This is the best bang for the buck of all the proposals. Note:

1. He put up his own money to get the (very cool) VW van painted, including all the Dash logos and the Dash website.

2. He put up his own money to get 85 (I think) Dash T-shirts made.

3. He put up his own money to get a bunch of flyers put up.

4. He is aware of the places in and around Austin that the idea demographic people hang out, U of T, the Bitcoin meetups, etc etc etc.

5. He almost has the T-shirt place convinced to become a merchant that accepts Dash

6. He had a conversation with his banker friend, and now has an invitation to give a powerpoint presentation to a bunch of other bankers.

7. He is thoughtful, articulate and obviously well educated regarding crypto in general, and Dash in particular.

8. He is committed to promoting Dash whether we fund him or not.

9. My back of the napkin math suggests he's going to make about 8 dollars and pocket change on this deal. The rest goes into promo materials. The rolling billboard, the t-shirts, the flyers and Dash to entice people with their first wallets.

Yes, some MNs only vote at the end of the cycle but the average number of votes is just slightly above 900, though it depends quite a bit on the proposal.

Come on masternodes- I will make an impact. I've put a lot into this and I am going to be getting the DASH message across to at least 200 bitcoiners in Austin, TX! Austin has Apple headquarters, Bitcoin Association, Factom headquarters! I'll be mixing amonst all these groups preaching the benefits of the 2nd tier governance system and treasury!!! Instant. What is DASH Digital Cash and how will it surpass Bitcoin as the Top Digital Currency?


Thanks everyone for attending-I feel lucky to get to talk to you tonight about what I am going to talk about. I am here tonight to talk about DASH-Digital Cash- and why I think it should be on your radar as an investment and digital currency.

Many of you here have probably heard about Bitcoin in the news or heard a tech savvy friend bring it up from time to time. It’s a game changer in how we deal with money. Every economists can now agree on that. Before Bitcoin the world was really at the mercy of banks and governments when it came to any types of money or payment systems. We needed them for safe, secure transactions.

We don’t need them anymore. We can use them if we choose, but we don’t NEED them anymore.

Bitcoin came along and disrupted this trend ever so slightly at fist-with it’s almost mystical like origins of creation it started gaining traction slowly about 9 years ago making its way up from a ¼ of a penny per bitcoin to now hovering around 2,700 a bitcoin. For a long time bitcoin was the one and only digital currency that anyone could see as being legitimate and for lack of better terminology it remained the King of Digital Currencies.

Those days are also changing.

In economic theory the best currency always rises to the top. We have gone from seashells, to gold, to paper money as forms of payment. Now we have digital currencies possibly replacing paper money one day. Furthermore, we now have digital currencies competing amongst each other to create the best form of currency.

So what makes a good currency-digital or otherwise?
We need it to be accepted, we need it to be portable and we need it to have scarcity.

Gold in some ways is a great form of money. It has been accepted for thousands of years, to a degree it’s portable but could get heavy depending on what one is trying to trade it for and how far they have to walk. Without a doubt it has a scarce nature to it- you don’t find gold growing on trees. If we were not living in the days of the internet it would look like a very good currency in all defined categories. But the internet is changing how we do money and shopping, and it’s happening quickly.

Paper money has been an invention going on for a while now-the acceptance of paper money as a viable currency is probably at an all time high. However, most of all use cases of government issued paper currency has ended in chaotic hyperinflation periods. This is not good. Paper money is surely portable as it is light and folds neatly into a wallet or purse and may be what people like most about paper money on a basic level. You hold your note in your hand and you feel good. I own this. But wait…! that very dollar you hold in your hand can be recreated- that is it’s very downfall-people outside of your immediate circle decide how much of it is printed out and where exactly it goes. This is not good. This is not good at all.
There is no scarcity with paper money-it can be printed out over and over-this is what happens time and time again.


Founded in 1694, the British pound Sterling is the oldest fiat currency in existence. At a ripe old age of 317 years it must be considered a highly successful fiat currency. However, success is relative. The British pound was defined as 12 ounces of silver, so it's worth less than 1/200 or 0.5% of its original value.

