Proposal description
TOTAL request: 100 Dash (1 month) *Being the first month and a trial, I ask for the minimum necessary. If we manage to obtain good results, in the coming months I will try to make requests that are more in line with the estimates and expectations.
- 90 Dash= Rewards for 10 Merchants
- 5 Dash = Monthly Social Management in relation to this Proposal→ This request is symbolic and inserted only to highlight to you the existence of this management of the various social networks which I will certainly be able to quantify better with any future proposals. In this phase, therefore, the request for the 5 Dash is limited exclusively to the management of these Social for the advertising of the new Merchants.
- 5 Dash = Management costs + Compensation → Management costs include the management of requests via email or other means of Social contact, transport costs to physically go to the Merchants as physical presence will be required the first few times, printing of images / stickers to display, small miscellaneous and possible that I struggle to predict being the first experience.

In this year I have voluntarily reviewed all of them both aesthetically and in terms of content, obviously focusing more on those most commonly used, and I have done a job of constant and timely dissemination of News and Dash's fundamentals, also creating a simple Excel management system suitable for purpose and using concurrent disclosure tools such as buffer.com

I think by now that I have acquired a good knowledge of this huge and complex project called Dash (knowing it 100% is probably impossible even for those who are still developing it) above all for what the Platform will represent by now upon us, and I have therefore decided to dedicate also in the near future an important part of my life in encouraging Merchants (where I deem it appropriate) regarding these issues, therefore encouraging its adoption not only as an instrument of exchange, but as an ecosystem capable of creating a brand new and sustainable concept of State .
I see in all of this the possibility of rediscovering a much sought-after coherence, a possibility that I believe is now lost by remaining a traditional citizen who uses fiat currencies, part of an extremely unsustainable economic system for my generation and even less for the incoming ones, as well as an expression of a ethics that no longer represents me and perhaps never represented me and above all in which I have completely lost faith.
Currently I have the ability to quickly get in touch, thanks to a series of local chats, with at least 300 Merchants not far from where I normally operate that I would like to personally encourage and verify by engaging in this every day. I would be satisfied to be able to get results with an average of 5 or 10 Merchants per month in the first months.
The idea would therefore be to make 4+1+2+1+1 Dash available to the Merchants, for a total of 9 Dash.
The first 4 Dash are obtained in bulk following the performance of all the following points for each Merchant who:
- Install the Dash Wallet App (to which the compensation Dash will then be sent) by downloading it from the following Link: https://www.dash.org/it/downloads/ or from the usual official Stores (Play Store and Apple Store).
- Print and display “Dash Accepted Here” (see image) at the Merchant's entrance or checkout by photographing this choice.
- Make a short video of a customer paying for the service/product/meal in Dash (and this could be physically verified by myself at any time).
- Advertise these photos/videos on your social networks and/or website.
- Forward the best images and videos (maximum 5 in all) to the email of the Dash Italia account manager to be able to advertise them on the main official social networks and the Merchant's social links to be able to verify that he has done what he declared.
- Fill out the form (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScf8eqe-qU0BpK-9j3atb7PMQiNzKVc3TVXsbAa8syqOZu1FQ/viewform) to enter the Merchant in the search section of the official Dash Wallet App (Settings → Explore → Where to spend ?).
I think these steps above are the minimum to be considered Dashiers.
Furthermore, if the Merchant also has an online shop, it proposes:
- 1 Dash if the possibility of paying in Dash is simply highlighted on the Home Page using the "Dash accepted here" image again, postponing payment management to a secondary contact such as the Merchant's email.
- 2 more Dash if you automate the payment during the purchase by showing Dash as the first possibility (in case you accept other Cryptos) and with automatic opening of the Official Dash Wallet App. In this case you may need the help of a developer.
Finally, to encourage sharing (obtaining the respective Roi), understanding and importance of Masternodes, informing of the aim of raising awareness of Trustless where possible, and to encourage Merchant customers to use Dash as a preferred payment instrument, the last 2 incentives are proposed:
- 1 Dash if, through the dedicated section in the official Dash Wallet App (Settings → Explore → Staking ), you put at least 1 of the Dash received for the work done above into a "passive income", becoming part of all those who offer the indispensable Masternode service which could also prove to be the future "retirement" of our generations and those entering an economic system completely different from the current one. For this part, I will personally assist them in person or with telephone assistance by asking them to send a screenshot of the Staking section of the App where you will see the Crowdnode balance. Being in a first approach phase I think it could be enough.
- 1 additional Dash if you agree to replace the image used "Dash accepted here" with "Dash accepted here 20% Discount if you use Dash" (or in any case an attractive discount) in order to encourage customers to use Dash instead of other tools.
Thus managing, a single Merchant, to obtain up to 9 Dash and officially entering the Dash ecosystem.

