Proposal description

PURPOSE OF DASH CONNECTS VENEZUELA: During the first phase of this project, market uptake was achieved through a massive process of affiliation, resulting in + 2000 businesses that initially accepted Dash as a payment method. Now, during a second phase, the focus of DCV will be connect with the user and allow an effective purchase cycle, increasing the number of daily transactions.

How we are going to carry it out?
  • DCV will focus on facilitating the knowledge of exchanging the currency in terms of: purchase, use and sale through the creation and implementation of DASH POINTS, who will massively advise and educate users on the different exchange platforms where Dash is available.
  • Development ofadvertising campaigns that allow us to connect with Dash users
  • Connect with theuser and provide them an experience through the development of a Consumer Relationship Platform

Keep momentum and growth: We will continue to serve our 1500 + strong network of merchants of local and global brands and support over 20,000 Dash wallet users with specific education activities and sustainable promotional actions on the merchant and user side.
Our Value for the Network: Venezuela is the number one market interms of Dash adoption. That adoption was made thanks to our efforts and knowledge of the market necessities. No other team has accomplished brand partnerships such as Subway, Papa Johns, REMAX, among others. And even so we are adapting to changes we have to maintain our merchants, and the best way to do so is to keep working with the team that already have the relationship with those big brands, and knowledge of the Venezuelan market.
We have upcoming strategic affiliations that will cause a great impact in the Venezuelan market with a huge publicity for dash, because it will be the first big and recognized Supermarket Network in the country adopting Dash as a payment method.

Dash Points Strategy Video

Physical points strategically located with financial advisors that provide the necessary support on the available exchanges and the most accessible way for the acquisition of Dash. Dash teams will allow users to buy Dash in a Legal and compliant way by connecting buyers with exchanges and P2P salespeople, which will allow for people to acquire Dash and use inmediately . Through these points DCV will be creating a network that will encourage the use of Dash because through them we will be massively educating the user about Dash, where to spend it and how to buy it.

OBJECTIVE: Grow 2X transactions every month organically by leveraging the infrastructure we built in Venezuela and solving the acquire/store/spend process for Dash (Initial target 80 TXs/Day)

DASH POINTS JUSTIFICATION: The excellent results in terms of affiliation achieved a market capture of thousands of businesses that accept Dash as a payment method, but more importantly, the previous affiliation process served to publicize the need of the Venezuelan market to obtain alternative currencies (cryptocurrencies) to pay for their goods and services. However, the current purchase / sale process is unknown to ordinary citizens, that is why DASH POINTS represents the solution for all those users who need advice on buying or selling their assets in Dash.

DETAIL: Through the market segmentation carried out in previous phases, the Data Base is distributed in 8 areas of Caracas, Venezuela. These DASH POINTS will be strategically located throughout these zones in the places that allow us to have a wider range of users, with the aim of educating about the purchase-sale through the advice on the existing platforms to exchange Dash.


: Social clubs represent closed ecosystems that allow us greater control over the activities carried out, the scope and results of them.     These ecosystems will have a DASH POINT that will provide the corresponding advice on the platforms used for the purchase and sale of Dash, and the benefit of     making payments in Dash (such as discounts) as an incentive to use the currency.  Considering an ecosystem that has 6 Merchants accepting Dash as payment     method, with an average of +100 consumers per Merchant, DASH SOCIAL POINTS calculates that 10% of users complete an effective purchase cycle, resulting in     60 tx daily, operating on the days with the greatest number of users. 

: In a first stage, a point will be established by a strategic distribution of ​​the database. We are currently evaluating the possibility to locate a    DASH USER POINT in each of our Dash Zones that will return us more awareness and brand exposure.  

  As an example: Considering an average visit with high turnover of people such as a Mall, of ​​2200 people per day, we calculate a potential range of 10% in    terms of effective message transmission. This 10%, which represents a sample of 220 people, will estimate a potential download of Dash wallets (considering    the time it takes to transmit the message and download the application) of 25%, which represents 55 wallets downloaded daily. Of these 55 wallets, 10% will    make an effective purchase cycle, resulting in an estimate of 6 Tx per day incentivized per location in the DASH ZONES.  
  This is why, if we consider the Mall example we have, per zone: 
  • Bring aneffective publicity message to a total of +2,000 people per day,
  • Download 55daily wallets,
  • Achieve atransaction range of at least 6 tx per day per zone.

: To strengthen the complete transactions program and complete the effective purchase cycle (with tangible results in transactions) our negotiation strategy with the allies will be to encourage the use of Dash as a form of payment through benefits towards the user for its use, just as we did with the % discount.
Through a strategic segmentation of the DB, the plan has the following structure: Organized into 3 groups

KEY ACCOUNT: Our Top 20%. These are those stores that represent the maximum amount of Transactions, measured by both our QRCR mechanism as well as their interest and openness to participate in our Dash fairs (Both weighted in at 50%).

