From the start, Daria made clear that the hub model is built on independent, self-sustaining businesses. She provided a full description and action plan, and the hub representatives confirmed they were on board.
However, they later decided to go their own way and not follow the agreed model, choosing instead to submit their own proposals directly to the DAO.
Daria’s plan was for the hub to first handle the legal groundwork for operating in a new location. Without this, integration with major local exchanges in Thailand is simply not possible.
The hub kept saying they agreed, but eventually requested a significant budget directly from the DAO and told Daria her guidance was no longer needed. This happened despite Daria having already provided full onboarding: community guidelines, posting instructions, design files for roll-up banners, and support with side event approvals.
Most importantly, Daria was ready and happy to provide the $1K for legal work. But the hub itself told Daria to stop reaching out and cut off all communication. Everything was documented.
Funds were also set aside for a design contest prize for a student. That prize has been paid out.
Going forward, Daria is placing even greater emphasis with new hubs on the independent model and how it works. The $1K will now be used with other Thai Dash community representatives.

P.S. Daria is genuinely sad this happened. It is a lesson for her. Going forward she will be more careful when choosing hub partners.

In Thailand, all exchanges except the officially licensed ones are prohibited. So even if Dash gets listed elsewhere, Thai users still won't be able to buy it legally. On top of that, using cryptocurrency to pay for goods and services is prohibited, so without engaging with the SEC, nothing will really move forward. That's why these events alone don't lead anywhere.

The first priority should be engaging with legal counsel, the SEC, and the Digital Sandbox framework.
