The best way to think of this project is by recalling the movie, "Invasion of the Body Snatchers." There is a foreign entity that is attempting to take control of Dash's online identity. In a clever fashion, they first took control of our beloved Amanda, and they are using her clone to convince us to go along with this scheme.

If we do go along with this, one day soon we will wake up dispossessed of our valuable Dash brand, or we will end up in expensive litigation, at which point we will discover exactly who owns DashCrypto, LLC.

It's getting kind of comical. I watched a video by Amanda where she goes on about the amazing DC web wallet (insecure and irrelevant, BTW) and all the umpteen upgrades they have planned for it. Who is going to pay for all this work? She thinks the DAO is going to pay for it?

It kind of feels like the DAO and Amanda are going through a divorce.

Oh, there's more. JulioDash has convinced DeltaEngine to abandon work on the open-source MyDashWallet.org wallet, and instead work exclusively on the proprietary DashCrypto web wallet that leverages all the work the DAO already paid for. And the DAO has to pay more to develop this wallet that DashCrypto, LLC now owns.

There appears to be and old DashCrypto proposal that has just got voted through. This was for 240 DASH (40K) and there are still appears to be remaining payments on this old proposal if MNOs do not vote against it passing again:

https://www.dashcentral.org/p/DashCrypto-Team-Comp-Bare-Minimum
https://app.dashnexus.org/proposals/dashcrypto-team-comp-bare-minimum/overview

It seems to me that by posting many SPAM proposals JulioDash took the attention off the old proposal to allow it to go through with just 17 votes.

I am now also changing my votes on the old DashCrypto proposal to "no" I personally do not want that proposal to go through for next funding round for reasons I gave in this proposal.

I suggest MNOs also reconsider their votes on that proposal based on the responses given by JulioDash in this proposal and others.

I think we also need some means in place to prevent this type of issue happening again. We should be able to easily see all proposals open by any single proposal owner all in one place. If we had, I'm sure that old DashCrypto proposal would not have been allowed to go through.

Hi DeepBlue,

You can do that on Nexus (you may need to log in):
https://app.dashnexus.org/users/dashcrypto

Except that for Dashcrypto it doesn't work because the 24 month proposals start with the next block and not yet eligible for funding in the current superblock.

I was wondering why i couldnt find them on Dash Nexus, i ended up checking on Dashninja to see if they were real budget proposals or perhaps some kind of error on Dash Central.

The 24 month period starting with next super block and therefore excluding these proposals from (early) visibility on Dash Nexus is informative, thank you.

I took a look at the bare-minimum budget proposal and my vote registration. Looks like i voted in feb 2019, but then the deterministic masternode upgrade happenend and my votes basicly got nullified. Somehow Dash Central did not inform me that i (still) needed to vote on this specific proposal.

Voted again today.

VOTING NO!

After reading some of the responses from DashCrypto I'm sorry to say that I have reluctantly changed my vote from YES to No.

A big part of winning over a customer is about listening to your audience, your customers and meeting addressing their concerns. "Customers" or "buyers" are the people with the money that you are looking to win. In effect MNOs need to "buy" your concept, your approach and your idea in order for your project to get funding from Dash Treasury. It is not about being "controlled" or "dictated" by MNOs. It is about listening to constructive feedback that is given with positive intent and constructively dealing with those concerns. A MNO has $176,000 USD investment in each masternode. We are doing what we believe to be best to ensure the health of the network. In reading your replies it appears you have not truly listened to MNOs feedback. You have heard but not listened.

I took time to give you some constructive feedback, believe it or not to assist you, but your response was simply to stonewall over the feedback by saying you are going to continue to use the terms "invest", "investing" ROI etc.

It appears to me your team have little real world professional sales or marketing experience. The reason I say this is that you have not been successful in presenting your replies to MNOs to win funding for your proposal. You have not listened, you have only heard. You have not adequately addressed the real and valid concerns.

I am genuinely sorry to say I will not be able to support this project going forward unless there are radical changes in attitude and approach made by this proposal owner.

Thank you for making this comment.

Your decision to hold us hostage and not pay the salaries of my entire team because we didn't do as you wanted and use words you don't like is exactly the reason why this isn't going to work. We are going on separate ways because I can't manage a business designed to serve millions where the revenue is based on the whims and wishes of 200 people like you.

— "I am sorry team! Unfortunately, you aren't getting paid for your hard work this month because DashUnicord and DeepBlue posted a paragraph on a forum and we didn't do what they wanted. "

Kicking us out of the Treasury will go down as MNO's biggest mistake, and it is truly heartbreaking that you all can't see that.