The reasoning why I thought of 9 Dash as an adequate compensation was: For less than 9 Dash (5 for example) only those who already know cryptocurrencies a little and would try to get them with the least possible effort and probably with a different goal than it should be. For more than 9 Dash (13 for example) you would risk seeing users strive to get them by cheating. 9 Dash, in Italy, are equivalent to about ¼ of an average salary and for a small Merchants sometimes even more and it is a good figure for which one would be willing to do a good job by spending the right amount of time.
If the possibility of more Merchants joining at the same time and in a defined geographical area is highlighted, the idea would be to propose a live meeting between these Merchants and me, in order to increase the perception of the instrument itself, of Dash, and stimulate towards an increasingly circular economy.
This Proposal would therefore be necessary to dedicate as much time as possible to what is described above, having the strength to encourage the adoption with a certain importance, and the request is estimated for the first month and to test myself together with other people who will help me, trying to overcome 10 Merchants (90 Dash of prizes therefore).
I would like to clarify in advance that, in the event that the Proposal passes, the funds will be submitted to CoinJoin before use to respect my privacy and that of all those with whom I will relate to embark on this adventure, whether they are Merchants or people prepared to accept Dash, as Dash I believe is also the disclosure of this, privacy, professionalism and respect.

I know exactly the terrone mentality, which is basically 'steal whatever you can / fuckover whoever you can'.
They are only worried how to pay their exaggerated taxes and overblown electricity/natural-gas bills.
Most of them will use those 9 Dash for paying their tax-debts and/or electricity/natural-gas bills, that i can assure you.
Don´t believe this, italian merchants do not care about Dash or Crypto in general, and not in the least.
If only one out of 10,000 customers maybe owns 0.5 Dash? Come on now.
And besides that, italy is a TOTAL shitcountry in terms of financial freedom and every bank account is soon under total orwellian surveillance because 'war on tax evasion', all for serving as long as possible their pathetically out-of-control public debt. Italy as a nation is a complete joke.
If the PO really lives in this shitcountry, he should know, that every merchant in italy is held under total strangle-grip of tax police ("Guardia di Finanza"), and that accepting Crypto as a merchant in italy would be an accounting and bookkeeping NIGHTMARE (unless converted to EUR as soon as the merchant receives payment) because of all the oppressive laws.
Those 100 Dash are like thrown away. There are hundreds of ways to spend those 100 Dash much better.
And better than this, is feeding a bunch of hungry kids or orphans with those 100 Dash.
However, it is not correct to extend this ideology to everyone without knowledge of the facts ... Italy is also made up of honest people and Merchants who are simply tired of the oppression who, as far as I can see, you know well ... who seek to explore new tools such as Dash that present themselves as a real alternative to the fiat currency system...
What you say is correct for those who have absolutely not internalized Dash's ideology... for those who accept them by converting them directly into fiat money through providers or cards. Also enter in the section "where to spend?" of the app all those merchant chains I don't think is in line with Dash's philosophy because those merchants don't really know Dash and use the crypto world to expand their target customers. Yet many Dashes have been finalized for these goals.
With this Proposal we don't want to encourage the adoption of 200 random merchants... it's just a few, ten to begin with... and taken from local realities that in recent years have been meeting each other continuously and are trying to stop having trust not only in words but by really trying.... and above all we try to create a local circular economy as a starting point.
In the end I agree that we will have no real control over what the Merchants will do with these Dash, and rightly so because it is part of the libertarian mentality… but the real purpose of the Treasury Dashes must be this.. ... to encourage direct adoption... not with intermediaries.

