This is a cross-post from the Dash Forum and cooperation with Dmitriy Baimuratov!

First version is ready.

In short:
Integration of BITCOIN AND DASH into the brick-and-mortar business, starting with restaurants. Integration will be massive as we partner with biggest software provider for retail payment terminals.  ï»¿

Key points:

 • Business integration into retail sector
 • Partnership with the largest software provider for retail merchants in Ukraine.
 • 255 Dash total (85 Dash/month)
 • 3 months proposal (working model may appear earlier)
Problem:

Cryptocurrency world is waiting for a shift – a shift in the attitude, in how we treat this technology. Lets take a
glance at how do people actually see a crypto now:

 1. Investors and startups see it as an unbelievable and completely new technology with enormous potential. Just like the Internet 20 years ago.
 2. Traders and speculators see crypto as high- risk financial instrument, which is capable of making 1000% ROI
 3. Geeks and programmers see it as cool new software for creating something new, something that haven’t been seen before.
 4. Normal people see nothing. They just don’t get it. They can’t even see where to use it. They don’t consider cryptocurrency as money.
Unfortunately nobody has ever done anything in this field. So the goal of our team is to
change this status quo.

Our solution:

Our solution is to allow restaurants and other merchants to start accepting cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, Dash ) without
dealing with all the complexity of cryptocurrency and it's unlawful use.

All of the cryptocurrency transactions with the restaurants will be processed by our service through API and official
payment software

In fact, merchants wouldn’t have to deal with cryptocurrency at all. They will receive fiat money on their bank account.
That’s a lot easier to make legal and transparent for taxation in Ukraine.

We're starting to work on our software side of this integration right now in order to make it live as soon, as
possible.

About team:

Our team are experts in programming, cryptocurrency and Blockchain technologies, trading, journalism and law. We have wide connections with owners of businesses in different sectors that help to make big decisions faster.

Also we have a working cryptocurrency exchange fork.sale (https://fork.sale/) , news source on cryptocurrency fork.land (https://fork.land/) and Ukrainian DASH community website Dash.com.ua. (https://dash.com.ua/)

On this proposal we've decided to cooperate with Dmitriy Baimuratov (aka @dmitriybtc) and invited him to our team. It's better to work for the cryptocurrency sake together:)

Recently we held a few meet-ups about Dash and cryptocurrency in general in Zhytomyr and Kiev.

Partnerships:

 • Oleksandr Kurinnyi – CEO of AxxonSoft (https://www.axxonsoft.com/) with 10 years of experience in video surveillance and security systems.
 • Michail Reznichenko – CEO of Profit Solutions (https://profit.com.ua/) with 12 years of experience in creation, implementation and maintenance of software and hardware solutions for HoReCa (food service) industry.
 • Owners of Givi Rubenshteyn and Pasteteca (https://pastateca.com.ua/?lang=en) – 2 big restaurant networks of Italian and Georgian cuisine in Kiev.
 • More updates on the partnerships in the future
Updates:
 • All of the partnerships announcements will be posted on Ukrainian news resource fork.land, on twitter with hashtag #NowAcceptingDash, on forum and Dash Central
 • All of the updates of our process will be posted on my blog, on forum and Dash Central
 • There will be created a map, photos and videos of places that will start accepting Dash
What it makes for DASH:
 • Real transactions on the network, not just trading and speculation. People will finally have a chance to pay for food and other offline services with Dash.
 • More credibility to the Dash as the best crypto.
 • The software we'll provide can be incorporated and used in other payment networks, not only on Ukrainian market.
 • This integration prepares DASH network to wide usage before the Evolution.
Dash-exclusive features:
 • stickers "Dash is accepted here" in front of the restaurant
 • each table will have Dash-exclusive booklets
 • waiters will have T-shirts with qr-codes for accepting Dash only
 • we'll hold Dash meetups in those restaurant and accept Dash only
The budget:

1) Development:
 • $10 000 – Cost of integration with ProfitSolutions network so that a “pay by crypto option” would be added to official software update.
 • $5000 – developer’s salary.
2) Integration
 • $10 000 – on hardware for cryptocurrency operations (iPads or tablets), contracts with restaurants, training the staff.
3) Reimbursement - 5 Dash

TOTAL:  $25 500 or 255 DASH split into three months

Long-term vision:

Since our team has very good connections with various types of business owners, we can easily see this integration successful. BUT people are not that interested in using or integrating crypto right now. So we need to give them the most convenient solution – provide tablets, integrate and
automatically update. It’s just the first step so it’s extremely important.

After successfully integrating this pilot version, we can think about further expansion in all sorts of retail businesses, since the software provider we’ve partnered with (Profit Solutions) covers 80% of all of the available terminals that deal with payment systems for retail in Ukraine.
@akhavr@alex-ru and all 60 people, who attended our meet-ups, can confirm our identities.

