PROJECT PROPOSAL

INTRODUCING DASH TO BUSINESSES IN GHANA

PROBLEM

There are only few businesses in Ghana that accepts Dash as a medium of exchange. The lack of businesses accepting Dash is holding back Dash users from trading with it despite the increment of Dash usability in Ghana.

SOLUTION

Our solution has to do with equipping the operators of business and market traders to accept Dash as a means of payment for goods and services.  The reason being that, until a number of businesses begin to accept Dash as a means of payment, people won’t start using their Dash, our solution aims at targeting more on small scale businesses across the country with immediate target of the industrial regions of Ghana; Accra, Kumasi, Tema, Tamale and Takoradi, this will eventually make it more accessible for people to get their Dash spent and of course it will attract newbies and in the long run augment Dash user base.

Also, as part of the project a number of Dash Exchange centers will be established in every region of Ghana so as to make it more easy and affordable for people to quickly exchange their Dash for Ghanaian Cedi and the vice versa. Dash has no physical location anywhere in Ghana where people can exchange their fiat for Dash. With this people are freely to walk into any
exchange center to get their fiat being converted to Dash and more businesses will begin to accept Dash.

DESCRIPTION
Gradually cryptocurrency adoption in Africa is taking roots at an admirable pace. However, one critical area that needs a big push is merchants and business acceptance as a form of payment for goods and services. It is very indispensable since that will boost adoption and offer Africans the freedom and convenience virtual currencies brings.
Ghana is one of the four countries where cryptocurrency adoption is picking up remarkably. The West African Nation is home to over 25.9 million people and counted among entities where monetary mismanagement has ruined lives and wealth creation. There is no doubt the country is ripe for use of cryptocurrencies.  Myself and my team have interviewed a number of small scale businesses and market traders prior to this project and the responses revealed that that most people shun banks due to a number of reasons which include lack of trust, difficulty in accessing funds, cumbersome procedures in opening accounts, and high interest charges on loans. Surprisingly, most Small and Medium Enterprises owners affirmed that they cannot trust banks with their savings due to hidden charges and unclear condition.
We want to create a simple and easy platform for hundreds of businesses in Ghana  which will bring together operators of restaurants, hotels ,gas stations, estate agencies, travels and tours ,supermarkets, car rentals ,online shops to accept Dash
cryptocurrency as a form of payment for goods and services.  This project will see a meet ups of business owners, one-on-one interactions with businesses on the need to accept Dash as a means of payment for goods and services and a radio talk show.
We are requesting for 18 Dash every month in the next three months including proposal fee of 5 Dash making it 23 Dash to enable us carry out this project. Pictures and videos will be posted to the Dash community

The evangelism continues as I have gotten in touch with a number of businesses and organizations having finished with the Dash Business Radio Talk show where I got the public educated on the need for business to begin to accept Dash as payment for any good or service. This week was a visit to a number of businesses to make presentation on Dash and the need for them to get involved. Many has accepted Dash and I got to their stores branded with Dash stickers.

Thank you so much for the support given to this project so far. This is the best project I can run for the community after Dash has gained more grounds in the Ghanaian community and we shall soon hit the streets of Ghana to get Dash to businesses across the country. During my scouting days of getting Dash to the Ghanaian population, the question people normally asked was ''Since Dash is a digital currency, where in Ghana can it be spent and where can I change my Ghanaian cedis for Dash?'' In an attempt of getting answers to this questions led to the proposed of the project in Question, Ghanaians are yearning to get this started. It needs188 Yes votes in 7days, Am still counting on your support to get this project started.
Dear Masternodes, if your have not voted Yes, Please kindly do so.

Hi Zambang! Good to see Dash gaining ground in more areas across the continent! A couple questions (apologies if these are in the proposal, the bottom seems to be cut off for me and won't load, so I'm going by the forum thread.):

1. Will there be one meetup in each region over the course of the proposal? Or one each month? (or more or less?)

2. Can you tell us a bit more about how the "exchange centers" work? Are these ATM's or storefronts?

Thanks!

Thank you.
During the course of the project, a successive meet up will be held once in each region but aside that, my team and I shall be scouting around the area, getting at regular basis every month, getting in touch with the businesses, explaining to them the need to start accepting Dash and of course businesses that are so closer to each other, a smaller meet up will be held.
Also on the course of the exchange centers, a store front will be used which involves directly exchanging fiat to Dash and the vice versa.

From the article OP is quoting in support for his proposal:
https://www.dashforcenews.com/dash-meetups-catch-on-across-africa/
"Meanwhile, in Nigeria, Nathaniel Luz has organized several Dash meetups as well. At a meetup in Warri on the 16th, 22 people attended, including 15 installing a Dash wallet and the first 8 participants given $10 worth of Dash."

Sorry but I am voting no on this proposal. I see these more like donations than anything else. Having said that, I would support large scale ones in Africa without much hesitation.

Thank you for your observation, the article in question was referring to two different African countries that have organized Dash meet ups. To me and as far as Ghana is concern ,the meet up approach was the best tool of propagating Dash to the Ghanaian people. Having organized a number of successive meet ups and conference in the past which has resulted in an overwhelm increased of Dash user base in Ghana, There is no any other bigger project that should be carried out in Ghana then getting Businesses on board to start accepting Dash and establishment of exchangers. The one question people normally asked during the days of scouting to get more people to join the Dash community is "aside keeping my dash in my wallet, where can i spend it Ghana since is a digital money?''. This hard question demands an answer and in finding the solution has led to propose this project. I see this as the project that should be carried and am looking forward to your involvement in this.
Thank you

@zambang has been a part of the Ghanean Dash-explosion since the beginning, less than a year ago. Since then, Ghana has become Africa's hot-spot for Dash activity and adoption, thanks to multiple simultaneous Dash projects. Perhaps this presents a model of how to bring Dash to Africa... one country at-a-time. Good luck man!
