Proposal description

Biggest marketing billboard in Baltics is located right in the city center of Estonia's’ capital Tallinn and will be covered in DASH for 3 weeks. See more detailed information at pre-proposal here.

https://imageshack.com/a/img922/8537/eCaj2o.png

Where exactly?
The billboard is situated in the main business area of Tallinn on the facade of the hotel which is 105 meters high (344 ft). The billboard is seen from the central station where all transportation arrives (apart from trains) and sits right where our target group spends 1/3 of their days. Between four huge Nordic banks, three of them having their headquarters located there and Microsoft office is right next door.

Why?
Estonia is technically highly advanced country and we as active and social people- hear amazingly more and more people talking about cryptocurrencies every day. Tallinn is a good place where Dash mainstream adoption could really begin. Estonia is holding the Presidency of the Council of EU in 2017 as well! So Maakri crossroad, where the billboard is, has half a million people passing it weekly - today, high profile people from EU among them.

Short Video ad:
After the Dash advertisement is set up we will make a short professional video ad about Dash using the physical ad as a focal point. The purpose of the video is to bring the message from physical advertisement in Tallinn to digital product for sharing on the Internet world-wide with DASH community. The video will be without copyright and we will share the original file with the community. Read more about the video here.

Investment:
- Ad - 99 Dash
- Video with production and editing
- 14 Dash- Team salary 4 Dash per face x 4 = 16 Dash
- Dash proposal 5 Dash

Total:
132 DASH (calculated on 17.09.17)

I agree with some voices here that the ROI of this project is unknown or at least on the weak side. However, I think we need to grab every chance we have to become more widely known. I don't consider this amount of Dash "wasted" like someone else here thinks. Thus I vote Yes.

Thank you! That's what we are thinking! :) Dash budget is growing every month. Why not give us a change and I can guarantee we won't let you down. Check the video guy portfolio, and please try to understand our plans in long term. Our mission is to do proposals every month to get bigger range for Dash here in Baltics, first Tallinn. Everybody win's!

Dear MN's!

WE KINDLY ASK YOU TO READ. Please take the time and Thank You!
---

I think I speak for the whole team of mine when I say that we haven't showed enough light behind our masterplan or there's a lack of interest in reading full descriptions.

Since 2013, Estonia has had E-Residency. It offers the freedom to start and run a global business in EU environment. It's the result from a national cyber attack that took place ten years ago, a wake-up call to look deeper into country's digital infrastructure and it's security. Today, we are known as the most advanced Digital Nation or the Silicon Valley of Europe.

An article published on Medium (21.08.17) wrote, that Estonia proposed to issue ''EstCoin'' to e-residents. To sum the article, they're thinking about a government-supported ICO which is linked with the e-residency. Read full article here. ( https://medium.com/e-residency-blog/estonia-could-offer-estcoins-to-e-residents-a3a5a5d3c894 )

Just like e-Residency, cryptocurrencies have evolved from a niche idea into an increasingly normal part of modern life for people everywhere in the world because they offer real solutions to real problems.

If the country is thinking about launching its own coin, we think it's safe to say that the market is ready and more and more private and public sector businesses are aware of the possibilities.

We know that a local Forex trading platform is hosting a big seminar about crypto currencies which is held on 27.09. Interest for this event is big, assuring us once more that the market is ready. From November they'll launch a seminar series on the subject.
---

What's gonna happen after the billboard advertisement will finish?

- We will set up digital banners on Google Ads in the most known portals, Youtube Ads and game ads directing to Dash.org. The video ad that will be produced will be set up as a youtube ad directed to tech, money and crypto search and channels. Our partner for this has very successful international experience in digital advertising.

- Both online/offline news channel called Telegram will publish articles about our doings

and so many more thoughts but let's focus on the task in hand...
---

As more and more people around the city are talking about crypto currencies and moving their money into the crypto system, we see that it's very important to raise awareness of Dash during these times. We've noticed that a lot of attention goes to BitCoin and Ethereum and here's a perfect opportunity to show the population that there's something else. Tallinn is a small city and this ad will not be unseen and we guarantee that people are going to talk about- in conclusion, this is the ROI that this ad delivers.