The average life expectancy of a paper currency is 27 years- many governments currencies come and go causing there citizens a feeling of discomfort and trouble when they think about their financial situation. (possibly only on a subconscious level) Governments are able to manipulate the population through currency. Example- soldier will be paid x amount of dollars for carrying out x amount of tasks that provide our state x amount more power.



And then here comes digital currencies- a different system- not issued by governments or banks. The blockchain is the system that digital currencies like DASH and Bitcoin run on. It’s a system that clearly shows “this belongs to this” and “that was sent to that” that is verified by computers linked together on a global level. The blockchain is a public ledger.

Digital Currencies are gaining acceptance. In the past 7 years I have seen digital currencies grow more and more traction forming a bigger and bigger ecosystem. I do not see this stopping anytime soon so long as governments and banks remain human-which is to say imperfect and fool of folly. Digital currencies are run on principles of mathematics.

For a long time I thought I would never see Bitcoin find any real competitors in the Digital Currency race to be King! But that has changed- I now feel that DASH-Digital Cash- will overtake the place of Bitcoin over the next year or less.

DASH took a look at the bitcoin system and found holes in it that were holding it back–such as having no treasury or governance. In the beginning these issues were not paramount to Bitcoin but as the system has grown into a multibillion dollar financial settlement system things are changing.

Dash added a second layer to what the blockchain can do- where before bitcoin’s blockchain could confirm “this belongs to this” and “that was sent to that” DASH has a blockchain that can do those things as well as signal votes on the direction the currency takes, how to spend 10% of the market cap that it sets aside into a treasury for paying coders and marketing. These masternodes that signal votes on what to spend the treasury on are growing in numbe and also serve to provide instant send transactions. There is also a built in privacy feature to the DASH protocol as well- which is important to most people. We want our transactions instant, private and secure.

Bitcoin transactions are getting more and more backed up causing longer transaction times- thus meaning a merchant or friend you pay may have to wait several hours before being able to verify that the bitcoin they received is actually spendable. Compare that to the DASH instant send setup and you see bitcoin loses some of its value and it’s first movers advantage. Bitcoin has no treasury.

I feel as the current budget of the DASH community has approximately 1.21 million dollars to spend a month on coders and development, as well as promotion, the acceptance of DASH will rise at a rate that will only slow down when other coins begin trying to copy its successful model. No other coin even comes close to having this kind of power and incentive for people to contribute to their network at the time being. For example, when DASH starts having commercials on tv and all computer developers and coders know DASH pays the best salary by far for there work the DASH product will begin to blossom naturally. Just like it is…

My conclusion-may the best currency win. At the moment I see that currency as DASH. Until the US DOLLAR can balance itself out and until Bitcoin can form a 2nd tier governance system similar to DASH’s- I see DASH DIGITAL CASH climbing higher and higher up the charts.

I think it's evident that you have put much time and effort into working on this, so I must commend you there. You made several good points in this presentation, and think it's a good idea to hand out a copy.
My one suggestion would be to simplify the explanation by turning it into an experience.
If you're proposing to present this to a group of potential new users in person, a few slides demonstrating Amanda's social media campaign #FirstDashWallet and an invitation to take out their phones- might be an easy way to start.

Got about 17 people this week if you include my sister and her 7 she got. She has an excellent strategy that I'll share with the community. If you live in the United States, this is A GREAT WAY to get people in...she just got in, put this idea out, and it WORKS. The 7 people she got in probably totaled in amount of cash invested of around $850 total. However, it was money people didn't even know they had.

Even if you don't get funded up front, please do your best to carry out your plan, make as many PR videos as possible, and then you can return with evidence of your work and ask for future funding (and the costs of what you've already done.) I have voted YES for you, but there is a sense amongst the MN owners that we a liable to get scammed here. Fortunately there are ideas are being developed to help improve oversight and follow up of funding future proposals.

In the light of this environment you may have to be willing to provide evidence of your work upfront.

I hope you can do something for Dash even if you don't reach your target on this funding round.

If I had a cool VW van, I would 'Dash it up' anyway.

For a long time I was a Luddite and didn't embrace stuff like skype, twitter, instagram so I am having to play catch up.