"I am sorry team! Unfortunately, you aren't getting paid for your hard work this month because we didn't do what the mnos wanted" (Fixed it for you.) It should go without saying that the less your actions align with what mnos want, the more "No" votes you will receive.

There are over 300 "No" votes. It's obviously more than just a couple of us posting a paragraph on a forum. This proposal has received more feedback than most other proposals. Often times the project leader has no idea why they are getting "No" votes, but on this one, many have cared enough about it to express their reasoning. So far you have not used this to your benefit.

And you were calling ME entitled? The Dash treasury owes you nothing, and "going down as the MNO's biggest mistake" is just arrogant. We've already heard this message before from a certain other unspeakable failed proposal whose leader was also an expert in burning bridges. I hope that your team, especially Amanda and Pete (I do not know who is on the rest of your team of 9 people), will recognize what is happening here. Even though they are in an awkward position right now, they have been great. Have you tapped them for help? They have extensive experience in this area and they know how to work with a dao effectively. It would be great if this were possible, but if it is not possible, it is better to nip this in the bud than to foster an ongoing toxic relationship.

Hello JulioDash. It is not "doing as we want". Your replies regarding our concerns about the dangers of using investment related words was simply not strong enough of an argument to change our views. I do not agree with the "holding hostage" comment.

I had voted "Yes" for your proposal originally because as I stated I liked the work you were doing. This was with the exception of your decision to continue to use investment related words. At first I thought that perhaps you were not aware of the SEC and the Howey test so I gave you some details on that so that you would know and hopefully appreciate the reasons for raising these concerns. However when you responded you were going to continue to use those investment words you leave us (at least myself) with no option but to not vote. Because we do not want to have DASH promoted openly as an investment for reasons previously explained regarding the SEC. The DashCrypto site is a high profile site representing DASH for that reason it is essential to ensure your content does not openly encourage people to invest in DASH as an investment. That is not to say however you can still present information that would be useful to an investor. That is what I have been trying to say.

Sometimes when people write out replies here and in forums etc it can be misinterpreted as to what the tone of the communication is because our actual voice tone is not heard.

Here is the wording of the Howey Test:
https://consumer.findlaw.com/securities-law/what-is-the-howey-test.html

1. It is an investment of money
2. There is an expectation of profits from the investment
3. The investment of money is in a common enterprise
4. Any profit comes from the efforts of a promoter or third party

We could fall under Points 1 and 2 by the SEC in the above Howey test by openly using words that encourage DASH as a potential Investment.

I will address each of your answers.

1. The SECs definition isn't thin. - Points 1 and 2 above are clear.
2. Others haven't: We are not voting on what others do. We are voting on your proposal so this is irrelevant. If others are doing this they they should not be for the same reasons.
3. You don't need to put up with insults. I have not intended to insult you are anyone. I have read other MNO comments and they do not appear to be insulting.
4. Point 4. "For now, we operate exactly as DCG did for 2 years, and how others still do today. " Ryan Taylor of DCG has specifically stated not to promote DASH as an investment. Please see this page

https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/an-open-letter-from-evan-and-ryan-regarding-dash-marketing.15537/

Effective sales and marketing is about listening to a customer's concerns, learning to understanding your customer without reacting emotionally, truly addressing those concerns, communicating effectively to address those concerns with honesty. Professional sales people actively WANT the customer to voice their objections. They encourage it. They do not see it as a threat but as an essential part of being an effective sales person. They want to hear objection after objection after objection. In that way a marketing professional knows what the barriers are and then can deal with them one by one. When there are no more objections the sale inevitably goes through. The worst possible situation for a professional sales person is to receive no objections from their customers. The fact people are objecting here is actually incredibly valuable information for you and your team. Why not try and welcome those objections realising they are beneficial for you and your project. You want to encourage objections as much as possible, not only that but to see it as healthy.

Objections are not only useful to learn where the blocks are for a customer but they are also good for challenging your own ideas and beliefs. It is only in this way can a person really improve.

If you are unable to adequately answer an objection then it might just be you have to look at your own reasoning and if the reason you give are not as strong as those being raised then perhaps consider changing your view.

In my opinion it would be a great loss to DASH if you just threw the towel in because of MNOs raising objections. You're clearly passionate, talented and a smart person that has got a lot to give. Perhaps take some time before responding so that you have a chance to calm down so you can reply without acting on an incorrectly perceived threat.

I hope you see these as constructive comments. My old sales manager once said to me.

"The mind is like a parachute. It works better when it's open".

@dashcrypto (JulioDash) I have copied and pasted in below MNO DashUnicorns request not to use investment terms and your reply. Your reply can be confirmed by any MNO by simply searching for the exact text string I have posted below in this proposal.

