Proposal description

DashBoost Cycle Funding
Key Concepts
  • Community Voting
  • Reduced Proposal Fee
  • Smaller Proposals
  •      Low Risk, potentially high reward
  • Quality Project Micro-Proposals
  •      MyDashWallet
  •      Spark POS
  •      Venezuela Outreach

This proposal was delayed in the cycle to hopefully ensure that we did not ask for more than is required and that funding a DashBoost Cycle would not cause another proposal to not be funded.
We will have less than 5 Dash in the Proposal Cycle Wallet after this cycle’s proposals are finalized and payments are sent out.

If funding is not achieved, DashBoost will not have a cycle next month.

Budget
  • Proposal Cycle - 70 Dash
  • Fee Refund -         5 Dash
  • Total:                   75 Dash

Cycle Information
Start Date: October 1st, 2018
End Date: October 31st, 2018
Total Available: 75 Dash (70 from this proposal, 5 remaining in wallet)
Max Per Proposal: 15 Dash

@pasta how come you have not provided any user metrics or proposal metrics.

And voter participation metrics

This proposal has to be the least detailed proposal in recent times.

What is the total amount of Dash that Boost paid out to proposals?
And what is the total amount of Dash that Boost has received from the treasury?
I'm trying to understand how much is the overhead of Dash Boost.
Reply

The only overhead is a one dash fee which is used to fund continued bug fixing and administration.

All 70 Dash recieved will go to proposal owners.

We received 150 Dash for creation of the platform.

We will have paid out ~200 Dash.

That is what we need to think about for Dash Nexus. There are 5 Dash being burned on every proposal. We should find a way to harness some of that so Nexus can become self sustainable like you guys are.

How were you able to pay out 200 Dash after receiving only 150 Dash?
I must have misunderstood something.
Before this proposal, what is the total amount you received and the total amount your paid out?
Reply
2 points,5 years ago
The 200 was received from a community donation and was used exclusively on proposals. The 150 was used to fund the creation of the platform.

Definite yes. Limited resources spark creativity, ingenuity and innovation. I believe Dash Boost could be the birth place for some of Dash's greatest innovations in the years to come. We need to ensure the people with the greatest innovative minds have a chance to get a foothold to contribute their talent and creativity and inventions to DASH. Dash Boost can provide the seed capital to help those innovators prove their concepts and support them in their early stages.

Absolutely YES!

I would prefer to see 75 Dash for 6 months, so we can get you guys voted up and sustain Dashboost for the next 6 months.

So many great small projects are being funded through dashboost platform.
Also, there are a lot of people involved with Dash outreach because of dashboost.

To all MN. You can still vote at Dashboost. This Dash will still go to proposal owners. This is really a great project, I encourage you all to get involved!

Thanks for your opinion, as the situation in regards to GC should be being resolved in the next couple of months we want to remain flexible. Once all issues are resolved we will start doing longer term proposals.

This is seriously all the text of your proposal?

No historical record showing how past funds were spent?
No reasoning as to why you should be funded?
No voter participation metrics?
No reasoning as to why you'd consider your short list to be "successes"?
No comment regarding the proposal mandate made about your organization last cycle to release some funding to someone?

Sorry, that's a "no" from me.

You can go to Dashboost and see for yourself, lots of activity going on there, really to much to talk about.

Personally as MNO I stay away from Dashboost I want others with smaller holders to be active there, it an important place and roll sort of incubator, start up to prop. There have be already quit a few interesting things happening there

MNOs have a lot of proposals they have to read and a lot of information they need to process, because of that I try to keep it as condensed as possible. As the concept of DashBoost has already been approved and understood by MNOs it seems redundant to go into great depth again about certain areas.

You can see all of the previous proposals, and which ones passed here: https://dashboost.org/proposals/past/all/votes
You can see cycle reports here: https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/dashboost-official-launch.36297/
DashBoost currently has 242 users with 42579 registered votes

In regards to the initially funds we received, the DashWatch reports contain financial information, all funds were paid (in dash) in order to cover development and administration after the price declined 70+% before we had all funds released from escrow.

Those proposals which I mentioned have had a large effect throughout the community and as such I saw it fit to see them as highlights of what the platform can do.

In regards to the mandate, Green Candle is out of communication. I sent them an email on September 1st and they have not responded to us. Their year end is supposed to be finalized within the next month to my knowledge. After which, DashWatch and myself will attempt to again resolve the situation.

If you have any other questions, I'd be happy to answer them.
