Dash Nigeria has not been funded lately, November/ December 2019. Though operating in a deficit, we'll like to continue our work for Dash this month, albeit at a reduced level, we are seeking 40 Dash/ $2,000 in order to cover absolute basics, such as the continuation of our helpline and support program for merchants and users, ongoing social media presence, office and administration expenses, industry events attendance and logistics.

Continuation of our work is crucial so we do not leave our merchants, partners and users stranded. It'll also continue our activities on a reduced scale till we get inproved funding.

We are receiving donations at the same address as our proposal here and have received less than 4 Dash in donations.

We'll be requiring a loan of $1,500 payable at our next funded proposal. Kindly send me a message via mail, discord or reddit if you'll be interested in lending us.

Thanks.

Your work is not up to the standard expected from a proposal owner. For one year of funds, you have little to show and your performance is quite poor.

I dont think you will receive treasury funds again.

1 year of funds... False.

Your comment seems spamy. Care to ask a specific question?

Despite not been funded in the last voting cycle, Dash Nigeria has continued promoting the adoption and use of Dash in Nigeria.

Our activities range from business development, consumer activation, meetups, merchants adoption, support line, events and PR. Albeit, we've currently scaled down due to lack of funding.

Here's a quick list 1 - 3 of some progress from Dash Nigeria that you could verify in one click:

1. Learn with Dash - First Dash Videos in Pidgin English https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3vgzw56aHfa15tOVJrK4fV4DZxpOpCLD (Kindly have a look at the quality of content and presentation)

2. Dash Academy - First Dash academy in text https://dashnigeria.com/academy
This has also led me to writing the first book on Dash, e-book currently available on Amazon, paperback follows soon. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Digital-Cash-Understanding-Present-Finance-ebook/dp/B07YP12T5Q/

3. Integrating Dash into Kurecoinhub]
(https://kurecoinhub.com) (exchange), Gigalayer(https://gigalayer.com) (domain name and hosting services), Kurepay(https://kurepay.com) (POS), Yellowcard(https://yellowcard.io) (buy Dash vouchers offline), Bitfxt(https://bitfxt.com) (exchange), Quidax (https://quidax.com) (exchange), recently MyCashEstate(https://mycashestate.com) (Allows people move funds from Africa to invest in US) etc.

Do well to vote for us in this current voting cycle.

Let's see a use case in Nigeria where the Dash product works substantially better than the Fiat product
Reply

1. Remittances
2. Cross border payments
3. Long term hedge against inflation/ investment vehicle

All that is currently ongoing with Dash in Nigeria and we are looking to growing them and more.

Thanks.

1. Can Dash even compete on cost vs. existing remittance companies? Let's see a comparison chart?
2. Let's see a comparison chart of Dash vs. existence cross border payment options?
3. Maybe, but Dash has a lot of downwards volatility as well. The timing in the investment cycles appears to be extremely important if 1 is to be successful with using Dash hedge against inflation & investment vehicle

Kindly see this article. Dash can and should replace bitcoin there.

Bitcoin seems to be working very well for this use case. a) So why would consumers switch to Dash for this?
b) Paxful might not even allow Dash on its platform--another roadblock in getting Dash to overtake BTC in this use case
c) suggestion in order to try to win funding is still: to a use case where Dash works better substantially than the existing products consumers are using

That case was only an example. There's no single strategy we must use but there are several we may pick from.

Keep Dash Nigeria Afloat: A Call for Donations

Dash Nigeria has been recently defunded for the month of November 2019.

Though operating in a deficit, we'll like to continue our work for Dash this month, albeit at a reduced level, we are seeking 50 dash in order to cover absolute basics, such as the continuation of our helpline and support program for merchants and users, ongoing social media presence, office and administration expenses, industry events attendance and logistics.

We are receiving donations at the same address as our proposal here:

Hate to say it, but the hardest working team in Dash is the most unappreciated :( Come on, vote yes and keep them going! Dash has such a head start in central Africa, on a tiny budget and though it's a long haul project, Dash will one day reap the rewards of a Dash using public!

Update:
We are currently working on getting existing remittance and international payments companies to use Dash. Currently focused on the US and Canada corridor and will spread out to cover other corridors in the future.

One of the companies we are working with is MyCashEstate to achieve this in the US. MyCashEstate allows users to move funds out of Nigeria to invest in US with Dash. This proposal will help us work more on that.

Voting a solid yes for this proposal. I've been consistently impressed with the level of adoption, hardwork and **leadership** that Dash Nigeria and Nathaniel Luz have brought to the DAO. Most people may not know this, but Dash Nigeria has been running for over 2 years now and they have produced dramatic results, despite being funded at less than a quarter of other popular but far less performant proposals. This is a blight on the MNOs that I think we should rectify. Dash Nigeria has gotten so many integrations, partnerships, daily activity and just buzz in general that I would be confident in saying that Dash's Nigeria community is one of the largest of any other alt coin's community in a single country.

As you can clearly see from Anypay's data, Nigeria consistently ranks in the top for Dash transactions month after month. Only USD and occasionally THB (Thailand) surpass it. Which means that Nigeria is the 2nd or 3rd most used countries for Dash payments and transactions. We cannot ignore this, this didn't happen by accident. This is the direct result of the work of Nathaniel and Dash Nigeria. As a network, it is our duty to support those proposals that are working for adoption and growth of Dash globally. Dash Nigeria has provided that growth in spades, even in the face of being defunded and attacked on both reddit and in Dashcentral. Dash Nigeria has proven to be a leading community, and we must reward that behavior in order to see it continue.

Our enemies and detractors, who I've already proven own masternodes and try to sow discord in order to give them cover for defunding our teams working to grow the DAO, have seen fit to claim that Dash Nigeria lacks whatever excuse they came up with that morning. The facts speak for themselves. The transactions, the partnerships and integrations and most importantly the growing community all need our support. Vote Yes! to show your support for the growth of the Dash network.

In the near future we will make sure Dash doesn’t suffer any regulatory risk in Nigeria, since Nigerian Crypto regulations are expected to be finalized by Q1/Q2 of 2020. We are in constant contact with regulators and policy makers to achieve this. This is a vital task as Nigeria is one of the biggest and most influential countries in Africa and has the potential to set precedence for crypto asset regulation throughout the region.

Because of the regulatory uncertainty many legacy financial services are concerned to integrate Dash at this point in time even though the interest is really high. We expect to close many high value financial services integrations after the regulators decision and are currently preparing an action plan to scale Dash in Nigeria in a meaningful way throughout 2020

@nathanielluz can you point what 'integeration' was accomplished with coincola. As of this morning they have stated that you have simply listed yourself as the only individual selling dash in nigeria

Seems more like a marketing budget for Your project 'nepsium'

Thank you

We have started our partnership with CoinCola by integrating Dash-Naira as a OTC pair because OTC is the preferred way to trade cryptocurrencies in Nigeria. Coincola will follow up with a full exchange integration in the near future (mobile app).

Nepsium is a Dash focused but DAO independent project with a stand alone team and funding. The Nepsium payment gateway is the easiest way to interate Dash into payment services in Nigeria right now, that is why we won't ask for funding for most BizDev activities through the Dash Nigeria proposal anymore going forward.

Hello MNOs,

We are having some issues with claiming the proposal here on DC, but we hope to get it resolved soon.

Meanwhile, kindly read the contents on Nexus. Thanks for understanding.
