Proposal description

Dash Core Group August 1st Funding Proposals
DCG is submitting 3 funding proposals for the August 1st budget cycle:
1) DCG Compensation part one: $184,000 per month (August - October)
2) DCG Compensation part two: 400 Dash per month (currently in month 2 of 3)
3) DCG Legal: 132 Dash per month (currently in month 2 of 2)

This proposal
This is cross-posted here

What does this specific proposal fund?
This proposal funds Dash Core Group's ongoing compensation costs - including all developers, administrative, business development, marketing and support staff. This is a multi-month proposal that will cover compensation for August through October.

What is the proposal funding?
As of July 6th, 2020, DCG has 31 paid staff associated with the project. In addition, we have 2 volunteers who have decided to work for no compensation. Out of the 31 paid staff, 5 have volunteered to reduce their salaries while we face budget issues. In total 7 volunteers are working for reduced or no compensation. If you would like more detail to DCG’s team please follow this link: https://www.dash.org/team/

Our run-rate in July will be $220,000 after taking into account voluntary pay reductions.
With the current two proposals, we are asking for total funding of $211,000 per month. At the current Dash price of $69 and assuming that both compensation proposals pass, DCG is using both compensation proposals to pay for our run-rate compensation expenses. Given the current low price, even if both proposals pass, we will be consuming roughly $10,000 from our reserve per month. Our current reserve is at 2.4 months salary expense run-rate. We target, at a minimum, a three month reserve in our compensation account and ideally six months to endure sustained periods of revenue impact.

If you would like more detail on DCG’s staff, financials, roadmap, and summary of our most recent accomplishments, refer to our most recent quarterly call: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fBBViwbksc. Please note that an updated quarterly call will be provided in July 2020.

If you have any questions, please direct them to @glennaustin at dashcentral to ensure we are notified of your request.

Requested funding for this current proposal is as follows for the August through October budget cycles:
· 2,661.34 Dash for core team compensation per month ($184,000 USD @ $69 per Dash)
·     1.66 Dash / per month proposal reimbursement
Total: 2,663 Dash per month

Note: Should any funding remain, we will apply it toward future compensation expenses and related taxes.

How has DCG helped MNOs profit in the last 2 years? Just kidding. i don't own a masternode

If you don't own a masternode and you leave these kind of comments, it does make me wonder why you were whitelisted to comment in here in the first place.

what kind of comments? can you explain ? whitelisted? what do you mean? ...

Normally this budget part of the forum is only available for comments to Masternode Operators (those with label MNO), or to people that the owner of Dash Central has personally approved (whitelisted). There is one exception which i overlooked : budget proposal creators, so they can comment in their own thread. I understand now, why you have comment power here.
