- “I can definitely see us linking to DASH Academy courses directly from our Poker World videos.” –JonathanLevy

MNO Testimonials: Thanks to the many MNOs that are actively supporting this proposal and providing input...

effective.” –SolarGuy
- “Badly needed... a true no brainer, professionally presented, well organized, and supported by the MNOs.” –viamontelane

Hi!
This is Matt from Dash Watch. While working on our cost data I noticed that you were paid in April for your previous proposal “Dash-Academy” running from March through May 2018 (https://www.dashcentral.org/p/DASH-Academy.) Did you notice that? It took me some time to figure this out because that proposal was not approved according to our data.

41 Dash was paid out in the April 3rd superblock to the address Xu6LGY3uYTY3c9tEayB7pJAfAWJff86BQJ https://explorer.dash.org/address/Xu6LGY3uYTY3c9tEayB7pJAfAWJff86BQJ

Hi Matt. I don't recall seeing that, but I'll take a look...

Do you have any plans to migrate away from youtube in the future?

Hi Stone. Since these will be interactive elearning courses, we'll be hosting outside of YouTube. However, we do plan to post some "teaser" versions of each course on YouTube to drive traffic to the courses. Does that make sense? thanks

Hi All – The DASH Academy team is currently considering what topics our next few on-demand courses (like this one: https://tinyurl.com/DashAcademy) should address. The general consensus seems to be that we should be addressing the Merchant audience first – discussing DASH’s many benefits and how merchants can go about accepting DASH.
Our questions for the DASH Community:
1. Do you agree that the Merchant audience is the highest priority for now?
2. What specific topics would you like to see us addressing with these interactive videos?
3. Is there anyone that you recommend we interview as an expert in these topics when building the content?
Thanks to those that have already provided input and helped us with our first on-demand course (which will roll-out for review soon). DASH Academy courses are designed to benefit the entire community. You input is critical to this process.
Thanks! Steve@DashAcademy.com

1. Yes, I agree that they are, but the other component of that is customers. It's not enough to merely integrate Dash merchants if people aren't going to use Dash at their places of business, so it's important for Dash to emphasize its benefits not only to merchants but to their customers as well. Take for example the Alt36 project we're funding, not only do the merchants in the Cannabis industry need a solution like Dash due to the unique challenges they face, but it works way easier for their customers who--even in states where Cannabis is legal--might want a better, faster, safer, more private way of paying for goods and services. So while I realize marketing and the like are somewhat beyond the scope of your project, whatever you can do to encourage merchants to incentivize their customers to use Dash, the better.

2. A lot of the topics I would want to see covered are contingent on some projects that are still in flux (PoS Systems, Integrations, etc), but I would love to see a full walkthrough for merchants from blank slate to PoS integration to exchange integration so that merchants had a viable pathway to accept Dash but also easily convert it to fiat currency if their business model requires it.

3. There are a number of projects that are working on PoS solutions (Alt36, KuvaCash, AnyPay, etc), so they'd probably be people to talk to. People like @thedesertlynx who use Dash every day in their day-to-day life and interface with Dash-accepting PoS systems and merchants would also be worthwhile to consult too to get the other side of the counter's perspective on what prospective Dash customers need to know.

This proposal passed on the last budget with a clear number of votes but 2 huge core projects swallowed up the budget before this one went through.

MNO we need to vote early on this one.

We can leverage this interactive DASH training across all our other DASH projects. One of the common complaints from online merchants that want to accept DASH is they don't know how to get started. Steve, the lead on this project will research and create training on how to do this if his project goes through. That means we can get more merchants using DASH - isn't that what we want?

The DASH HELP Venezuela Team led by Alejandro has also stated he will translate the training into Spanish so we can leverage this out across all the DASH Venezuela projects, conferences and promotions. We need these training materials. MNO vote early. This project is too valuable for the entire DASH network and all the projects we are running.

YES Definitely

No offence, but I honestly want to know why we would do this before Evolution is out? Will you update it (on your dime) when Evolution comes out? Thanks for info, I honestly don't mean to be blunt, I just know I sound that way all the time (ducks)

Great question. There is so much to cover - pre-Evolution and even more once it is out . This initial phase will help to get everything in place (not just the courses, but the associated platform, the channels, etc.) so that we are rolling and ready to quickly address all that Evolution will bring to DASH. Thanks for the question.

This should have passed last cycle, and it's inexcusable if it doesn't pass this cycle. This is very reasonably priced, very clear value to the network on its own, and limitless reuse value in terms of other projects. No other cryptocurrency has this, and with clear, professional, thorough, and attractive educational materials like this, we could create a whole slew of new users (and better, more active extant users) for years to come. Steve has already commented before on his willingness to continue producing content in future proposals for future versions of Dash and Evolution. I, for one, would like him and his company to be a part of the Dash Ecosystem going forward. If we want mass adoption, this is the kind of thing we need to reach people who aren't specifically techies.

The reason I invested in DASH was due to Amanda B. Johnson's DASH school series. For the first time I could understand what crypto was about. Quality education is important for uptake of DASH and Amanda proved that to me. What I needed was something like this training when I was starting out, it would have saved me a lot of trouble and I would have felt confident much earlier on buying DASH. This team are making the source course files open and available for the DASH community projects to adapt into their own projects which means we can leverage this training on many other projects. This is going to lead to a much greater ROI e.g. DASH HELP Venezuela team have already said they want to translate this training into Spanish and host them on their DashHelpMe.org website. If we have this training they would be able to do this with very little effort since the work designing and building the courses has been done. There will also be other projects in other languages that would also benefit from translating these courses. By translating to Spanish we can leverage the training to the entire speaking Spanish world, Venezuela and Columbia and Mexico being at the top of the list but there are other Spanish speaking countries that would also benefit. After all the DASH Caracas events there could be a link to the training in Spanish to help people who attended the conferences learn how to get started with DASH. When we consider the price of this job we need to also consider how much we can leverage this training across all our other projects.

I went to their website to checkout the team on this proposal and they are specialists in creating high quality training. This gives us confidence we can expect a high quality product. I saw some big brand names they had done work with which was reassuring. High quality training will transfer trust to anyone new to DASH, particularly merchants who don't know how to start accepting DASH as a payment method. Merchants also want to feel confident there is professional support behind the DASH product which it looks like this training will provide. This type of training will give the message that DASH is not just about the technology we are also about customer care.

People can only use what they understand. No other crypto has this high level quality training and it will make DASH stand out from the rest.

Absolutely YES

Educational proposals should be one of the priorities for Dash, we need to teach people. The educational content this proposal will add a lot of value since they can be translated and share to many communities around the globe (e.g.. we will do this at our website and social media - Dash Help Venezuela)

Marketing will atrack people, education will stick them to Dash!

Best of luck Steve.