DashUnicorn's Comment 1 in this proposal (copied below) specifically requesting no use of investment terms:
1. Don't ever use the term "invest", "investment", "investor", or "ROI" either on your website or in any of your public comments. It should be obvious by now that mnos do not approve of this because of potential implications with the SEC. If you can't even do this much then your proposal is DOA.

JulioDash's response to DashUnicorn's request:
" 1. We will continue to use the terms as SEC's definition isn't so thin. "

The reply you gave above DashJulio in response to DashUnicorn point 1 clearly states you intention to "continue to use the terms"

That is one example of what I mean by not listening.

I'm disappointed in the miscommunications all around, by both MNOs and JulioDash.

Julio makes some good points, but sadly his "online-text attitude" comes across quite poorly. May be emotional because the project may not get funded for the 3rd-4th month, but that's not a good excuse.

Re: "duplicate features" - one of the goals of the project is to consolidate the several different websites. Yes it's more decentralized to have a different site for each service, but only geeky nerds like remembering how to manage how to get anywhere: discoverdash, mycryptowallet, DashBoost, 178.254.23.111, etc.

Re: "trusting an anonymous individual" - what more do you need to know? You can see the product for itself - visiting dashcrypto.org you can see a lot of work was put in (months without funding). It doesn't look like the work of someone trying to sabotage DASH. There may be mistakes, which get corrected, but no malice intent. Whether Julio is public or private won't change that.

Re: Amanda is held hostage. This is the most ridiculous statement in all these comments. If Amanda wanted to do all this herself, she would. But she chose to start working with JulioDash and can leave anytime if she chooses.

Re: "investment" - I don't see anything promoting investments on the site, and haven't for a long time.

Re: "not funding dashcrypto will be the biggest mistake" - no, I don't think biggest, but it would be disappointing. The network has already made several large "mistakes" and will continue to make more. It's part of how to learn and improve.

JulioDash, if you are brave enough to continue this project without treasury funding, I suggest posting a donation page/address. The beauty of Dash/crypto is that anyone can voluntarily support the projects they want. It's how many crypto communities without a protocol-level treasury do it. May not be ideal but those that want to support you could do so.

2. Other successful and very popular projects have released budget breakdowns. Your excuse for not providing one when several mnos have asked for it [that it will only be used as an attack or to micro manage] is BS. Look at the other proposals that have released budget breakdowns to see how it is done, and then please do it.

3. Blocking mnos who have opinions that make you uncomfortable is a losing strategy. Don't ever insult voters on your proposal.

4. Please arrange for the transfer of the ownership of DashCrypto to a DAO controlled entity.

If you do these things, you may earn my vote for future DashCrypto proposals.

1. We will continue to use the terms as SEC's definition isn't so thin.

2. Others haven't either.

3. I don't need to put up with insults.

4. We will consider in the future. For now, we operate exactly as DCG did for 2 years, and how others still do today.

Choosing not to allocate funds for the team over this triviality is disrespectful, and will not lead to the outcome you are imagining.

1. What part of "the mnos don't want you to do it" do you not understand? It doesn't matter what you think the SEC's definition is - clearly the mnos don't want to risk it. You are proving all your critics right when they say you DO NOT LISTEN. Go ask the mnos for a show of hands about this. Call me disrespectful if you want but I don't know how else to get this into your skull. If you can not even do something as trivially easy as this, don't go around all surprised that there are so many no votes when you are so intent on stonewalling. DashCrypto is not going to suddenly become worthless just because we don't use "investor" lingo. Is this really the hill to die on? Using investment language is a DEALBREAKER for some mnos.

2. Yes they have. Kindly start with Dash Force. We aren't looking for a deep financial audit here. High level financial breakdown is acceptable.

3. Says the person who readily associated themselves with DashUncensored where people shit on Dash and on Evan Duffield all the time. Apparently you only treat people with customer service skills when they are Dash critics but not your own critics. You do not need to respond to insults, but proudly sticking your head in the sand is not how to understand the opposition and win them over.

4. Asking to transfer ownership to DIF is a testament to how important I think DashCrypto is. Do you have any idea how much more popular your proposal would become if mnos were not asked to trust an anonymous individual with the ownership of an important service? This needs to be done NOW. The more money we funnel into your project, the less leverage we have to ask you to do this because of all the possible sunk costs. Better to not fund this at all until this can be done.

Amanda if you are reading this please talk some sense into Julio and get him off his high horse. If he won't come off it then I am sorry to say as good as the project looks, we can't have someone who doesn't listen to mnos at the helm. Julio, the ball's in your court.

Looks like we aren't getting you vote then.