  · Actions: We shall visit these 400 Storesdirectly during a month at least once each store. We will also select a top 50 list in order to have monthly promotions and      marketing directly for them as well as weekly digital contacts through our messaging or social media platforms.

VITAL 70%: Are stores that are the bulk of our store network and give us great visibility, despite not getting a lot of transaction.
  · Actions: We shall contact these 1400 Stores through our phone contacts during a two-month period at least once each store.
    We will also select a top 10 list in order to have direct training and include on our promotions and marketing directly to try to make them become a top 20 store. 
BOTTOM 10%: These 200 units are stores that are not getting a lot of value from Dash, and after contacting all of them and reviewing if they are still interested, we will jointly decide if they will continue using Dash or if they will self-serve.  We will host monthly webinars and store calls for the subsets in the 70 and 10% groups in order to maintain contact with them on an invitation only approach.

The negotiations include the following points:
  · Discounts for purchases with Dash
  · Differentiated advertising in these KEY ACCOUNT points of sale, such as show cases, merchandising, among others. This KA portfolio responds to the strategic      merchants for the brand; therefore, we must take advantage of the exposure at a advertising level and the communication capacity that Dash will have when      investing in advertising in these stores, and in this way, transmitting the message of Dash
  · Negotiation for brand presence
  · Personal advice with DASH POINTS to exchange currency

The segmentation of our portfolio in DASH ZONES will allow us to focus our efforts on those businesses and strategic locations for the brand, thus achieving metrics of the success of our strategy in transactions located around Caracas.



DASH requires reaching each Venezuelan as an alternative payment and solution to the devaluation and economic crisis that Venezuela is currently going through, which is why the development of advertising campaigns will be the focus of DCV as part of its management to achieve the main objective: massive use of Dash.

JUSTIFICATION: Dash as any brand requires the investment in advertising necessary not only to generate awareness and market capitalization, but to generate a connection and subsequent loyalty to the brand. This is why the recognition of the currency as a payment method is necessary. The centralization in advertising will achieve a unified message to users and will increase the use of Dash.

SCOPE: The objective of the centralization and massification of advertising is to leave the comfort zone and carry out an effective publicity where the price - return ratio translates into greater knowledge and use; this being achieved through greater visual communication in affiliated merchants and in the different promotion events to be carried out. The objective of these campaigns will be recognition, consideration, use and consequently loyalty towards Dash as a brand.



DCV seeks to close an effectivepurchase cycle through the facilitation of acquisition, use and sale of Dash, providing everything the consumer requires:

  • The knowledge of Dash as a payment method through advertising campaigns
  • Financial advice for the purchase or sale of Dash
  • The necessary information about businesses that accepts Dash
  • The benefit of using acryptocurrency as payment method (such as discounts for its use)

However, the connection that is generated between brand-consumer is what truly translates into loyalty, and therefore in this case, in its use, which allows achieving the main objective of the project: More transactions.

JUSTIFICATION: The experiential marketing is the most effective tool to bring the brand closer to the consumer. Strengthens and establishes lasting emotional ties. Mass advertising informs about the brand, exposes us and helps us to capitalize on the market, however, it does not allow the consumer to feel and experience the benefits of the product or service, leaving aside the experience.

DETAIL: Through the developmentof a CEP platform, DCV will connect directly with the user and allow him to live the experience of using Dash. Events will be held, such as:

121 Activities: Activities in Points of Sale (Affiliated Merchants) where the brand will interact with the consumer in a real point of sale that accepts Dash as a payment method. This will allow the user to have an experience in real time, in a real trade and be able to acquire a good or a service through the use of the currency.

Dear MNOs and Dash Community,

In this opportunity the Dash Connects Venezuela team wants to thank all who voted for our proposal! As you may know, we got enough votes but there was not enough budget this cycle for us to receive funding. Nevertheless, we are excited and happy because our proposal still has one more month to go and hopefully, we will be funded during the July cycle. So now, we are setting up a crowdfunding campaign so we can accomplish our growth plans.

We understand delaying one more month might signify losing the opportunity to run this program in the Tachira club, so we do not want to wait one more month to begin our Dash points operation and maybe allow other coins to take up Dash’s space in Venezuela.

Therefore, we are adjusting to a bare minimum working plan for July in order to speed up our work and deliver results, so we can move forward while the July voting cycle takes place.

