Why Dash Convention Europe 2019?

The Dash Convention Europe 2019 is conference organized by the Dash community that will take place from 28th to 30th of October 2019 in Zürich (Switzerland) and Munich (Germany).

Goals of the convention:

1. Enable networking between DFOs and Proposal Owners from all around the globe to increase the efficiency and productivity of the Dash DAO
   
   
2. Establish networks and connections between the Dash Community and companies in the Dash ecosystem to discover and develop potential synergies
   
   
3. Increase the visibility and brand recognition of Dash as a cryptocurrency and Decentralized Autonomous Organisation for people new to the Crypto-sector. 
   
   
4. Increase media visibility and presence of Dash

Convention parts

To reach the above mentioned goals, we structure the Dash Convention in three separate parts.

Day 1: Dash Co-Working Day

The Dash Co-Working Day is meant to be for the focussed exchange between DFOs, Proposal Owners and Masternode Owners. The Co-Working Session is scheduled to take place on Saturday 28th Sept from 9am to 3pm at the der Bitcoin Embassy Switzerland. It will be the first opportunity for active community members to meet in person of this scale. The goal is to share and discuss experiences and develop strategic approaches together for Business Development, Marketing und Adoption to improve the efficiency of single community initiatives and develop a common strategy. 

The results reached during the Co-Working Days will be developed further in the weekly Co-Working Calls.

Day 2: Inside Dash

The Inside Dash is the part of  Dash Convention open to the general public. Tickets are sold at a price of 30 CHF (ca. 30 USD) each. It will start saturday 28th Sept at 3pm and close Sunday 29th Sept  at 5pm. The venue is at the Bitcoin Embassy Switzerland/biz. All participants will be handed 10 CHF in Dash at registration.

Inside Dash will offer everything you expect from conferences, from talks, to a panel discussion to an exhibition area. The speakers will present the latest developments in Dash to Newcomers, potential new Partners and the press contacts we invited to get them excited about Dash.

Day 3: Dashtoberfest

The “official” “Dashtoberfest” is an event sponsored by Bitalo AG. Bitalo AG bears the costs, reservations are limited and only available to invited guests of Bitalo AG. The location is the “Schützen Festzelt” Oktoberfest tent in Munich. It will take place on Monday, 30th Sept. “Dashtoberfest” is meant to connect and build friendships among DFOs, Proposal Owners, Business and Media Partners and MNOs.

The “unofficial” Dashtoberfest (Oktoberfest) is of course open to the public. We hope to meet many members of the Dash Community and have a good time.

Exhibition area

At “Inside Dash” there will be an area dedicated to partners and sponsors. So far, the following Sponsors will showcase their products and services: 

Genesis Mining, CrowdNode, iQCashNow (incl. ATM), Salamantex, UTRUST, Bitalo, Vaultoro, Blucon, Lamium (more tba)

In addition to the sponsors we will have a Dash stand, where people can meet members of the Dash DAO. The team of Dash Retail will show a Dash accepting vendor machine.

Media partners

We managed to convince Cointelegraph, Coin360 and BTC-Echo to be the official media partners of Dash Convention Europe 2019. Cointelegraph has requested a dedicated area to do interviews with DFOs / Proposal Owners and keynote speakers.

Budget

We tried to keep the costs as low and the tickets for Dash Convention Europe 2019 as cheap as possible. We will manage to raise a part of the necessary funds through sponsoring and ticket sales, but we still need the financial support of the Dash DAO.

These are the costs (1 CHF is ca. 1 USD):

Location: 3,450 CHF
Catering: 9,400 CHF
Travel support for DFOs: 4,500 CHF

All: 17,350 CHF

We expect these revenues:

Tickets: 2,000 CHF = 100 x ( 30 CHF - 10 CHF) 
Sponsoring: 5,100 CHF 

All: 7,100 CHF

We need the following amount:

We calculate with a Dash price of 95.00 CHF per Dash