1. We haven't had investor content for 2 months and you're STILL talking about it.

2. No, for the reasons given. What would you do with it anyway? You are not in charge of managing the project.

3. Thanks for the wonderful comment.

4. I'll consider not being anonymous when others do too. Like UdjinM6, who decides what gets committed on DCG's Github. Or TroyDash, who can delete the entire Discord Server and erase all its history. Or Moocowmoo, who is responsible for several managed masternodes.

Do you want to influence, DashUnicorn? Write me an email making your case. Or write an article and send me a link.
Buying a Masternode doesn't automatically make you qualified to manage a business at this level. You can be 13, 40, or 90 years old. You are a group of stay-at-home dads, casino supervisors, YouTubers, freelancers, musicians, CEOs, retirees, doctors, unemployed, students, journalists, investors, etc. Statistically, only 0.5% of you are proper dentists, or accountants — but somehow 100% of you are great business managers, and I should listen to and act upon every rant you make online. Give me a break.

1. "We will continue to use the terms as SEC's definition isn't so thin." versus "We haven't had investor content for 2 months and you're STILL talking about it" Should I be concerned or not concerned that you will use investor content?

2. I do not think it unreasonable to request some detail about how the budget is to be spent when grant money is requested. I would not do anything with it except to help decide how to vote. It offers insight into what your priorities are, and lays a foundation for future expectations. The difference between your operational costs and flex costs are important when considering how risky a possible future budget crunch might become if there is a fall in the price of Dash.

3. I am thankful that you appreciate my eloquent comment, it is my pleasure to help.

4. I don't know how DCG manages the dashpay github, but DCG is owned by the Dash trust, so Dash will retain DCG property and can replace the entire DCG board if needed, even if some people employed by DCG are not public figures. Troydash and Moocowmoo are different because they do not have any proposals running and they are not sitting on a pile of closed-source code that was paid for by the treasury.

To pass a proposal, you need to persuade a conglomerate of casino supervisors, YouTubers, freelancers, musicians, CEOs, retirees, doctors, unemployed, students, journalists, investors, dentists, and accountants to vote for it. This is unchangeable. A room full of these people is not the same as a room full of business managers, and it requires a different approach than the one you might use in the second case.

You haven't paid for anything, repeatedly insult my team and me, show no respect for the project, have no appreciation for what we do, possess no skills or competence on the subject, and yet approach me an entitled attitude and a list of demands for us to meet so you "may" pay us to work for you.

No thanks!

We haven't paid for anything? I am sorry if I am mistaken. Unfortunately I do not have any insight into what the treasury funds have been allocated towards because DashCrypto has not provided a budget breakdown. If none of it has been used for web development, it is truly my bad!

You don't know anything about me and my skills or competencies. How do you know I have no appreciation for what you have done? That is completely false. I have not repeatedly insulted your team at all. This is the first time I have even dealt with you. Please re-read my posts.

1. I strongly object to your use of "investment" language, and if you read the other comments you will see that I am not the only one. This is a dealbreaker for some people.

2. I am requesting a budget breakdown, as others also have, and have explained to you why I think it would be helpful for us for you to do so.

3. I have informed you that being unwilling to engage and not using solid customer service skills when dealing with critical or harsh mnos is not a good way to handle the situation.

4. I've expressed a desire to leverage the brand new legal structure that was formed specifically for these types of use cases. I think DashCrypto is too important to not use this.

How about,
"Thank you, DashUnicorn. I value this feedback. Here are some things we can do to address or alleviate these concerns."
But no.

1. We haven't had investor content for 2 months. The word "invest" doesn't appear on our site, and even if it did, context matters. But you are still going over it.

2. Already responded.

3. Thanks for the feedback.

4. I agree! That's why it is planned for the future. To request we transferred things you haven't paid for or created to the DAO at this time is unreasonable and we will not do it.

Please reread your first message. It is a list of unreasonable demands and things we've already done, that ends with
"If you do these things, you *may* earn my vote for future DashCrypto proposals."

1. If your initial response had been that instead of "We will continue to use the terms" then we might not still be talking about it. I am still unclear about your future plans about this, however.

2. Thank you for response, but I think your answer is inadequate and I have explained why. If you have any questions about this let me know.

4. What has the DAO paid for then? If we do not even know this (budget breakdown), how are we supposed to know what is reasonable to ask?

I don't guarantee my votes under any circumstances. I can only inform you what actions you can take to influence my decision, and it is up to you to determine if other voters might be influenced by those same factors.

Hello DashCrypto team. I like your work. My understanding that it is important that DASH not be openly promoted as an investment. This is because such promotion could potentially be used as evidence by SEC that DASH is being promoted as an investment with an expected return and therefore this would then meet one of the 4 points on the Howey Test.