In order to enable immediate operations at a small scale, we are setting up a crowdfunding campaign so we can accomplish our July plans, our base goal is to raise 15 Dash from where we will be able to accomplish a part of the Dash connects goa schedule, which are:

- Set up a Dash Point pilot operation for a day (Evaluate and measure program)

- Organize and participate two business events during July (Support and grow Dash Venezuela ecosystem of businesses)

- Cover our essential staff salaries

I am voting YES. That said, I have been sceptical regarding "bitcoin accepting" merchants from around 2013 -2014. The same applies with "Dash accepting" merchants in many cases. At this point, I would regard the priority of simply getting Dash into the hands of a wide number of people as the main priority. Remittances. Exchanges. Localbitcoins is killing it.

We understand your question. Let me explain you the main differences.

Dash Help is a necessary call center. We are not a call center, although we provide users in site support in our Dash Points, our strategy goes along with marketing and promotion events inside our closed ecosystems so we can measure the variables and improve and our main difference is that we are going to sell users Dash Units in their first purchase to make it easier to acquire dash an spend it in the near merchants inside those ecosystems. That's the missing piece to have more transactions and is the one that is going guarantee us that real and organic transactions and not with giveaway money that cost the network a lot of money.

And of course we are working together and trying to get to work together with every team that has operations here in Venezuela.

It boggles my mind, why the Venezuela proposals always ask for huge amounts of money... look at the Iran proposal which gets along with 27 Dash per month.

Venezuela is one of the cheapest countries in the world, yet vast amounts of money are requested... strangely, it is constantly with shallow results.

I encourage you to check all of the similar proposals not only the Venezuelan ones and you would see that we are requesting a very reasonable price with a huge return for the network. It is not the same to start from the beginning than covering, maintaining and promoting a full database.

Over three months this proposal is asking for 312 Dash. This is a lot of money in Venezuela.

The local currency in Venezuela is Bolivar Soberano (BsS). Venezuela is a strictly socialist economy. This month the monthly salary that almost every Venezuelan receives is 20.000 BsS. It is not a lot of money, but people have no other choice than to get along with this salary and make ends meet.

Today, 14.05.2019, the exchange rate of 1 dollar is 5,698.00 BsS. The exchange rate of 1 Dash is 133 $. This proposal is hence asking for 236,444,208.00 BsS all together. In Venezuela this is an incredible amount of money.

With the DAO funds you are asking for you can buy 5,911 monthly salaries. Or in other words you could employ 492 workers for one whole year !!!

Your calculations are based on US dollar prices or European prices in North America or in Europe and HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH VENEZUELA.

Are you guys sure you are sitting in Venezuela and not somewhere in Miami ???

The past experiences of the Dash community in Venezuela have been very negative.

We understand your concerns. Allow me to give you some updated amounts of the Venezuelan living costs:

BsS/$ rate: 5,698.00 BsS/$
Minimum wage = 40,000 BsS = 7.02$ per month
30.000BsS/kg Meat = 5.26$/kg
8600 BsS Chicken/kg = 1.5$/kg
20.000 BsS pork/kg = 3.51$/kg
26,000 BsS for 36 eggs

The minimum wage is no reference at all to Venezuelans, because as you can see with a monthly salary you can buy 1.3 kg of meat which is absurd. Nobody can live with that, and if you want to do a world class job you need to hire qualified people and you cannot pay them the minimum wage because they can’t cover up their family expenses. It is hard to understand, I know, the economy is crazy, here in Venezuela everything you buy has a standard price in USD.

In this article, that it is from the Analysis and Documentation National Centre for Workers (CENDA), says that a family need 900USD to cover their monthly expenses, 300USD for the basic products and another 600 to cover food services and clothing. It is a very complex situation.
We are trying to be competitive in the market, but also realistic in the amount we request for staff salaries. In average (if you see our salary budget we are requesting a total of 5,620 USD for 19 people), we are requesting 300USD per employee of course not all of our staff earn the same but it is an average of the cost to the DAO, and we believe it is perfectly reasonable due the living costs here in Venezuela.
In this article you can see month by month the price of the basic food necessities of a 4-person family. That by March it was BsS702,246.24 that by that month the minimum wage was BsS18,000 which give us 39 minimum salaries to cover up only BASIC FOOD that you have to add rent, car, clothing, etc.

Day by day, Venezuela is getting more “dollarized” and if you do not fix your staff salary in USD it is not sustainable, almost every big company is paying a fixed USD salary in BsS to their employees. If you do not live here daily, you are not going to understand the crazy hyperinflation which it was of 2,680,000% ( Precisely, due the economic crisis, Dash represents a solution both for companies and citizen to protect themselves from the inflation and allow a capitalization instead of a decapitalization.

Also our whole budget it is not for salaries we have promotions, office, events, publicity our Dash Point and tx programs expenses that need to be cover and as everything is dollarized, our different suppliers also have their prices in USD