With this I now have a misssion and will use all forms I can to get the message out. However, I think many people often underestimate the power of being out in public and actually speaking with people face to face.

My goal-as stated before- is to be the Andreas Antonopolous of DASH. If I fall short, I'll still be proud. I am building up my knowledge because as stated before- I am on a mission.

Blake, I really like your enthusiasm about this. You seem like a great guy, I think you have a great idea, and I'd really like to support you in this. But, as your proposal stands now, I simply cannot. You seem to have great intentions and a great plan, but we can't keep throwing money at intentions and plans.

If I had to vote today, I would vote no. However, I'm going to withhold my votes until the end because you still have plenty of time to turn this proposal into what it should be. Show us that you're going to give us $3500 worth of value (25 DSH) next month by giving us $500 worth of value this month.

You mention allocating 5 DASH for T-shirts, merchandise, and Dash demonstrations at Bitcoin-accepting stores.

* Can we see some of these shirts? Order a few now, order the rest after you've been funded.
* What kind of merchandise are you talking about? What is it, where is it coming from, how will it be used?
* Go to one of the bitcoin merchants that you plan to hit up. Do a video or take some photos of how it goes. Do one now, do the rest after you've been funded.

You're asking for nearly $3000 in travel expenses. That's going to be a big tour. What are the dates and locations of the events you'll be visiting? Can you go to one of these events right now, in whatever vehicle you have, and just gauge the crowd's reaction to Dash? As cool as it will be to arrive in a VW DashMobile, just do one with your normal car and show us how it goes.

I want to see that you're actually capable of carrying out your promises, not because I don't trust your integrity or your intentions, but because I shouldn't have to. As you mentioned, use this time to prove yourself to us. Do a good job on that before the voting deadline and you'll have my votes.

Hey working on putting together a video that outlines specifically a schedule of how I would execute my plan. It will be good. Trust me man, I'm good at meetups because I drop my ego and listen as well as speak. I got this my friend trust me. I'm not promising the moon-my goal is stated and I will achieve it. How much impact will I have for the Dash network could be broken down many different ways. Investors, Bitcoin maximalist conversion, speaking with coders about opportunities... I plan on going big and even bigger next proposal.

Hey I do appreciate the advice my friend. I am not going to let you down. I do have a motorcycle and a 1985 Chevy Truck but the truck is also at the painters shop- it's a sweet truck we found that had no rust so were putting a paint job on that. The motorcycle I only drive around my city, Nacogdoches, Tx and even then I don't like to go over 40 mph.

It's a no brainer way to get people on board-newbies or not... my sister came up with it. It is absolutely fantastic. Got about 1,500 dollars raised. Simple, simple, simple- money people didn't know they had.

It's a wonder how this proposal has at all received no votes... Seems legit to me and a reasonable price. This guy is willing to put himself out there and get more exposure, surely that's a good thing right? Voting yes.

I would encourage the 'no' voters to provide a reasonable comment supporting their choice or else reconsider voting 'yes'.

Foxtrot- man I appreciate that comment. I feel that people are possibly underestimating how many people I have gotten into digital currencies and how that number will go exponentially when it's my official mission. Not to mention that I am going to be systematically be attending meet-ups of digital currency enthusiasts.

At the bottom of the youtube video I offered the first three comments $20 in DASH which I am sending out now. AS promised.

The bus will look great, I will dress and act professional. I will be a great representative for DASH that is not too pushy but will be generous and informative.

I see such a huge market in Austin, Tx- my first spot-and I will be filming more and more stuff building up an online presence. Probably keep that idea of the first three comments receiving $20 for all my videos.

RIght now I have three businesses in mind that I want to try to get to accept DASH.

One of the main things I am focusing on right now is watching debates and learning as much as I can on the coding aspects of currencies. I want to be prepared for ALL questions and concerns. I am learning more and becoming more articulate on my positions. I still feel very confident in DASH at this point.

If you guys check out my youtube proposal comment section you will see that I gave away $20 of DASH to first three people to comment. I plan on doing that kind of thing in my videos. Hopefully you guys can not jump on those too quick as I want bitcoin maximalists to get some DASH.