My view however is that it is important that information that investors would find helpful be presented so that if they choose, of their own volition, to invest they have the information to hand. Therefore the balance is for us to be able to present information useful to investors but not openly promote DASH as an investment. Therefore the word "investment" should not appear anywhere as a basic requirement.

Information that investors might be interested in for example is the rate and development of the DASH source code in the Github repositories compared to other cryptocurrencies. Although this is not a definitive indicator it is one indicator that can be useful to gauge the investment DASH is making in its code. In addition the number of developers and the fact that DASH is self sustaining financially. All of this type of information is useful.

My view is also that institutional investors would also be interested to see areas where DASH is taking steps to meet and work within the current legal framework. Companies and institutes may not want to invest in a technology that is not going to meet current legislation and therefore risk losing their investment. Companies want to feel assured that they can build on the platform and be certain that it will meet legislation. Even if we cannot meet all legislation now due to the infancy of the technology demonstrate a willingness to work to meet the legislation is important. e.g. there are specific laws associated with meeting contract law, AML laws and KYC laws.

One area of concern for DASH is private send. My understanding of AML law is there must be a record kept of who owns what and where the funds came from. If that cannot be demonstrated or if that record is obfuscated then it may not meet the current legislation. My understanding is that privacy is important for both frangibility and for security however anonymity opens the door illicit or illegal activity.

From memory, ( I may not have quoted this exactly correctly, if not my apologies) of one of the DCG key goal objectives was to make payments available, easy to use by anyone. However I feel that goal perhaps needs to be reworded to "available to everyone that is acting lawfully" Otherwise DASH could also be used by criminals, terrorists, corrupt governments, human traffickers and illegal drugs and arms trade.

From memory I seem to remember Ryan Taylor stated once that "law enforcement agencies will do their detective work to identify such black market activity" however I do not see how that could be easily undertaken if DASH creates anonymity through mixing unless there is a way for law enforcement to have access to the full record of the source and history of all transactions on the DASH network.

I believe Investors would may also be concerned about Private Send and how DASH will meet both AML and KYC laws that require access to the full traceable and trackable history of any funds. We can still have privacy in a pseudonymous manner. I think that is what AML law is requiring. Mixing effectively erases the certainty of transaction which I think may causes issues with the current AML and KYC laws.

If DashCrypto could clarify such issues publicly on the dashcrypto site it would help the DASH cause be more clearly understand what our stance is and what we are doing to meet legislation.

I understand some of MNO's don't see a need for another website apart from dash.org.

Dash.org is ok. It has everything it should have but don't you think it's a bit formal, even official in places official.

Having another portal, less formal, updated more frequently, is a great thing. Many people may find it better suited, engaging.

So it gives us a chance to reach different audiences => giving the Dash the exposure it deserves => creating more demand all over the world.

Voting Yes will definitely help the community and the Dash.

I will vote yes just to have competition with the core team and because you seem to have actually done stuff.

I didn't like you taking Amanda "hostage" in your other proposal. It is confusing that you call yourself the Dash team when we already have a team, at least differentiate. The ask is high for a website which we already have. I hope all the Dash map solutions are integrated somehow...

Even if this is a good idea, and even if you were a reasonable person, the fact remains that we don't know who you are and we don't know who owns Dash Crypto, LLC. We cannot allow an unknown entity to represent itself on the world wide web as "Dash." Any Dash portal has to be controlled by the Dash DAO.

I see you care about Dash with passion and are acting with its best interest as you see fit. However, your actions are going against your best interest. Dash Crypto doesn't sell any product — we exist only to promote Dash. The project is run and managed by Masternode owners. Some of our employees are Masternode owners too. There are no incentives for us to do anything other than promote Dash.

I agree — all brand assets and intellectual property should be controlled by the Dash DAO. We project was launched just 3 months ago — give us time (and resources) and we will get there.

I also hear your concerns with Dash Crypto LLC, but please know the entity was created to protect our employees and us from liability. Individuals should not conduct business. We are a team of 9 people, and it is already hard enough to hire professionals when our funds can be taken away at any moment, but it would have been even harder to hire if we weren't an entity with limited liability.

Mastermined asked for the budget breakdown. i would like to know how the funds are getting spent as well. please provide a breakdown. if ur asking for such a large amount we should get a breakdown of how its spent and who eventually owns all the site and info? what happens if we spend this much and u dont get funding, does it all just dissappear into the ether? and saying dashnews got 30k is not a good answer.

Dash Crypto is a service provider, like DCG was for 4 years. We provide competent and professional Web Development + Marketing for Dash, and we are in charge of prioritizing and managing our resources. We will not share a budget breakdown as it will lead to you trying to define our priorities and micro-manage the project.

