Proposal description

Part 1: Conferences

In April, Daria plans to attend two major industry events.

First is Money20/20 Asia in Bangkok. This is a well-established global conference brand, and the Asia edition brings together leaders from Web3, fintech, payments, and companies operating at the intersection of Web2 and Web3. It is a strong mix of traditional finance and emerging infrastructure.

Right now, it is strategically important for Dash to focus on Asia. In Europe, regulatory pressure around privacy and anonymous payments continues to increase. Asia offers broader opportunities, especially in fintech and crypto adoption. Being present in this region supports Dash’s long-term positioning.

What do we need?
2000$

The second key event is Token2049 in Dubai. This is one of the most significant Web3 events of the year. It is not only a conference but a full week of side events, private gatherings, and ecosystem meetups. The real networking often happens around the main conference, not just on stage.

What do we need?
4000$

As usual, Daria will attend in Dash merchandise, actively visiting booths, joining side events, networking, and introducing Dash to potential partners. She will also reconnect with platforms where Dash is already integrated but where co-marketing is needed so users are aware that Dash is available.
We’re also keeping a table of major crypto and Web3 conferences - feel free to take a look.

Networking and business development results from Consensus Hong Kong. The table shows specific outcomes. For instance, Dash is currently in the final stages of agreeing with Wirex to integrate Dash without any fees. Other cases and ongoing negotiations are reflected in the table.

At these conferences, the focus is twofold. First, identifying new partners. Second, strengthening relationships with existing integrations and negotiating co-marketing initiatives. This can include joint campaigns, competitions, or prize distributions in Dash to activate users.

Daria also aims to give interviews on site or secure future speaking opportunities. For example, Joel and Daria were invited to Wenaltseason podcast.

A simple but effective practice has been taking photos with company representatives during conferences. This often leads to them posting the photos on their own social media, tagging @DashPay and mentioning Dash in their content. As a result, Dash receives additional organic exposure through their audience. This creates secondary visibility without additional marketing costs. Here is one example

At the moment, the situation around Dubai is somewhat uncertain. If Token2049 in Dubai does not materialize for any reason, the allocated budget will be redirected to another major conference in Japan or Korea.

It is important to purchase both conference tickets and flights in advance. Early booking typically reduces costs by up to half. For this reason, the budget is requested in advance to secure more favorable pricing and use the funds efficiently.

Part 2: Post-Conference Business Development

The work does not end with the conference itself.
After the event, the real follow-up begins. All calls need to be scheduled, agreements clarified, and next steps formalized.

We create dedicated chats including Joel and the representatives of the companies we met, ensuring communication continues smoothly. We help coordinate discussions, move negotiations forward, and support alignment on partnerships and potential integrations.

Part 3: Local Community Development

Work continues not only at the global level but also within local communities.

With representatives from the Chinese-speaking community, a WeChat group has been established. Daria supports them by sharing guidance on Dash’s goals, strategic positioning, and which partners or ecosystems are most relevant to connect with. These representatives are planning to attend conferences at their own expense, as they are Dash holders and are genuinely motivated to support the project’s growth.

A new contact has also emerged in Kazakhstan, Germany and Turkey, and activities are being planned there as well.

At the same time, Daria actively supports the development of the Russian-speaking Dash community. Bi-weekly live sessions in Russian with Pshenmic have been launched to discuss Dash updates, technology, governance, and ecosystem developments.

YouTube #2

Going forward, the plan is not only to host these sessions internally but also to invite guest speakers. There is already interest from service partners to participate in joint meetups. These partners will also promote the sessions to their own audiences, helping bring new users and attention to Dash.

Additionally, Daria and Yarik support the distribution of key announcements and updates requested by Joel across all local communities. While each Telegram group may not be large individually, collectively they represent an important and growing network. Every follower matters.

Part 4: DevRel

We are actively promoting Pshenmic as a technical speaker representing Dash.

Most likely, his participation at Blockchain Forum has been secured without speaker fees. This increases Dash’s technical visibility at industry events without additional budget.

The ITMO University conference originated from connections Daria established in Dubai during previous conferences. She met the representatives there and agreed on organizing this activity, which was supported by a separate proposal last month. Daria is also actively assisting with preparation of the promo content and presentation materials for the speaker.

The focus remains on positioning Dash not only as digital cash, but also as a serious technical infrastructure (Dash Platform) with active developers and real innovation behind it.

How much money do we need in total?
Conference #1, Conference #2, Labor Costs
2000 + 4000 + 3000 = 9000$ / 265 DASH

This will cover parts 1, 2, 3, and 4.

Please note that we did not request a budget for February and continued operating using funds carried over from previous months, which increased in value due to the price growth.

Hi everyone,

We’ve got a great opportunity!

When Dasha was at a conference in Bangkok, she met a team from Malaysia (https://www.ccacc.io/). They just reached out saying their partner university (https://www.nottingham.edu.my/) (University of Nottingham Malaysia) is hosting a hackathon and they’re offering Dash a dedicated track.

The funding required is very small - mostly just for the prize pool, and the organizational fee is minimal. Another track will be run by Sui, which is great and adds credibility to the event. The trip to Dubai for Token 2049 is cancelled, so the funds from the conference will go toward organizing the hackathon (the budget will be enough to cover the organization, the prize pool, and Dasha’s flight).

Dasha is happy to organize the Dash track. We would only need a little time from our developers to run a short online workshop on Dash Platform and answer student questions.

For us, this is a great way to test how students interact with our documentation and platform, see what questions they ask, and understand what needs improvement. The hackathon is not too big, which makes it a good test before running larger Dash hackathons later.

Dasha lives nearby, so she can fly to the final demo day, present the prizes, and meet the teams in person. It will also be a good opportunity to build relationships with the Web3 community in Malaysia.

I have been very impressed with Dasha and team's work, and they make my job easier, having led to some significant onboardings such as AEON Pay. Definitely worth continuing to fund in my personal opinion.

Are you sure people are actually going to attend Dubai in April in any significant numbers?

First we wrote that if the Dubai conference does not take place we will redirect the funds to the next suitable conference. Suitable conferences are taking place in Japan, Korea, and Vietnam. They are scheduled for April or early May, so we will need to prepare for them as well.

The organizers in Dubai said they will give a final update about the conference in two weeks.