Result? In 2018 13-15.07 there's gonna be an alternative electronic music festival (I was organising it last year and know where we lost most of our money). For next year we want to have it cash free and to have DASH as a partner is something that has been on the table.
In 2017, 2000+ people visited this 3 day festival. For 2018 the forecast is double digits!

This is one wet dream but we as a team will work hard to make it happen. Not only will it revolutionise the festival culture but it will make the road for mass adoption.

By the time Evolution is launched, Estonia will be ready! Today we are planting a seed into peoples subconsciousness

Estonia is a great country to get to adopting cryptocurrency, but your picture you posted with this proposal does not match Tallinn Estonia at all. They have Medevil looking buildings, a picture of where the actual banner will be placed would be a lot more helpful

This is the building where the actual banner will be placed. Please open a google maps and type address: Ravala Puiestee 3 Tallinn
Come and visit us and we can show you some Medevil looking buildings also.

This type of advertising is pretty pointless without some sort of education following it around. I must vote no.

Our last version of the billboard. I'll translate you the message because it's Estonian and maybe not readable, I needed to make this image smaller to fit here at proposal page.
Under the Dash logo is written: Cryptocurrency
Beneath the edge: Private, Instant payment, Limited supply

Can you tell me what the final message will be?
Is This: Pay with Dash.org

I do not see an immediate and decisive message for people who see it, as I said in the pre-proposal

I already told you that if the word : Paypal is included. (If It's is legal).
For example: Dash.org is better than Paypal
The people immediately associates that it is Dash.
I have to think about voting ...

It's to soon, evolution first, than get some merchants in the city behind it, provide them with some stickers and posters (dash accepted here) and once that is in place up this thing up.

Are there any places in Tallin where people can *actually* pay with dash?
I wonder if it is a bit too early for these kind of ad campaign.
Reply
1 point,6 years ago
@greensheep Yes, actually there are 3 places officially. And couple of them who already accept Dash payments but they are not listed officially. After that campaign we have several ideas how to move forward and our mission is to bring more, and more merchant's in. I have personally spoken with one big Hotel chain (5 Hotels) who is interested of starting to accept dash payments. Also we have big database with Tallinn's restaurants. We try to aim them. I think it's not early because the buzz is here. And people are looking for ways to use their crypto instead for just investment. Of course it takes some time, but if we come out such campaign people start more asking. And merchants are also looking maybe they have missed out something :)

One nitpick: from a distance or when small letters are covered it reads like HSUG. I suggest adding .org at the end.

How much for the towel? Can you reuse?
Reply
1 point,6 years ago
You are right! We will change it and also add dash.org
We will update the picture soon. We are planning to keep it and reuse it on a music festival if everything goes well.

@paulkuit Thank you for your tip. We thought the same, adding dash.org or More info: Dash.org at the banner.
Banner is reusable yes, we keep it to put it up next time also :)

I completely understand why you would think that way but we've been screening the market since April 2017, listening and looking around. What we found will support our understanding that the Estonian market is more than ready.

- 27.09.17 there'll be an open conference about crypto, held in Tallinn. 108 are attending and 596 are interested (FB 18.09)
- Estonian wants to launch ESTCoin, in collab with e-residency which is available since 1 Dec 2013. (Today, people from 136 countries have applied for it.)

Today, our main focus is to start introducing DASH, not to have immediate measurable return. This is a cornerstone in a very very big picture. I can give you a small taste of it by saying that past summer I was organizing a music festival which hosted 2000+ people. For 2018 it has a forecast with double digits on both crowd and publicity. The idea to have a cash free festival with the option of DASH as a partner is something we've had on the table.

@Dworf I agree, first we don't have immediate ROI, with video, and our next plans the ROI appears. If we do such big things. First three months we probably won't see the results, but if people see our campaigns in different mediums, they get info (read as Ad) from different channels. Then we are able to measure the ROI also.