I hear your concerns about us disappearing with funds. Please note that you don't need to trust us to deliver the value we're asking because we have *already delivered*. Please check the "What we have delivered" sections on our proposal: dashcrypto.org/proposals/dash-crypto-team-jun-2019/

Also note we have no incentive for that too — we are masternode owners, just like you.

No. We believe there is enough information to make a decision on whether we should or not receive the funds, and with the amount of unfunded attacks, insults, and vote manipulation, it would just be used as a weapon to cause even more problems for our project.

Wow you guys delivered all that without funding for 3 mos? That is seriously impressive.

I tried the web wallet. I liked it, it was really easy.

I also like your idea of putting all our various services on one website. It reminds me of like Amazon or Walmart. People like those places because it provides everything they want in one place.

You have my votes, keep up the great work!!

Dunno if DashCrypto is willing to share this information, but we are very open on our side, you can read on DashWatch every month and our breakdown and what we actually worked on. As promised we will continue working on the planned features in the upcoming months even without being funded.

The collaboration started with DashCrypto as we worked on a redesign anyway and we just merged efforts, there wasn't any major funding to get this done (less than our monthly ask, so our loyalty is still with our users and the Dash DAO of course to deliver on our original promises, including the upcoming decentralized mixing and stresstest, most of the rest has already been delivered).

Anyway I want to stress that going forward we will be working closely with DashCrypto and integrate all new features (2FA, new much nicer hardware wallet support, buy/sell dash in the wallet, first evo wallet, etc.) over there as it is simply not possible to do these things in an efficient way with our old wallet. Some advanced features will stay at MyDashWallet, but for 90% of users https://wallet.dashcrypto.org should be an easier choice. Full disclaimer: We hired a web developer that helps us with all this work and to keep that going we will also receive funding from DashCrypto (otherwise we would have to open a new proposal, but we don't think that is fair, we want to complete all work from the previous proposal first before opening any new cans ^^).

We are also collaborating with Dash Core, BtcPayServer and Ledger for better Hardware Wallet InstantSend support, we are all sitting the same Dash boat :)

I believe the sole reason why the network funded previous proposal wasn't for the 'website' per se it was ultimately because they really wanted more videos from Amanda. Harsh but true based on previous proposal comments. My gut feeling is the network would much prefer a separate proposal from Amanda to create videos solo with a much lower sensible ask. This proposal is like you have taken her hostage and you want the network to pay you a ransom for videos to continue. However, I'm not sure the network will be duped or prepared to keep facilitating these big funding requests.

If Amanda had no involvement I honestly don't think you would have made it this far. We've had 7 Amanda videos in a 4 month period. It's a lot of money to ask for videos if the network isn't keen on dashcrypto.org website. Rodrigo for example from Dash Brazil is making videos on a daily basis for a fraction of the price.

I want Amanda to keep making videos but please don't take the network for fools the reality is after Amanda went on her hiatus end of June 2017 Dash experienced more growth, developments, integrations and partnerships after her departure going on to reach an all time high. So although her videos are welcomed and very much appreciated we also know Dash's long-term success and utility isn't dependent on Amanda.

I believe having an alternate competing version of Dash.org website will only bring confusion not solutions. I don't see anything new being offered only imitation. Serious investors and smart money will always want to visit and check official Dash sources.

JulioDash's mad rush to try and create a better Dash website before release of Dash.org website refresh has failed and I wish he had waited and listened to the network as we could have used treasury funds elsewhere. I personally really like the new Dash.org website refresh. Yes, it took a long time but I believe we should be encouraging DCG to improve upon it and not fund copycat substitutes. I'm sure once the Dashpay Dapp is launched with v1.0 Dash platform, Drive and DAPI that Dash.org site will be updated again to reflect changes. In my opinion the isometric images used on dashcrypto.org make it look like an ICO website from 2017.

Innovate don't imitate. There are no original ideas, just remakes. I don't believe splitting traffic and further dividing the community is a wise idea.

dash.org - dashcrypto.org
forum.dash.org - dashcrypto.org/forum
docs.dash.org - dashcrypto.org/forum/qa/
mydashwallet.org - wallet.dashcrypto.org
discoverdash.com - dashcrypto.org/places

It's getting a bit silly now. Are you going to fork Dash as well?

If this proposal doesn't pass are you going to replicate dashcentral and dashnexus so you can have your own treasury? At this stage I wouldn't be surprised.

I think using Amanda as bait 'dangling the carrot' promising future videos isn't going to work any more.

I do really like the Amanda videos so if this proposal does not get funded I'd encourage Amanda to do a separate proposal. I'd be interested to know if other MNO's feel the same way?

