This proposal is for the final quarter 2025 of the Dash Growth business development and marketing initiative.

(NOTE! This proposal also includes Q1 of 2026, since the December voting cycle is notoriously sparse. We will update the proposal text in December to cover Q1 2026, and the following Q1 proposal will only be for two months)

Dash Growth consists of one full-time employee (Joël Valenzuela, myself) and several part-time contractors: Nicole Grinstead (Crypto Quorum producer and marketing consultant), Dan Sessom (video animations), Alex Rourke (video clips and social media posting), as well as other contractors as needed for one-off tasks.

Last quarter recap

We are in the final stages of our MarketAcross PR and media partnership, which has yielded many articles, podcast appearances, media hits, and more. We have a few final stories in progress, and a full list of media hits will be shared once completed. In the meantime, an incomplete list will be included at the end of the proposal.

We launched a self-custody promotion for September, encouraging users to self-custody by withdrawing from exchanges, offering various giveaways and incentives. To participate, please see our separate informative proposal.

We announced our Confidential Transactions roadmap according to the previously passed decision proposal, and this has received coverage and acclaim from from several sources.
We also presented at the Porcupine Freedom Festival (footage to come soon) and the NFTopia virtual conference. We sponsored, and will speak at, Boston Blockchain Week, which included a promotional podcast appearance. More details will be shared next month after the conference.

We partnered with Nym, the premier Edward Snowden-endorsed mixnet VPN service, which added Dash as a payment option. We held an AMA space and promotional giveaway. Maya Protocol interface LeoDEX added QR code swaps for Dash, allowing Dash to be swapped for any other asset from any wallet, which previously was a barrier as only certain wallets could interact with the protocol. We held a promotional AMA with the LeoDEX team to talk about the integration. Swap service WizardSwap integrated InstantSend for Dash. Spritz relaunched their Dash card, and we held a promotional AMA to cover the new integration. We partnered with privacy-focused multi-coin cryptocurrency wallet Unstoppable, and will be working with them moving forward on new features, co-promotions, and more.

We debuted our Key Opinion Leader strategy and have begun onboarding influencers in the cryptospace to DashPay and have them register usernames and post about them publicly. We are already working out details of various sponsored content showcasing Dash usernames, spending tools, and more.

We are now 22 episodes into the Crypto Quorum weekly space, now sponsored by Edge Wallet (which brings in exogenous revenue for marketing). It has become one of the more demanded X spaces in crypto at the moment.

Finally, we attended over 50 spaces and podcasts by Web3 Global, The Aggregated, Not Another Bitcoin Podcast, a Cointelegraph co-hosted mining roundtable, Mondays with Maya, Xcohost, Crypto Princess, CryptoCoinMindset, the, Edge Wallet's Everyday Anon promotion, BitAngels, OnlyFrens, local Vermont, USA radio show WDEV Radio, political show Are You Smarter Than a Politician, NOWPayments, and xSpaces.

What's ahead

For the rest of 2025 we will focus on wrapping up the MarketAcross media blitz, our upcoming Brave campaign, and various other pending partnerships. Beyond that, we have three big focuses:

1) Micro-KOL sponsorship and content to get as many people of any influence as possible onboarding to DashPay, using Dash as money, and making content showcasing this.

2) Onboarding promotions, contests, partnerships, and giveaways to give incentives for as many people as possible to try out and highlight Dash services such as DEXes, spending tools, onramps username registrations, privacy tools, and much more.

3) Direct user-acquisition advertising, including future Brave, X, and other ad campaigns directed purely on onboarding end users to buy, hold, and use Dash.

Now that DashSpend is live across all platforms, DashPay usernames are well-tested on Android, they are soon coming to iOS, and tokens and other features are available on user-facing apps, the mantra for the Dash community absolutely needs to be: onboard, onboard, onboard. Dash Growth, and Dash as a whole, spent the last nearly two years creating the proper infrastructure and partnerships to finally get the users we deserve. Now is the time to get them.

Ask

We are keeping our monthly ask to 530 Dash. This ask will be enough to sustain one salary even with a significant price decrease, and at current levels is able to pay for select giveaways, KOL partnerships, advertising, sponsorships, etc. We have successfully leveraged exogenous funding sources from the Crypto Quorum sponsorship (which at current prices gives us about 20 extra Dash per month to work with), and are exploring more options, such as general monetization of the X account.
