Update:  I dont need to wait for the payout to get started, as soon as I see enough YES votes I will lay out the program fee myself.

Hey All!

After speaking to many in the DASH community and business development team, I've decided to make a proposal and I'm excited to announce the creation of the DASHPayCard! In addition, I will be working to integrate DASH into Payza for a fiat to DASH gateway.

(This may not be the final design, but the one I'm working with. If you can create a better one please message me!)

How it Works
I've partnered with Payza.com to launch this card. In 2014 I partnered with them to add direct Bitcoin buying/selling - https://www.coindesk.com/payza-launches-bitcoin-buying-consumers-190-countries/The card will be available to residents of 106 countries, including the USA. It will be issued by a USA bank and have a chip and pin. You can have the card denominated in USD, EUR, and others.I've purchased DASHPayCard.com and I will build and maintain the project. To purchase the card, you will create an account, get verified through KYC and then purchase. The card itself will cost between $10-$20 and the fee's to use the card will be low. I'll update this thread when I have more information.

Direct Integration for fiat / Dash
I will work with the Payza development team to integrate the ability to sell DASH onto the card and buy DASH as well. Payza supports hundreds of countries and has local payment options like credit card, bank transfer, ect. Now everyone can buy DASH using any of these payment methods directly on their account.

https://image.ibb.co/daebQa/Payza_Bitcoin_Deposit_21.png

Right now, where it says Bitcoin there will be another option for DASH.It will be on Add Funds and Withdraw Funds

Profit Sharing to lower fees

We could just use the funds from the profit share to make the fees lower. I will negotiate the rev share and then use that to make the card price and fees as cheap as possible

https://image.ibb.co/g5yWrF/Presentation_Slide.jpg

Proposal Terms

I'm asking for 450 DASH which will cover a 3 month budget
The costs will cover the following:-
- Initial 1 time card program fee is 150 DASH
- Development costs and maintenance 75 DASH per month.
- Customer support is 25 DASH per month

I estimate that I can get the cards into your hands in 3 months.

After that, I can do a 6 months to 1 year proposal for program maintenance.- I will also provide weekly status updates.

EDIT: Someone asked how the funds will be spent:

Right now, the price of dash calculates this around $40k USD. The program fee is roughly 15k to start and Im trying to negotiate with a higher upfront payment to keep the costs and fees associated with the cards as low as possible. Payza.com is the company managing the program with me. Im hiring a developer to build out DashPayCard.com to have a full backend and a front end dev and designer as well. Also, integrating DASH to be able to fund the card itself and withdraw DASHh into fiat. At card launch, you will be able to login to Payza.com and do all those things, which I estimate about 3 months of work. All in all, as long as I still to my own budget, my compensation over the 3 month period is $2,500 per month. - I will follow this budget, if the price of DASH appreciates significantly I can use the funds to keep the costs of the cards as low as possible. Would be cool if we can make the first few hundred cards free! - Charlie

Who am I?

I co-founded and was CEO if Bitinstant, one of the earliest and largest Bitcoin companies in 2012, we handled 30% of all BTC volume per day. My first company DailyCheckout I sold when I was in college. After that I went to found the Bitcoin Foundation and was its Vice Chairman. Now I handle biz dev to Changelly.com and investor in Dash :) Here is my wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlie_Shrem

Looking for your feedback!

The only thing that stands out is the $1/purchase in-store.
That will keep it from being used for small purchases.
I wish he went with a %.
Oh well, I will probably still use it for >$30 purchases.

It's also a great option for purchasing/selling DASH for those that don't want to deal with an exchange, and also for making online purchases the fee is nada.

Cheers

What's happened to the card? So many people talk the talk but when it comes down to it is nothing more than a show and a scam.

Hi, when can I purchase a card? What was the timeline for product to market with this proposal?

Where is the card? Where are the "weekly" updates? Where is Charlie Shrem?

This is starting to look very, very bad.

I made this comment on the main forum in relation to the recent funding of an upcoming commercial. I think it is relevant to post it here so Charlie can think on it as well...

"After I thought about it yesterday, one idea came to mind, which was to make this commercial specifically to highlight the upcoming integration with Payza.

If we shell out $20,000 on a commercial, perhaps Payza could ensure it gets seen by their millions of users once the integration with Dash is complete.

Payza users are definitely Dash's primary target audience and we would get more bang for our buck on this new integration if it was properly and professionally promoted by Payza.

Payza may also be more willing to highlight the integration with Dash if our commercial quality is "professional" and makes both Dash and Payza look good and more advanced than their competitors."

Why advertise a product if it isn't ready yet? That is just stupid///

Everyone needs to know that when we start paying with cards, that currency will hit the stock market again. Then its value will fall drastically. You have to make it easy for you to buy this currency through your wallet just as the blockchain does.

Voting yes because we need a good debit card and because Charlie is a crypto OG and I am glad to have him on board dash.

I commented on this last week when this launched so I am wishing you the best of luck with this 1st DASH project Charlie!

I am preparing an article today for this to publish. I wanted to give this a few days to simmer and unfold and things work out a bit.

Anyone wishing to add input or give a quote, or info, can message myself -- or Charlie since it is his project and he has my contact info. He should be able to vet or review anything first, that is fair.

Have a great week everyone. Barry.

I'm totally in favor of this, but in the interest of full disclosure, Charlie, could you please tell us how the approximately 40k usd is being spent? Also Charlie, could you tell us how you are being compensated in this deal for your time and effort? There has to be something in this deal for you other than just an appreciating Dash.

I'm wondering which company is receiving the one-time card fee and which people will receive the development costs. Do you think it might be appropriate to quote the costs in dollars as well as dash? Also, if Dash were to appreciate significantly what will you do with the extra funds? I assume in the opposite situation where Dash depreciated significantly, you would require more funding.

Cards free for MN voters it's a perk that i don't think it could be considered as bribing :D Would be great

Apart from the obvious possible misunderstanding, it makes perfect sense to give the cards to who has a lot of dash to spend to spread the word. It's a pretty basic mktg technique.

I am happily voting yes

I think that the real difference will be done by:

- Lower fee conversion (competitors' are insane, or even if in the 0,5% ball park they "add" other hidden fees)
- On-the-fly change vs a suitable exchange
- Very low yearly/fixed costs

I think that most of the other Cards adopted by dash are either failing or not winning for the above reasons - 100$ in dash (or in €) becoming something like 95$ in the end. It's a huge cut.

Hope this will change the rules!

i would only vote yes , if Panza considers charging low fees for Dash Deposits .because if fees are to high , why would i use it ? same with ShakePay.co , since they raised fees to deposit Dash i stopped using it . Makes no sense you make a proposal to network, it passes and still charge high fees to deposit Dash.
what are the available currencies ? just EURO and USD ?

An easy yes vote! Thanks for setting this up and considering DASH as a viable platform.

To all the MN owners, I've read the discussion about rebates and how any profit sharing could go to the masternodes, miners, or Evo saving accounts. Sounds difficult to implement, and another source of conflict. Someone will feel that they didn't get their fair share no matter what distribution percentage is created.

I strongly feel that any rebates should go directly back to the card holder to compete with credit cards that offer cash/rebates/rewards that use them. I have a debit card with my checking account, but I NEVER use it because there is no bonus involved.

The consumers should be benefiting from this, not the network! Just my 2 Duffs. :)

Impressive I must say, but i have found changelly to be quite expensive. I appreciate your proposal is with payza, however wave crest may have been a viable option especially since they already work with many BTC organisations, anyway all the best.