I'm also very concerned about JulioDash's behaviour and poor judgement both on Discord and Reddit. No-one in the community knows who this faceless individual is. Yet he's a moderator of the troll infested r/DashUncensored subreddit and is creating new subreddits like /r/CryptoNiggas in the past month with the Dash Crypto account! https://www.reddit.com/user/dashcrypto/

JulioDash also refuses to be apart of Dash community channels. It appears he just wants to rule, not listen to others and create his own little kingdoms r/dashcrypto r/CryptoHomies r/CryptoNiggas r/DashUncensored

I do honestly think he'll try and fork Dash if he doesn't get his way. Old-School Darkcoin / Dash peeps will remember 'very similar' individuals that went off on to other projects like PIVX and SmartCash. I see the same character traits in JulioDash.

We've already spent more Dash on dashcrypto.org than the official dash.org refresh! I hope that puts everything into perspective. This is like a rival project that on a personal level doesn't want anything to do with our community yet expects that very same community to use and fund its vanity project. This is madness!

I don't know why Amanda keeps aligning herself with these type of individuals and outsiders. She makes informative videos on Dash topics but her own personal judgement leaves a lot to be desired as we all remember the shocking 'ignore Dash' marketing campaign, failed PMBC PR proposals, plus other failed marketing proposals with Russian counterpart etc.

I just wish Amanda would work directly with DCG and create videos again for the official Dash YouTube channel that built up subscribers based on her previous Dash Detailed videos. Now that 'official' Dash channel is collecting dust. That's what I truly want to see and I believe that alone would benefit Dash so much more than an imitation dashcrypto.org website ever could.

I like ABJ's videos and I especially agree with you about her record of choosing poor partnerships.

Some of this criticism is valid but some not at all.

In my experience, I have never had a problem communicating with JulioDash. But I have noticed that he tends to shy away from certain individuals, for example, those who make massive mountains out of molehills about being a mod on /r/DashUncensored. His reason for doing so actually made a good amount of sense, but there were those immediately calling him a traitor and basically shutting down the conversation. I often get concerned about these kinds of overreactions because they drive wedges in the community for no reason. Maybe you wouldn't view JulioDash as an "outsider" to the Dash community if you weren't so quick to bar the door.

There was not a "mad rush" to create the site before dash.org's update. If you remember, it was taking *forever* for dash.org and there were problems with external vendors. Additionally, this was never intended to be a replacement for dash.org, and Fernando was consulted and kept in the loop about the different aims and strategies for dash.org and dashcrypto. The idea had quite a lot of support at the time, as evidenced by the successful proposal passage, so I think your criticism about rushing and not listening to the community is misguided.

Saying that you think dashcrypto is going to fork Dash is pure FUD conspiracy nutjobbery with no basis in reality.

All of this being said, your point about JulioDash being anonymous is something to consider and I think is worthy of further discussion, as well as steps that can be taken to protect the DAO (such as an arrangement with the Trust or DIF) if the network continues to make a significant investment in this project.

Also, the /r/CryptoNiggas thing I think deserves an explanation

Overall I'd much rather have the focus of the proposal discussion be about the actual quality/utility of the work. You spent a lot of time discussing Amanda but with regards to this proposal I see her as an important component, but not the main piece.

Sorry TroyDASH I normally agree with your comments but respectfully I have to disagree with you and correct you on a few things you have stated.

"Overall I'd much rather have the focus of the proposal discussion be about the actual quality/utility of the work. You spent a lot of time discussing Amanda but with regards to this proposal I see her as an important component, but not the main piece."

The MNO comments of support on initial proposal mainly focussed on Amanda being apart of this project as Amanda's involvement was used in proposal details in addition to an announcement in comment section by DashCrypto as a main selling point. "featuring Amanda B. Johnson." was also used in the proposal title! if you want to be a really pedantic about it. Evidently based on MNO comment feedback listed on proposal I believe a majority of the votes were heavily influenced by this so this is an important point to address and recognize. If there was no Amanda involvement, support would not have been as strong for this initiative. That's not a radical statement that's a factually based conclusion derived from MNO feedback. So respectfully that is a very fair, valid and important factor for all to consider and acknowledge.

My opinion is I believe the network values and cares about Amanda's videos more than the dashcrypto.org website itself. If you don't like that then fair enough that's your prerogative but it doesn't make it untrue either.

"There was not a "mad rush" to create the site before dash.org's update. If you remember, it was taking *forever* for dash.org and there were problems with external vendors. https://dashnews.org/dash-launches-new-website-refresh-with-user-flows-roadmap/

The network was fully aware and debriefed about Dash.org website refresh delay towards end of 2018. The truth of the matter here is the Dash.org website refresh was live the following month of proposal mentioned and Fernando commented on the proposal confirming that DCG was in the process of deploying website which turned out to be true with February launch date posted above. If you recall the proposal details consisted of using metrics from old Dash.org website as a justification to create and fund an alternative version with a few extra bells and whistles for marketing etc. Prominent MNO's expressed caution in the comment section that it would be wise to wait to review refresh first before utilizing treasury funds as Dash.org refresh launch was imminent. It certainly is not a misguided criticism as you have reported.