BIG UPDATE: Many members of the community stressed on the need for some exclusiveness for DASH, which is fair, but, unfortunatelly impossible. HOWEVER, @troyDASH gave some good compromise on this decision: we will integrate DASH and Bitcoin:)
No other alt-coins. This must help us to maintain a healthy payment infrastructure and DASH's exclusive opportunity for this integration

Consider voting "YES" if you want DASH to be integrated into retail economy:)

Updates:

1) The API of our processing center for Bitcoin was developed and tested on
demo data.
Here's a link to the actual API with descriptions, methods and examples ofits usage.

2) The API for Dash is in the process of development.

3) A documentation for using an API was given to Profit Solutions.

4) The creation of software module that will work with our API is in the process
of development from Profit Solutions side. The approximate time of response
from them is 2-3 weeks (late June - early July).

5) Legal contract was composed and is in the process of evaluation by Givi
Rubenshteyn and Pasteteca. The approximate time of response is the end of this
week.

6) The first version of Dash-branded flyers were created. Dash-branded banners are in the process of development.

7) UPDATE: the system is up and running. We are testing it. Public tests are coming on weeks

Can you clarify how your exchange and your POS integration proposes to comply with the 4th EU AML directive [http://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/PDF/?uri=OJ:JOL_2015_141_R_0003&from=ES] that brings with it lots of regulations and requirements and penalties and fines.

Also, the EU commission commented and explicitly states that virtual currency exchanges are within scope. [http://europa.eu/rapid/press-release_MEMO-16-2381_en.htm]
--
How can virtual currencies be used to finance terrorism and what can we do to prevent this?

Banks and payment institutions fall under the scope of the Fourth AML Directive, which requires them to comply with specific rules, such as verifying customers’ identity and monitoring financial transactions. Virtual currency operators were initially not included in the scope of the Directive.

Virtual currencies are developing quickly and are an example of digital innovation. However, at the same time, there is a risk that virtual currencies could be used by terrorist organisations to circumvent the traditional financial system and conceal financial transactions as these can be carried out in an anonymous manner.

That is why the Commission proposes to bring virtual currency exchange platforms and custodian wallet providers under the scope of the Fourth AMLD, in order to help identify users who trade in virtual currencies. Bringing these two actors under the Fourth AMLD and making them "obliged entities" will ensure better controls, ensuring that they apply customer due diligence and contribute to preventing money laundering and terrorist financing.
--

I do understand that Ukraine is (not yet) in the EU but AML regulations are in place throughout the world, and Ukraine as a prospective member of the EU will want to show its willingness and ability to comply with EU directives.

How will you tackle compliance with the regulations?

Dear @Benglian,

Please note that despite the fact that Ukraine is not an EU member, it has been demonstrating its willingness to implement EU directives into national legislation. Directive 2015/849 was not an exception, and I am hereby quoting the Order No 1407-p of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 30 December 2015: "Implementation of the EU Directive 2015/849 of European Parliament and of the Council on the prevention of money laundering and fight against terrorism into national legislation, amending Regulation (EC) 648/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council and abolishing Directive 2005/60 / EC of the European Parliament and of the Council and Directive 2006/70 / EC of the Council and of the Commission".

Because our activities fully comply with the legislation of Ukraine, we, therefore, see no obstacle in complying with the above mentioned Directive.

What part of " We are being Scammed" are we finding confusing? This is the same guy that we are paying $2,000/month to travel the country and give weekly key note speeches. He is not doing that. He went to a steemit meeting in April. Now he is using the money we gave him to create more proposals and get more money for more nonproformance. WAKE UP!

I would side with you on this one. It is worrying how easy it appears to be to convince DASH treasury to part with funds.

After looking at @Biltong 's Evaluator Guidelines [https://goo.gl/bIydYX] which include the completion of a Project Proposal template [https://dashpay.atlassian.net/wiki/download/attachments/31326281/Dash%20Project%20Proposal%20Template%20v1.0.docx?version=1&modificationDate=1457686874336&cacheVersion=1&api=v2] I will offer the following assessment on this proposal:

This Proposal gets a rating of 18%

Proposal Presentation 1/2
Character 2/5
Responsiveness to Template format 0/5
Experience 3/10
Samples of work 2/10
Technical expertise 1/10
Risk vs. Reward 2/15
Bonus Points 0
Total Score 11/60

This proposal is currently passing nonetheless...

I absolutely love the @Biltong s system for evaluation! I think it's genuinely crucial:)

Is exactly this evaluation by some committee? Was this based on opinions of a group of people?
As far as I see, It's you subjective and, somehow, biased opinion:)

I suppose you should read his proposal more carefully, as it's been discussed that he is not supposed to do speeches anymore. Instead, we are making something a lot more interesting:)

I suppose you haven't read our update (https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/budget-proposal-dash-cryptocurrency-conferences-throughout-ukraine.13544/).

If you did, you could find that together with slava_m and our team we've switched from weekly meetups to monthly conferences. The reason for that is because originally I thought I will be doing meetups by myself, and it was okay at first but then I was offered to work on bigger blockchain-related projects so the frequency have changed.

This month we're going to make another meetup, we're developing new website to show all of the previous meetups and the future once.