For a merchant in italy (and most of Europe for that matter) accepting Dash (or Crypto) is highly problematic, and here is why:
1) Volatility / Price fluctuation: merchants cannot sell today for a price X and having tomorrow a value of X minus 20%
2) merchants have inventory lists they need to keep updated, for potential tax audits by authorities and
merchants are by law required to collect VAT (in italy called IVA) tax from end-customers and consumers
They cannot pay their VAT account or add to their owed VAT balance any Dash, because they need to pay to the state this tax in EUR currency, so they would have to come up with this portion from their own pocket, which almost none are willing to do.
3) If not entirely outlawed-per-se (i am not sure about that), accepting Dash as payment would be an accounting and bookkeeping nightmare for a merchant in italy (or most of europe), because of taxes like Capital Gains Tax (in italy called "Plusvalenze") that the merchant would have to calculate and declare. It would cause very high costs to the merchant from their tax&accounting advisor than they would earn by offering this payment option.
Those three points pretty much sum it up, why merchants aren´t really interested and hesitate.
And as long as italian (and european) laws won´t change, they simply cannot easily accept Crypto payments.
Of course, they won´t hesitate to take some free Dash coins for no obligations whatsoever on their part.
If you have never run a business yourself, you may not know or not believe this, but if you ask a tax advisor he will eventually confirm more or less everything i wrote.
In order for your idea to work, so that at least some merchants could be genuinely interested, it would have to be a DASH-branded POS-system, offering these features:
a) It would have to work for 20-50 different major coins at least, and not just Dash, because there are simply not enough people on the street or in retail stores, who own Dash - this is a matter of fact in italy (and europe as well).
A merchant doesn´t really need a POS which he uses perhaps once in a lifetime, or so.
b) instant conversion to EUR currency, meaning the merchant will get credited only EUR currency (or can at least opt for that feature), because otherwise he just cannot accept it, because of the governing tax and accounting laws as i tried to explain to you.
c) low fees (competitive with card fees), should be below 1%
d) the DASH-branding (and mentioned below in much smaller letters "or Crypto payment" would need to be clearly visible for all his customers on the device itself or the merchant would need to be willing to attach a huge sticker or sizable billboard with Dash and its logo at the counter, and not removing it for a specified time.
For this he could be offered for example, a discount or rebate of 20-30% of the POS device costs.
Honestly, i only know a single payment processor with low fees (0.5%) offering the option to convert in real-time to EUR and crediting the merchant EUR currency, and that payment processor is:

However, i do not know, whether they offer a POS-device for merchants or if there is an affordable POS-device available from some third-party brand, which is working with their service.
In practice, there is no other practicable way for a merchant to accept Dash payments,
at least not as long as laws aren´t completely changing.

If a person accepts Dash directly, he has no obligation to issue a receipt in euros because at that moment he would be misrepresenting because he has not received euros and making false statements is a serious crime. The fact that this person owns a business registered with the chamber of commerce is secondary if, in the meantime, he has been able to create a circular economy in which he can use those Dash that will never return to Euros. It is very important that the person (even before calling himself a merchant) has a clear understanding of the whole matter and assumes all responsibility.
At this point, even declaring in your tax returns that you own an asset as if it were speculative would become a false declaration because it is not the real purpose with which you are using it.
But all this would not be enough if one did not officially declare that they no longer have any trust in the Fiat system and in the State system, therefore also legally (and this path can be tried to be consolidated thanks to the Platform... a project that no other Crypto has ).
This is a bit what is happening in some areas of Italy...
A Fiat system is a system that does not include obligations, but when it is "rejected" it is necessary to have tools that allow for full responsibility to be taken.
Accepting crypto through a provider is the same as not accepting it in real life... and it's certainly not Dash's goal...
