Proposal description

INTRO

Hello, dear masternode voters. Pete Eyre here. You may know me on the Dash Nation Slack as "TrustThyself" or perhaps even more likely, as Amanda B. Johnson's "Manservant."

SUMMARY

I'm requesting reimbursement for the open house that was held on March 30th, 2017 in Scottsdale, Arizona.

BREAKDOWN

  • 10 Dash -- given away to attendees via paper wallets, mostly in increments of 0.1 Dash
  • 2 Dash -- given to Robin for drinks, cake, fruit, plates, etc., plus a tip for fuel costs
  • 3 Dash -- to cover 18 XL pizzas plus tip
  • 5 Dash -- to offset proposal submission fee
      20 Dash total

ADDITIONAL NOTES

  • Use of the room incurred a slight cost. Ryan Taylor  – the point-person on the ground – stated to me that he plans to incorporate that into a future budget request related to the SkySong office space.
  • At the open house Mike M. (“mrmime”on the Slack) auctioned a mining rig, which netted 4.75 Dash. At the conclusion of the event Mike sent me that Dash to help offset the event costs. Thus the total amount requested on this proposal was adjusted by 1) requesting less Dash than was given away to attendees, and 2) not requesting additional compensation for myself for outreach efforts taken to see the event succeed.

CONCLUSION

The cost for this event was nominal for the value it created across many levels. I hope it sets the stage for bigger and better gatherings in the future. Thanks again to all all involved and thanks in advance for your "Yes" vote(s)! If anything is unclear please let me know in the comments.

This gives me the idea that in many cases, it might be best to incur the expense and request reimbursement. Just a little brainstorm. Great job on the open house. Sorry I couldn't be there!

I no longer have access to that email account. After reading "When Google Met Wikileaks" I transitioned away from Gmail. First to Riseup and now to Tutanota.
