Proposal description

Dash Embassy Turkey Q2 - 2019 Proposal

First, let us summarize why Turkey craves for an unconfiscatable, censorship resistant, easily transferable, global Digital Cash.

Why should the Network fund a Dash Embassy in Turkey?

High Inflation, High Interest Rate, and Devaluation of the Turkish Lira:

Turkey faced waves of legitimate economic crises throughout its years, and it is facing a new one lately ranging from the devaluation of its currency to high inflation and interest rates forcing the country into stagflation. Unfortunately, there has been no monetary and economic stability for over 5 years; The Turkish Lira is constantly losing its value, and people are seeking alternatives.

USD/TRY pair:

Inflation Rate by percentage:
Stats Link:
Crypto Potential:

According to ING:

18% of the Turkish population (14.4 million people) own cryptocurrencies
45% of the Turkish population (36 million people) expect to own cryptocurrencies in the future.
53% of the Turkish population (42.4 million people) believe cryptocurrencies are the future of spending online

Turkey plays a critical role as a transcontinental Eurasian country that stretches across Southeastern Europe and Western Asia.
The country holds a population of 82 million, and 50% of this number is under the age of 30 ( This young generation of 40 million is born in Turkey’s digital era; therefore, they instinctively use and prefer digital payment methods for their day-to-day transactions.

Turks make up one of the largest minorities in Germany with more than 4 million people. According to a report by Wirtschaftswoche, a German business magazine, a total of 5.1B Euros were transferred from migrants living in Germany to their families abroad. Based on data obtained from the German Central Bank Deutsche Bundesbank, the Turks make up the majority of these transfers; Approximately, 822M Euros in 2018(

What will the DAO get out of this proposal?

Our overall goal is to establish Dash as a safe harbor for the Turkish population and increase the adoption of Dash as a means of payment in our country.

Business Development:

We want to increase the number of FIAT on and off ramps (Exchanges) and make Dash available for Lira purchases. Together with Dash Embassy D-A-CH we had first talks with and and will take over those leads completely as soon as we get funded.

Due to our demographics ( we know that most of these young people are into gaming. The gaming industry's revenue is expected to show an annual growth rate of 6.1%, resulting in a market volume of $371M by 2023.

User penetration is at 19.6% in 2019 and is expected to hit 30.9% by 2023 ( This target group is already familiar with digital payments and alternative money such as in-game currencies. This is why we decided to focus on the gaming industry in the beginning stages as the first tile in a row of dominoes. We believe they will be the first adopters of DASH.

We plan to organize several free Turkish Coffee & DASH meetups on highly populated venues like i.e. Shopping malls, Starbucks, Hotels. We will be introducing DASH as an unconfiscatable, censorship resistant, easily transferable, global Digital Cash.

In addition, we will organize free educational workshops at universities and high schools. We will have a presentation in Turkish inspired by the Dash Meetup presentation on and contribute it to the network, so every Turkish native speaker can download and use it.

In the future we will try to arrange sponsorships for e-Sports Teams & Events. You might see an additional proposal for that in the upcoming months.

We will use a copy of the website like the team from Dash Embassy Thailand did. We will translate it into Turkish, localize it, and make some region specific changes and publish it right on this website:

Social Media

We will share content from DashNews ( and translate posts of and publish them on our website along with our Social Media Channels:

As explained above the remittance market between Turkey and Germany is one of the most vital in Europe. Together with Dash Embassy D-A-CH we will try to advertise Dash as the #1 solution for remittance between Turkey and Germany by organizing educational events with Turkish organizations in Germany like, In these events, we will demonstrate step-by-step how easy and instant the process is to use Dash compared to other methods.

International DAO-Collaboration

To reach our goals in the most efficient way we aim to become a member of PR connectory and BizDev connectory to collaborate with other POs and DFOs all around the globe.

Our team includes front runners from different backgrounds that will help speed-up the adoption of Dash in Turkey.
We are ready to devote our youth and do whatever it takes for to this noble cause.

With a 30-day SMA (simple-moving-average) price of $110 per Dash from on April 15, 2019.

With Dash, Turkey will have an option, a door, a red pill, a light in its pitch-black darkness!
With Dash, the Turkish people will be woke enough to realize that they do not need to abide by any rules forced upon them.
With Dash, the Turks will politely opt out of any monopoly, cartel and kleptocratic system they had to tolerate.

Your vote shapes history and has the power to turn hope into reality!
Not just for Turkey but for the entire ecosystem of Dash and its network.

The social media accounts for this project are absent of followers and content. There appears to be nothing happening with this project. What has been completed? Photos and videos should be provided.

Unfortunately, we had to hire a new social media manager so that caused a lack of posts on our social media channels.

We have great news to share and exciting events coming up!!
Photos, videos, live streams will be provided. Stay tuned!

Tweeting is a task that is too difficult for you to do yourself so you had to hire someone else? What did we just pay 300 Dash for?

Any updates?

Due to lack of support from major exchanges in Turkey (being stubborn and not listing a DASH/TRY pair on their platform) had an impact on our roadmap, forcing us to postpone our plans such as e-commerce integration and remittance (for now).

Right now, we are focusing on Merchant Integration and building a community within the Gaming Industry where Dash will be utilized as a tipping currency, both from streamers and gamers. The benefit for them: No fees, no commissions, instant, global! Their money stays with them, they won't be robbed.

We'll be attending one of the biggest gaming expos in Turkey very soon!
Please, follow our social media channels and stay in touch!!

I'll also keep you updated, ALWAYS! I apologize for the very late reply.
We appreciate your support, means so much to us!
Please feel free to reach out to me on Discord/Telegram.

Looking forward to hearing progress/results of your efforts with the gaming industry.

Generally hesitant about "embassy projects" due to the often high cost / ambiguous benefits. But your mention of gaming + youths + e-Sports is what won me over and makes me excited about this proposal. This is the first I have heard a DASH team focusing on this "valuable" market ("gaming" that doesn't mean gambling).

I believe this proposal is valuable if only for what the network can learn from this single purpose. Hoping for your success and hope other teams make the connection and learn from your efforts!

We appreciate your support and enthusiasm henrygeorgist!

We are thrilled for the opportunity as well. Yes, Dash needs fresh blood!

We think introducing Dash and utilizing it as a currency in gaming economy is extremely valuable. (Hands down) Dash is the best candidate for the job, and we will turn this dream into reality!!

Again, thanks for your support and kind words.

We will keep you updated as soon as possible!

Friendly reminder to Masternodes: All your votes from last month are cancelled, null and void. Unlike previous months where successful proposals can kind of coast because all their YES vote carry over, this month, THEY DON'T. Please go vote so that we don't leave deserving proposals high and dry. If you are having problems voting, this thread will likely solve your problem, otherwise ask.

The clock is ticking.....17 hours. Let's get after it!

While the economic conditions in Turkey are approaching those for which the expansion of Dash is favorable, I've already been vocally opposed to the other embassy projects--and indeed most grassroots efforts at this point--simply because I don't think the cost/benefit ratio for such projects is in our favor given the current market conditions. We have no reason to believe that your efforts will result in anything vastly different than what other similar efforts have accomplished in other regions, and scant funding to go around, so I can't in good conscience support these sorts of projects until our budget increases to ensure we have enough funding to secure projects I believe are much more critical to our ongoing health.

That being said, I think your proposal is very well fleshed out and documented and would be glad to reconsider your team's efforts at such a time as the markets return to a more favorable condition and larger budget.
