Joel continues to deliver, his latest achievement with the DashCon2026 was brilliantly executed and valuable beyond words. Now thanks in part to him, Dash is in the spotlight and starting to get the recognition it deserves.

Hi again, would the "Yes" voting MNOs like to explain their position, especially given the considerable opposition this proposal (and the previous "Dash marketing push" proposal) has garnered? I would love to hear your rationale as to why this proposal is a good thing for Dash and why we should pass it and vote "Yes" for it.

Fantastic! Previously, this person at least posted links to his streams here, the views for which were rather low! Now he hasn’t even bothered to do that and is asking for money again. I vote against it with both hands and recommend that everyone else do the same until we get a clear explanation of where he’s spending such a huge amount of money!

Thank you for posting a sane comment. Jules below seems to be "funding this out of spite" for example, which to me is completely insane!

We don't even get a breakdown of what he's going to spend 31k on. He doesn't seem to have any specific goals or costs, he's just asking for what he thinks he can get away with.

Again, 30k a month is MORE than a full-time, full-stack developer makes (I know because that's my profession outside of this). What on EARTH does Joel do to be worth that much money?

Nobody will tell me. Joel won't respond (he blocked me on the discord and ignores my questions on his proposals) and neither with lysergic, Tantestefana, bigrcanada nor anyone whom I ask.

So that to me indicates that we, the MNOs are being disrespected by this PO. We should respond by defunding his proposal, imo.

I completely agree with you that anyone applying for a DAO budget should first and foremost respect the masternodes and provide straightforward answers to all their questions. You asked very clear and direct questions, and moreover, you indirectly accused Joel of working for competitors. This is a very serious claim, and until we hear clear answers from him to these questions, voting in favor of this proposal would be sheer madness!

It sure seems that way, however it's hard to believe they can really be as stupid as they appear, so I attribute it to corruption. My hope is to reduce the size of the corruption trough by half and give that portion to the masternodes, in hopes of attracting new investors that will participate and bring enough numbers to overpower the corrupt incumbents and bring fresh ideas to the community, all while improving Dash as a store of value. Please support my proposal and voice your support

This won't work and is unnecessary. All we have to do is defund Joel, we don't have to change the protocol at all. Also, its inappropriate for you to comment here on another proposal to proselytize for your own proposal. Only MNOs are allowed to comment cross-proposal like this and you doing so is a violation of the DAO's principles. Please return to your own proposal and address the feedback given to you by MNOs there.

What do you mean? Can you please respond to my numbered list below? Specifically, "What does Joel actually do for Dash?"

And why do you think that's worth 32k A MONTH??? That's more than a full-paid, full-stack software developer and you have a responsibility as a MNO to justify this spend.

Voting no. Succinctly:

1. What does Joel actually do for Dash? What does Joel do that we would be "remiss" without if he didn't do it?

2. What does Joel do with 530 Dash A MONTH?? 23k a MONTH for this guy and what does he bring to the table? Where is the detailed breakdown of how he uses the money? The Dash DAO shouldn't be someone's personal slush fund where they can just be like "hey I need 23k, don't ask why".

3. Why is Joel actively promoting Monero? Why is Joel "running a Monero fund"?

Monero is the ardent competition of Dash and JOEL IS SUPPORTING THEM! Why? Who asked him to do this? Why doesn't he speak about it in his proposals? This is a CONFLICT OF INTEREST and Joel should clear it up before requesting "23k a month for 4 months".

4. Joel is literally asking for ~100k and he provides no breakdown, he doesn't respond to MNO feedback or questions (several people have asked him both in discord and on his proposals for breakdowns and he doesn't reply, gets snippy and disrespectful). This is to me a form of gaslighting and attack.

5. Also, what is Joel doing with the "$200,000 he received from the Monero community?" Why doesn't he use that instead of taking more from the Dash DAO??? Why is he receiving a bribe from our competition without explaining anything to the rest of the network.

Honestly, I've said it before but just laying it out like that plainly makes it obvious to me, Joel does not work for the Dash DAO. Joel works for someone else, i.e. the person or group who "gave" him 200,000 USD. There's no such thing as "no strings attached" money, so you should be asking yourself what Joel had to agree to in order to receive those funds.

We need to have a "truth and reconciliation" because Joel is not being honest with the network. He doesn't answer feedback, like "Why did you hog Dashboost funds to get those proposals defunded?" "Why are you paying people like tantestefana and lysergic to LIE for you and 'greenlight' your proposals with NO feedback, while they ATTACK other proposals around the globle that actual do stuff?"

And "Why are you promoting and supporting our ardent competition that has lied about Dash and attacked Dash for A DECADE all over twitter, reddit and anywhere they could be heard?" Why were you "softshoeing" them and pretending like their broken privacy was superior to Dash's, when even they admit that their privacy is ineffective (hence the rush to implement FCMP++)?

Until these questions and more are answered, it is my opinion as a MNO that JOEL SHOULD NOT BE GIVEN ANY MORE MONEY. This list reads like an ATTACK you would use against a cryptocurrency that has a governance structure that YOU CAN'T COMPETE WITH, i.e. drain as much money as you can every month all year while providing NOTHING in return, so that Monero and others DON'T LOOK BAD because they can't afford to pay for developers and growth.

So its a firm NO for me for that reason and the reasons listed above.