Besides, I'm not using Dash that I received to launch new proposals. We've spent company's money to post this proposal.

And I haven't traveled all of this time (as you stated) because I didn't have time for that.

I discuss the merits of this proposal in some detail at https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/pre-proposal-business-integration-into-retail-sector.14808/page-2#post-127487

TL;DR As a Payments professional, I am not in favour of it.

I read in this article that bitcoin payments will be instant as well. This means you will pay for any double spends people will do ?
Reply
0 points,7 years ago
In your video you said you take risks because you do payment instantly, but DASH instant sent is no risk to you, only bitcoin has that risk. Maybe some wallets such as Jax don't offer instant sent, but a problem Jax needs to solve not DASH.
Reply

Actually that's a problem for DASH, cause it doesn't have an iOS wallet.

I like the idea . but , i also have the feeling that DASH needs to launch evolution first before starting all this integration with restaurants etc.
Trying to get mass user adoption without evolution ... hard .
My personal opinion .

I agree with node_to_a_Master, if DASH is paying for this integration, there needs to be exclusive rights to the technology for DASH. Funding this and having other currencies included would provide little benefit to the DASH community, but it would help crypto in general. For DASH to take on this risk, there needs to be a ROI the DASH treasury's investment. Can you add to the proposal a commitment for a DASH exclusive period of 2 years where your integration into restaurants and others will only have the DASH support and hopefully DASH labels for the front of their shops.

I support this with DASH and bitcoin, and more importantly is the stickers and booklets about DASH payments. This work will greatly benefit DASH in generating grass roots interest in the currency. While this will also benefit bitcoin, there is no getting around interest in bitcoin. DASH's future is also bound to its success. I'll vote yes on this proposal, and it would be nice as a follow-up to see pictures of the restaurants and people using DASH to pay for their meals on youtube. Yes for me on your proposal given the changes.

Currently most of the people have no idea what Bitcoin is, and giving them opportunity to pay only in Dash will be quite challenging.

However Dash will benefit a lot from this integration:
- we'll make stickers "Dash is accepted here" in front of the restaurant
- each table will have Dash-exclusive booklets
- waiters will have T-shirts with qr-codes for accepting Dash only
- we'll hold Dash meetups in those restaurant and accept Dash only

So as you can see, despite of the fact that those places will accept more than just Dash, there will be a lot of specific actions that can be performed by using Dash, and not the other crypto.

We really want to be Dash exclusive today but at the current moment it's not possible because of people's lack of knowledge of cryptocurrency in general.

If a PayPal had accepted only Japanese yen, when they were launching it, we would end up without that payment system at all.
See, we need a universal solution for a cryptocurrency payment system just to get more people involved in our ecosystem. That's a crucial step and no one has done anything like this. You can't make people pay in Dollars, if they are still using gold. You have to educate, you have to teach, you have to draw them in first. Don't be jealous of other crypto. We are all in the same boat:)

I'm sure that over time DASH is going to be the only "digital cash" of new era, because it's the most competitive one for this purpose. Thank you, Evan Duffield and all the core team developers, you've created an amazing cryptocurrency, I'd say a masterpiece.
SO LET'S MAKE IT REAL. LET'S MAKE IT WORK, AS IT'S DESIGNED TO!

Make it a DASH exclusive(well atleast for period ), and you'll have my votes, I don't feel like paying for bitcoin's and other currency's lunch anymore.

Further more a DASH only would be best as DASH is the only credible crypto-currency with instant transaction.s

I read it
Don't be jealous of other crypto. We are all in the same boat
It's nothing to do with that, DASH is paying for the integration, meanwhile, bitcoin is still the most know and used currency, and with it's current full blocks, it will deliver more and more bad experiences, this will reflect badly on DASH as well.

Sure their are very few people that heard of DASH, in comparison to bitcoin, but that just one more hurdle, even if people don't use it they will talk about it. Plenty of conversations. I would think "So what is DASH ? why DASH and why no bitcoin ?, hu really ? bitcoin is not instant but DASH is ?

Question how can you think about implementing crypto currency's that do not have instant sent ?
Reply
1 point,7 years ago
People will start talking about Dash anyways because all of booklets and other things will be branded with Dash logo exclusively. They will be interested in what is this thing and that alone can bring the awareness for this cryptocurrency.

I suppose those who know something about crypto have already heard about Dash and know its benefits. At the same time all of the rest - 99.9999% have no idea what even cryptocurrency is so we have to educate them.

That's why we're going to make Dash dedicated meetups in those places and show people the benefits of Dash specifically by using it to buy some food for instance.

But still we cannot avoid Bitcoin 100%, at least for some time. Over time when it gets enough momentum, we can think about using only Dash.

In any case, we're offering real transactions on the network to pay for real things offline, not just trading as most of the crypto exist right now.

Well, the technicalities might be a little hard to check, but I see something thats interesting and I think Ukraine should be treated as an opportunity. From far away in USA it may seem less, but its a huge country and it feels at risk, so it is wide open as an opportunity in my opinion. I think there is enough here to warrant a yes.