I don't plan on recklessly throwing out cash but I also realize the value in getting people's attention- especially when the attention needed is a considerable amount to go....."AH.... Ok.... now I see how DASH is superior.....!"

I am also going to buy a cannon 5d camera- I used my cousins to shoot the video- I used to have a cannon 5d and I miss it anyways, not saying you guys should include that in budget but just listing out things I am doing.

Much, much, much appreciated! Dandy- this is a big deal to me! Me and my cousin (who I got into DASH) just shot a 3 minute video of me talking about myself and my intentions with this proposal. We did two takes- I may not come off as that articulate in the video but the point was to just shoot from the hip and show my true colors!

I expect there isn't enough surety here that you will come up with the goods, but I am voting yes anyway. I like the idea of a hippy bus touring around enthusiastically trying to tell people that dash is better than bitcoin. I understand I don't know for sure that you will do it as you say, but I think if it was a scam it wouldn't sound so earthy and simple. It just makes me feel like saying yes. If money gets tight this month I might reconsider later on.

Have faith gentlemen please-this will have impact. Got my fancy clothes on fixing to shoot a video addressing questions like why I got into digital currencies, why I feel DASH is a win, and what I aim to accomplish with the bus and the events I attend. I truly feel so many bitcoiners have goggles on about the true potential of coins like DASH- because when I start talking about the 2nd tier governance system and the treasury aspect their eyes glaze over the same way the general publics eyes often glaze over if you start talking about bitcoin. Transactions are taking quite a while with bitcoin and DASH solves this, it also has the whole DAO thing going that I am fairly confident will start moving in on the bitcoins first movers advantage. Please, help me, and thanks for the kind words-you guys have no idea how much it means. I am putting a fair amount on the line as I was just going to paint the bus turquoise and head down to Southern California for the summer. This allows me to be engaged with digital currency enthusiasts on my travels and show up to meetups in the DASH BUS.

AND ITS GONNA LOOK GREAT. The painter keeps asking me the vote count and telling me he already bought the paint and I am like, "Dude, it will work... don't worry... we got this...." I have faith in this idea because I feel it was always the thing missing from bitcoin- some form of compensation for our constant yakking (promoting) these ideas of digital currencies that do indeed have a shot at solving some of the bigger problems that our world economy faces. I am not pushy with my style of promotion, I feel it should be smooth and gentle and make the listeners not feel intimidated but welcomed in to the conversation.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.... video being posted soon and now that I have a youtube channel I will be documenting the bus transformation. It's getting close. The painter just called me and made sure I had the money for the clearcoat and additional costs that have occurred since it's not going to be the turquoise color paint that I already had.

I appreciate it my friend. I will not let you down. As stated I will focus on Austin, Tx this first month and hit up every meet up I can. I stated above in previous comment my brother gave me key to his apartment to have a base. The bus already got attention just by being a 69 vw bus but with this paint job it is sure to draw questions. I will maintain a solid online presence too- I got my sister, cousin, and two friends on board with DASH. My sister now has gotten at least 5 people, totally caught the fever.

I may be part hippie, but I also come from a pretty conservative background that understands what it takes to win someone over in debates on money, politics and such...waiting on cousin now to meet me at coffee shop and then were going up to the university in town to shoot a little video.

You need a lot of community reputation before getting an advance for work. The Dash DAO has been scammed by such promises multiple times in the past.
I'd recommend you just submit another proposal for the Dash back with no advance budget, then you can submit your expenses to the DAO afterward and get reimbursed.

Please have faith. I wont let you down. No scam, I am placing quite a bit of my own money up and have given a fair amount of DASH away over the last weeks. Will I regret that one day, maybe, but for now I love setting people up with wallets and catching up with them later for them to say, " Wow, that went up.... can I get more?"

I have experience with branding automobiles. Last year Dash sponsored the fifth annual Jackalope Freedom Festival. It included branding of the Dash Mobile. Before I wrote the proposal, we had just finished painting and branding the Bitcoin.com bus with the Bleish family in austin. We hired painters to do the inside and outside for $800. They are local to Austin and I'm sure I can get you in touch. Good luck with your proposal. The Dash Mobile is making one last tour to Texas this summer, maybe we can meet up.