Not that commentary, examination nor deep analysis is required for my initial comment. It's all fairly straightforward without having to dissect using negative labels influenced by personal feelings in an attempt to discredit. Try to remain objective and rational. It's important to be able to distinguish humour. Clearly the "Are you going to fork Dash as well?" inclusion was for comedic effect in relation to the list of Dash resources cloned and remixed. I shouldn't have to justify and explain my comment to an MNO in equal footing. My comment means just as much as yours. You're not in a position of authority here to moderate or validate my comment or my opinion. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think you have a crystal ball with the ability to look in to the future so you can't dismiss the unknown with certainty. Yes the fork comment was subjective but it's more plausible than impossible. I think MNO's are more than capable and smart enough to understand this and come to their own decisions without you having to police the comment section.

The "FUD conspiracy nutjobbery with no basis in reality" retort really wasn't necessary. The basis and reality of establishing that connection was for MNO's that have been about for a while that will recall former community members that tried to be involved or provide Dash related services and not getting their way only then to move on to other crypto projects disgruntled supporting creation of bastardized versions of Dash with alternative agenda. That's not a conspiracy theory that's our history and journey to date.

I have the right to comment here as an MNO so I don't require nor desire your approval in order to make my comment valid or not. I trust the network to make the right decision and think for themselves.

My initial comment still stands.

BlueMoon,
Other MNOs might see Amanda as the centerpiece to this proposal, but I don't see it that way, and I don't think that is how it is being presented either. The first proposal did have a greater emphasis on Amanda although I would attribute the difference being that there are more accomplishments to speak about now than there were initially when the project was just starting, hence more relative attention before.

Yes, everyone knew about the dash.org refresh and it was discussed in depth about why the proposal was being submitted even with that being on the immediate horizon. However it was not rushed, it was in development for a while, and the reasons for creating it were mostly independent of the new dash.org. I like the new dash.org also.

Re: "Clearly the "Are you going to fork Dash as well?" inclusion was for comedic effect" -- Yes, a comedic effect that serves to discredit someone and sow FUD about the PO.

Re: " My comment means just as much as yours. You're not in a position of authority here to moderate or validate my comment or my opinion. -- Total nonsense. What on earth gave you the idea that I might be attempting to assert authority over you or moderate your comment, or that I think you need my approval for anything? I find it disconcerting that you seem to be randomly playing a victim card for some reason when I have done nothing to you.

The reason I called it
"FUD conspiracy nutjobbery with no basis in reality" is because that's exactly what it is. I never dismissed the possibility as you stated. Anyone who works for Dash can go and do something else with another coin later, that much is obvious. And proposal owners that aren't wanted anymore by Dash do have every right to explore other options. But unless there is a reason to think that this PO actually has plans to do that, it's unwarranted and I think unfair to the proposal owner. If you're concerned about the PO possibly going to another coin or even going so far as forking Dash, then how about just ask if there is anything that can be done to protect the network's interests in such an event, instead of joking that you "do honestly think he'll try and fork Dash"?

That is a very large ask, what is the monthly burn rate?
I don't see any kind of budgeting breakdown, can you please provide that.

Hello Mastermined,

Since January 2019, we have received
March 2 = 490 DASH = $82.31 * 490 = $40,180
April 2 = 240 DASH = 240 * 121.7 = $29,208
Total: $69,388.
That's $9912 per month until July. It doesn't even come close to cover our actual expenses for what was already delivered, nor for what we will deliver in the future. If after seeing all we have done, and all we are proposing to do, you still need a budget breakdown, I don't think we can get your vote in any scenario.

The only reason you think dash.org was cheaper is that you are not inputting the salaries of DCG employees into the cost, and you are comparing apples to carrots. We could also have done it cheaper if we took 15 months instead of 3, and did only a static site without the Dash Web Wallet, Business Directory, Metrics, and the other services you can see today, and the ones that haven't been published yet. In any case, cheap was never the goal — cost/benefit is — otherwise we would have done a single HTML landing page for $3000, as was seriously suggested by a MNO.

Ps: hasn't Dash Force News received almost $30,000 in the previous cycle and is set to get another $37,000 in this one too?

What is the team proposing to do to increase market-share in VZLA? (ie. country in 1st place for decline per day of purchasing power of national-currency)

They are working to increase Dash awareness globally.
Consequently, the value of Dash should grow faster than BTC.
That would be great for users in VZLA, too.
