we would just go broke rapidly.

We MAY give a monthly income (depends on a monthly vote and on participation to the vote), to PROVEN INDIVIDUALS of Encointer community that reside in SWITZERLAND (one of the most wealthy places on earth).

And we are going to give them an amount from zero to 242 Dash.

Is the above relevant to your absurd arguments?
Reply
1 point,10 months ago
Why don´t you explain, what will we get in return for every single Dash we spend on some unknown strangers from rich switzerland?

Probably not even gratefulness, right?
Reply
0 points,10 months ago
YOU can start an new Encointer Community in YOUR neighborhood.

That way YOU will receive the basic income YOU voted for.
Reply
2 points,10 months ago
And who the hell is going to pay my basic income? i myself?

Why would we give something for nothing to some privileged/lucky ones,
when it cannot be given to 7 billion people anyway?
If we would gift every freakin Dash that exists, evenly to everyone out there,
then everyone would receive about 0.0015 Dash and the party would be over,
and we could go and fall asleep in our drunkenness, and after waking up sober
the next morning commit suicide
Reply

>And who the hell is going to pay my basic income? i myself?

The Basic income will be paid by the Dash budget. It is not you who will pay, and of course the Dash budget does not belong to you.

>Why would we give something for nothing to some privileged/lucky ones, when it cannot be given to 7 billion people anyway?

It can be given to whoever belongs to an Encointer community. Potentially 7 billion people can belong to it, but for now on only the Swiss are smart enough to establish such a community. Its up to you to also start an Encointer community, and get the benefits for you and for your neighbors.

>If we would gift every freakin Dash that exists, evenly to everyone out there, then everyone would receive about 0.0015 Dash and the party would be over.

What are you talking about? Thats why you VOTE for a RANGE from zero to 242 Dash, and an AVERAGE RESULT is extracted, and a final YES/NO proposal WILL be added asking for the decided number. You cannot give evey freakin Dash that way!
Reply

Of course more places could be added to the Encointer community if they want to (YES YOU CAN ALSO BOOTSTRAP AN ENCOINTER COMMUNITY), but for now on we are talking ONLY FOR SWITZERLAND.
