You can also find the podcast by going to iTunes and typing in "future tech"

I also created a short video so you can see and hear me, and verify that
I am the voice behind future tech podcast. To find the video, go to YouTube
and type:  "future tech dash proposal"

We are interviewing 4 Dash-related folks each month, then posting their
interviews on our iTunes channel (currently up to 30,000 downloads a month)
and on Twitter (paid advertising by us) to help spread Dash adoption.

We're asking for a 3 month commitment of 25 Dash a month
to get these interviews done.

Please show your support and vote YES!

now a part of the Dash community and have a stake in its success.

Discussion: Should we fund this proposal?

Sounds a bit odd that you ask money to interview people from our community.

All, i have an idea: everyone here is, by definition, a member of the Dash community. Who is open to doing a phone interview this week for the future tech podcast? Lets get at least one cooking asap.

It's unfortunate, but it seems like enough masternodes have gotten cold feet after their first impression of your proposal, that you will likely have to try again next month starting with a pre-proposal to explain what went wrong, and assuming all goes well you should get refunded for this fee as well. I also recommend you try coming to the slack chat and or posting on the forum to re-engage the masternodes (either now or after your next proposal) who may have misjudged you. Alternatively, you could contact Ryan Taylor for advice which is what Free Talk Live Radio did after an unsuccessful proposal this month which today got added to Ryan's marketing budget instead.

Paragon, I wish you would've private messaged me. By writing this, it is only going to ensure the proposal doesn't pass. Please private message me, and if possible, delete this post.

why would he delete his post, this is what EVERYONE do before posting on this website. Rather read the guidelines instead of trying to pretend they dont exist.

OK, some clarity has bubbled to the top. If I may summarize:

1. Yes, you are who you say you are. Good job!

2. Yes, the Dash treasury has funded your show before. Very nice.

3. Yes, you know who the lead developer for Dash is and yes, you made a silly error regarding his name. I'm fully confident you will never make that mistake again and your professionalism will shoot up to new heights.

4. You have a legitimate proposal that is a good fit with the demographic we want to reach.

5. Your price is not unreasonable for producing a high quality interview format/show every week with as many committed viewers as you have.

6. You have improved your hardware and technique, such that sound quality and production quality are improving.

7. You actually own some Dash, AND a masternode, AND have a clue what's going on in the crypto world in general and the Dash ecosystem in particular.

If this is an accurate summary of the current situation, I now vote yes and would encourage others to do the same.

Finest regards, solarguy on the slack channel.

Fair, I will change my votes to yes and watch closely. Please don't make me come change them.

Thanks. His attention to detail doesn't get a vote, but he has a bunch of content.
And I bet his iTunes downloads exceed his direct downloads, because his direct downloads... DON'T WORK.

Willing to give it a try, but thus far... geez. Just messy. Gotta do better in an interview!

*Everyone* is going to have problems until you fix your links in the proposal. Your tech guys can't fix that.

Change your two URLs from https://www.futurete... to http://www.futurete...

t0dd, I fixed the links but they kept reverting to https, so I took out the https and all are now just www - not sure why?

Hi, I found that your past proposal still active on receiving payment until May 20, 2017 and this proposal is overlapping the previous.
Reply

Bhkien, my old proposal only ran for 1 month because of the 12.1 update. That's why i had to run a new one.

When it rains it pours. Would you mind googling "future tech podcast" instead? Ill have my web guy look into it asap
Reply

Tell your web guy to fix your download links. They don't work. And your links in your proposal are STILL broken. They should be http and not https.

I edited the post to add links to some of the previous interviews, the website where the podcast is located, and how to find the podcast on iTunes.

I'm doing my best to respond to all comments and fix things as they go. I ask for your faith that we will do a great job and promote Dash to our listeners.

Hi Richard, since there was some doubt about whether you were an authentic representative of the future tech podcast, is there any way you could prove you are an owner of the future tech podcast?
Reply
0 points,7 years ago
Probably the best way is for me to record my voice, which will match my voice on all the future tech podcasts. Would that work?
Reply
0 points,7 years ago
Yes that would definitely work since it would allow skeptics to compare the recording of you with Amanda with the recording you make today or tomorrow. Obviously, you would want to say something like "today's date is March 24 2017 and i'm submitting this video or audio clip as proof of my identity as a representative of the future tech podcast." You could upload to youtube or anywhere convenient.

Paragon,

I made the video today and put it on YouTube. Can you go to you tube and type in: future tech dash proposal
Reply

While I could not find any photo or video of you Richard Jacobs on the Future Tech Podcast website or elsewhere on the Internet, the voice in your Amanda interview and your proposal YouTube video https://youtu.be/I3vIooKWBsE do sound alike, and I do believe that this has been a big misunderstanding and that you are sincere in your desire to help Dash. I would urge all masternodes to please reconsider their votes as I do believe Richard has good intentions to help Dash by increasing Dash's exposure to his audience, but due to a couple of unintentional small mistakes, he has clearly accidentally started off on the wrong foot.
Reply

Yes I think all masternode owners would like to know:

Who have you previously interviewed?

Have you been funded before?

Links to verify that you are who you say you are?
Reply
1 point,7 years ago
Did you mean Evan Duffield? If so, you might as well have requested for funding to do podcasts on the virtues of Christianity, interviewing people associated with the faith including

Jason Christ
James the Baptist
Maisy Magdalene
Pontius Pirate

... I'm sure it's an honest mistake but you're asking for $7500 of funding, I don't wish to curb your enthusiasm but getting our lead developers name wrong on the proposal isn't a great start ;-)
Reply
1 point,7 years ago
You're right - lead dev's name was wrong and it is now fixed. We've been reaching out to various folks in the Dash community, and some are taking time to agree to be on the podcast - Evan is one that we may be able to get as a guest very soon.

His name wasn't on there to be disingenuous, but to show the type of guests we are working to get in addition to the ones we have.

Hope this helps, and we are committed to helping spread the adoption of Dash.

Some intelligent and interesting conversations

http://www.futuretechpodcast.com/podcasts/node-40-done-for-you-running-hosting-maintenance-of-your-own-dash-masternode/

The website and sound quality could be better. Given the product is relative to my interests but I have never heard of it and given it did not occur to you to post links here I suggest you could improve your marketing :)

Abstaining for now.

Bitedge,

As you can see, I monitor the comments and am responding to suggestions to
improve the proposal so it has a chance of being funded.

As for the sound quality, I've always been a "good enough is good enough -
just get it done" type person, so I ask you to judge the fact that I've done
130+ interviews since October vs. the fact that the sound quality isn't
the greatest - BUT, I recently obtained a new microphone and call service,
so the sound quality will be improving.

I ask you to have faith, and to give us the chance to do what we say we are
going to do.

Does anyone know this person?

Has the Dash DAO worked with this person before?

I see no external links or info backing this proposal up to deem it credible for my votes. Voting no to defend the treasury unless someone comes out to verify.
